CAMPAIGN OVERVIEW
Chasing the Rains premiered on BBC America on Earth Day on 22nd April on Sky Nature and NOW TV. The four-part series followed three animal matriarchs - an elephant, cheetah and wild dog - in Kenya's wild lands as they protect their families during one of the worst droughts in 20 years. The series is narrated by award-winning actress Adjoa Andoh (Bridgerton). tpr media carried out a national campaign across TV, radio, online features and TV listings. Coverage highlights included interviews on Sky News, Times Radio and BBC Scotland, The Nine Show. The series had multiple national features, including in the Mirror the Daily Record (Scotland’s edition of The Mirror) the Big Issue, the Sun TV magazine, as well as a Behind-the Scenes in Broadcast Now. Listings for Chasing the Rains appeared in over 200 national newspapers and listings magazines, including the Telegraph, the Daily Mail, the Sun and Radio Times. This evaluation provides a sample of the coverage achieved. Overall there were 35 major pieces of coverage. The Opportunity to see (OTS) was valued at 19.5M, with an advertising value equivalency (AVE) of 2.69M.

*Opportunity to see (OTS) is a term which refers to an advertising campaign and the number of exposures or opportunities which a particular audience has to see a specific advert. **Advertising value equivalency (AVE) is used in PR to measure the dollar value of media coverage of a PR campaign. AVE would measure the size of the media coverage, the space it was put, and calculate the advertising rate for similar ad.
