S TR E A M I N G S E R I E S SCREAM 3 Most of us have never seen a full-on reboot in the middle of an anthology series, but MTV is doing just that with the upcoming third season of Scream . They’ve brought on writer Brett Matthews (of The Vampire Diaries and Supernatural fame) to head up the show, alongside a new team of producers that includes none other than Queen Latifah. Expect an entirely new cast of characters, plot and, rumour has it, the iconic ‘Ghostface’ mask that’s been missing from the series so far. Let’s face it, in the age of smartphones and social media, we’ve lost something special: printed photos. There’s just something about being able to hold and share a tangible image. Well, be prepared for the printed-photo renaissance. Manufacturers are jumping on the phone-to-print bandwagon (which is similar to the current vinyl craze) with mini pocket printers that sync directly with your phone. The latest in the fitness-tracking craze is a nifty ring from US manufacturer Motiv. Surprisingly powerful for its size, this ring allows you to track your entire day (not just at the gym) discreetly. It boasts a battery life of three days, optical heart sensor, Bluetooth smart-syncing and is waterproof. The only snag is that it was only available for Apple devices at the time of writing, with Motiv promising an Android release ‘soon’. Offlimit Communications, a local company that specialises in creating unique experiences at gigs, events and venues, has launched OLCaptura 360, a device that captures cool, social media-ready 360-degree videos of guests. This technology revolves any video camera 360 degrees around you on a stationary central platform. The result is a lively, 360-degree video that Offlimit describes as the ‘Matrix bullet-time effect’.

THE CREW 2 One of the most intriguing racing games featured at last year’s E3 event is finally coming to all platforms this month. Ubisoft’s The Crew 2 has been described as ‘batty’ but insanely fun by several reviewers because it features such a staggering amount of tracks, vehicles and classes (jump from a super-car into a biplane, into a racing boat and onto a dirt-bike – all in the same race). Set in a fictional world inside the borders of the US called ‘Motornation’, The Crew 2 boasts epic graphics, great handling and a whole host of additional online co-op content for your adrenaline-fuelled enjoyment.
