School budget passes

On June 2, the proposed school budget for the 20152016 year passed at referendum by a combined unofficial vote of 842-590, a 252-vote margin. The $35,604,297 budget contains a net 1.21 percent increase over the current school year’s budget. “The positive outcome of tonight’s vote is affirmation that there is support for what we are doing on behalf of the students in Regional School District 13,” Superintendent of Schools Kathryn Veronesi said in a statement.
