Middlefield native makes NFL roster Durham
to gain medical tent
A Middlefield native has made the Green Bay Packers roster. Tim Boyle went undrafted in the 2018 NFL Draft and signed with the Packers as a free agent in May. The 6-4, 230-pound quarterback made Green Bay’s 53-man roster on Sept. 1. In Green Bay’s 31-17 preseason win over the Tennessee Titans, Boyle completed 7 of 15 throws for 130 yards and two touchdowns.
The Town of Durham Emergency Management Department was approved for an Emergency Services Inflatable Tent through the 2018 Neighborhood Assistance Act program.
Boyle attended Xavier High School in Middletown. He went on to play at the University of Connecticut from 2013-15 and at Eastern Kentucky in 2017. Currently listed as the third-string quarterback on Green Bay’s depth chart, Boyle will back-up Aaron Rodgers and DeShone Kizer.
