AREA MASTER The authentic Area Master is an eclectic sportsman, who exalts himself in the close competition with the best, excels in casting and knows how to concentrate on the millimetric walk of the lure, until he feels through the line what for ordinary mortals is nothing important. To this special fisherman Rapture dedicates a refined series of rods with a rubberized reel seat, able to immediately integrate into the palm of the hand. The blank is very thin and takes advantage from the physical properties of CX-1 Micro Pitch carbon, a material that could be used to produce unrivalled guitar strings, as it is able to amplify the finest vibrations. The K profile guides were originally born for braided lines, because their frame can prevent the formation of tangles, dissipating them from the early stage. The larger ones, starting from the reel, are of a scalar diameter, but the later ones, particularly small, are all identical to ease the gentle flow of the line and prolong the flight of the smallest lure.

DRONE TX AREA Extremely light, balanced and precise, with an attractive dressing and superior handling, which starts from the essential reel seat. One of the most successful Rapture creations in the Trout Area segment. But the Drone TX Area is not afraid to face the classic competitions on medium-small sized trout, nor the exciting battles with those specimens to be immediately shared on social media. For all circumstances it has the right answer, because the first specialty of the CX-1 Micro Pitch carbon, from which its blank is structured, is exactly the calibrated reactivity to stress, always within the framework of extreme structural reliability. An element of great technical relevance is the CX Joint, where the diagonal orientation of the carbon fibers dissipates any stress, directing it upstream and downstream to avoid the unpleasant “flat area” which is the business card of standard level rods. Thus the rod behaves like a one-piece blank, projecting the smallest lure at the desired point, with great precision, even in conditions of headwind.

DIAVEL AREA EDITION Specialisation in trout fishing technology has been driven mainly by the match circuit, which has given a new impetus to the Rapture’s R&D team to create more and more high-performing equipment. The Diavel Area Edition series of rods is a shining example of how this chain of knowledge can be translated into tools that are pleasant to use, effective in their technical task and, ultimately, aesthetically pleasing. The range consists of two well-differentiated rods, with sophisticated magenta and blue decorations for instant recognition during the frenetic competition phases. Blue identifies the 5’8”, it’s the perfect rod for fishing with crankbaits or for the beginning of the session when speed is important, and bites are easier to take. While the magenta makes the 5’10” instantly recognisable, a softer action rod is suitable for spoons and the later stages, when the trout get tougher and the lines thinner, when losing a fish on the retrieve can cost you the competition.

AERIAL BOTTOM Bottom is the new frontier of the Area Trout world. When the Trout are stationary on the bottom and not at all aggressive, it’s necessary to reach and stimulate them with specific lures, which the user must be able to drive with high precision. For this reason the rod must respond exactly to the impulses dictated by the wrist, transferring them to the lure and receiving the return information, without dispersion. Compared to the standards for specific Area Trout rods, the blank of Bottom rods must maintain the classic sweetness of the curve in the upper part, while its body must offer superior reactivity. This happens magically in the Aerial Bottom, thanks to the physical properties of the High Modulus CX4 carbon and to the advanced geometric configuration, which provides a long top section ending with a solid carbon tip, jointed by a spigot to a short butt section with extreme taper design (High Vibe Handle). With tiny lures such as ultralight spoons, one of the main problems is lack of sensitivity, as contact with them is affected by line’s behaviour. Braided lines are the most sensitive around, but they tend to float, so, once in water, the alignment between rod’s tip and lure is never straight. SYSMA Sysma has been designed with computer assistance: it looks like a classic teardrop shape, but has two “shoulders” that slow down its fall and produce an inimitable sound. Let’s try a Diavel, the mini Rapture crank designed specifically for the signature fishing situations found in the Trout Area.

In the Area lakes it widens the range of catch opportunities, because it swims at relatively high depths and because the shape of its body is such as to allow a very slow retrieve, which proves to be very effective against indolent trout. With its frenetic oscillations and its ability to swim up to 2 meters deep, this lure makes the difference; if we then consider the range of available colours, with the fantastic “cluster” versions with random dots on the lip, too, we have an idea of how many options we can offer to Trout. Of course, hooks are single barbless Powerpoint, featuring the 3D Cut point for good penetration and safe holding.
The large surface of the lip and the position of the connecting ring to the main line make the Diavel Deep sink quickly, just after the impact with the water’s surface, and make it maintain a swimming bathymetric which, in most of the Area lakes, roughly corresponds to total depth. The very arched body’s shape and its wide back make this crank swing frantically, even at low retrieve regimes, giving time to the apathetic Trout to stop it without wasting too much energy.

VIBER The Viber is an atypical lure and cannot fit the standard classification, being not exactly a vibration lure, nor a minnow and not even a spoon. Rapture Measuring Zinger is the ideal accessory to link the Releaser to the angler’s trousers.
A must for the serious Area Trout angler, this tool enables to quickly and safely remove the hook from trout’s mouth without touching the fish. Thanks to very fine materials such as carbon and hi-density EVA, the Rapture solution is ultralight yet very stiff. The special head’s design allows to release the Trout in two different ways, according to the direction taken by fish. In case the releaser drops in the water, it floats thanks to EVA grip and light weight carbon stem.
