In his first major solo exhibition in twenty years, Richard Lane unveils a new series of ‘post-painterly abstraction’ works, extending upon his explorations in this field in the 1980s and 1990s.

Inspired by the Townsville landscape and the ground coverings found in his own backyard - which backs directly on to the picturesque Ross River - Lane’s works entice and challenge viewers with bold veils of colour.

Lane’s work is represented in public, private and corporate collections in Australia, New Zealand, USA, Germany, the UK, Singapore, Brazil, Italy, Sweden, Holland and Japan.
