Remove boot floor panel (2 fixings), Rear trim panel (2 plastic nuts) and side trim panels. Remove luggage retaining hooks (3 plastic fixings). On estate models it may be necessary to remove the luggage retaining rails from the boot floor if fitted. Unclip plastic panel and Remove light clusters— 4 nuts on each cluster and unclip wiring plug.

Remove bumper— 2 nuts on rear panel inside recess, 1 tip screw in each wheel arch, 2 plastic fixings, 1 nut or bolt in each liner, 4 torx screws on bottom edge and 2 bolts behind lower bumper. Unclip top edges of bumper and ease rearwards. Disconnect reversing sensors and breather pipe in right hand wheel arch. Remove heat shield panel and lower exhaust.

Remove impact beam— 4 nuts on outside of rear panel and 4 nuts inside the boot.Hand back to customer. Remove blanking plugs from chassis rails inside the boot. Release battery and cable holder move away from the chassis to reveal the forward mounting point. DO NOT DISCONNECT BATTERY. (note some models do not have the battery in the boot.

Cut a vertical slit in the foam seals to gain access to the inside of the chassis rails. Insert side arms LSA and RSA into the rails and loosely secure using set screws C with washers WB.

Manoeuvre crossbar CB over side arms LSA and RSA. Secure loosely to the rear panel using set screws B with washers WA. Note 2 of the fixing points may need drilling out to 13mm to accept set screw. Loosely attach crossbar to side arms using set screws C with washers WB.
6.
Tighten set screws B followed by set screws C. Check all fixings.
7.
Realign and secure battery and cable carrier.
8.
Remount exhaust and heat shield. Re-attach bumper along with reversing sensors and breather pipe.
Detachable Neck: Attach to crossbar CB using set screws Z. Swan Neck: Attach to crossbar CB with CP10 plates (standard orientation) using set screws Y & bolts W. Flange Neck: Attach to crossbar using bolts A & type approved towball (not supplied) using set screws G. 9.
Tighten all fasteners using a calibrated torque tool to the specified torque settings on the towbar drawing.
