Residents overwhelmingly approved setting the date and time for the referendum vote, during a special town meeting on Oct. 29. Police warn about overnight vehicle burglaries By Bailey Wright Town Times
Police are warning residents about an increase in overnight car burglaries. “In the last couple of weeks, the Town of Durham has seen an increasing amount of vehicles gone through during the overnight hours,” a townwide alert said Monday. Most of the vehicles were left unlocked and the thieves have mostly been taking loose change and wallets, Durham Resident State Trooper Larry Morello said.
The Coginchaug Thunder basketball team won the 15-team Milford Tip-Off Tournament. Coginchaug defeated Trumbull in the championship game, 47-37. The Thunder are Katie Farr, Serena Fournier, Jackie Kelly, Samantha Mancini, Hannah Nielsen, Mia Poturnicki, Allison Sambor, Chloe Shafir, Bethy Sorensen and Allison Strang.
