s much as things have been challenging for us all this year, I am definitely grateful for all the little milestones we’ve created. As soon as the pandemic shut down the world in March of this year, we paused, pivoted, and sought the Lord for our next directions. In doing so, we obtained an incredible new headquarters for Soulful Image Magazine. We have a fantastic office that now houses our business, some of our interviews, meetings, and more! We found ourselves a Mentor who has helped connect us with some great people and resources and as well given us some solid advice about our publication. We have more writers and contributors than ever before. We started to introduce facebook and instagram lives and recorded interviews. We created our first ebook called, “Act Like You Cannot Fail.” And we are excited about some incredible connections we’ve made in the last little while which is going to take us to the next level very quickly.

When you believe it is possible to receive your miracles, and when you line up your prayers and words with conviction and power, your actions will begin to show your belief and you will prepare to receive that of which you are seeking.
Getting Ready for a Great New Year.
I
n December last year we asked our community of followers if they had the power to fulfill a miracle what would it be. We received a flood of responses from healing sickness and diseases, eliminating world poverty, restoring relationships, eliminating hunger, homelessness and every extreme needs throughout the world. Do you know what all of these responses showed us? People truly do care about the conditions of families, relationships, their lives and want to make a difference throughout the world globally! But the question is how can you effectively create these miracles or any miracle in your life and the world altogether and actually see them come to pass? How can you make this next decade the most miraculous decade of your life? Here are a few things you will need to do consistently allowing you to create and manifest any miracle in your life. 1. Believe Miracles are Possible! Without belief you cannot have it. You

cannot receive what you do not believe. But if you believe it is possible and you believe it is yours without doubting you can and you will receive that miracle according to God’s will for your life. God knows what is best for you and the timing that is best for things to show up in your life when you submit everything to Him. You must believe miracles are possible and that God is a miracle working God that loves you and has your BEST interest at heart. 2. Prayers and Declarations When God created the universe He spoke everything into existence. His thoughts became words and His power in His words manifested in the physical. God has given us the same creative power through our own words. So when you pray and declare the promises of God over your life, your circumstances, or circumstances happening in the world, you will manifest your beliefs according to God’s will. Praying God’s word is Powerful! It cannot go back to God without it accomplishing

E.g. A person who was fired and is believing God for a financial miracle starting with a new job must first believe that God will provide what they ask and need. They will display faith through bold prayers and gratitude followed by actions of belief. They may begin putting out resumes and then prepare for interviews they expect to receive. The point is in order to receive miracles you must prepare for them as if you are expecting them to occur. God will meet you right where you are in your faith. The important thing is you must believe. Pray boldly and declare words of conviction. Then take action with the expectation that you Will have what you are praying for. Do this in everything submitting it all to God and you can experience a decade full of miraculous results, breakthroughs and success. Begin to see yourself creating a miraculous decade, becoming a powerful leader in your families, relationships, and communities. Commit yourself to doing your part. Everyone plays a part in God’s master plan. So focus on your purpose and eventually combined actions will make great impacts globally.

is the holly jolly season once again! December is here and if you are anything like me, your brain has already sent a million signals that lots should be happening right now in terms of preparation, and rightly so. So here are some of my recommendations as we tackle this season of celebrating our Saviour’s birth. You can start by creating a budget for gifts. Budgeting for gifts is such a therapeutic activity that is guaranteed to put some cheer into your holiday prep. Knowing exactly how much you have to spend and being intentional about sticking to that puts so much joy into giving. Not just that but it makes it super easy to determine where you can afford to shop generally based on your limit. It helps you to determine the gifts/cards that could be home-made if they are treats or DIY’s so that you are putting that much more personal love into your gift-giving. And then comes the topic that is sometimes just a bit tricky to deal with. Although you would love to be able to attend all the events and parties of all the wonderful women who you have met through networking, you must face the reality that this will not be possible this year due to Covid. Finding gracious ways to connect either over zoom, making phone calls and creating these scheduled times will help with the feelings of overwhelm as your schedule becomes more manageable and as you are able to look at your calendar with the ability of managing social distancing and spreading your Christmas spirit. Shopping your local thrift or consignment store or even your own closet in order to get your hands on fabulous holiday finds is another great way to maximize your dollar-cost value at this time of the year. While you may be able to mix and match pieces in order to create completely new stunning ensembles, the feeling of walking out of a store with an entire outfit costing $20 is phenomenal. Who says Christmas time has to send you into a maxed out credit card mode? Certainly not! Delicious, decadent entrées and treats help create the atmosphere at your own shin-dig. Making lists of dishes and stocking up early on ingredients weeks in advance is a must. There is no one happier for the holidays than the woman who is prepared for these holiday small gatherings with their wonderful gift-giving experiences and those glamorous outfits that put absolutely no pressure on the pocket book.

Light In Your Soul
D
uring my years of travel experience, I have had an opportunity to service many people at different capacities. Traveling gives us not only an opportunity to experience the world, but also to connect with others and share our stories.
One very vivid memory I have and still stays with me is of “John”, a client I booked out of Calgary Alberta. John had called the agency I worked for at the time and was very excited to book a vacation for himself, his wife, son and daughter. I gave him a few options and he decided to book a 5 star family resort in Playa Del Carmen, Mexico. He wanted the best for his family, so I also knew he would care for their well-being while away in a foreign country. After explaining the family plan for insurance, he added that to his vacation and was ready to finalize his trip. That resort was the Grand Princess By Yolande Castello Riviera Hotel. This resort is a Canadian favorite and very reasonably priced for families. What should have been a great vacation, turned out to be a vacation that would change the life of many, including myself as a Travel Consultant. My colleague called me on November 14th 2010 while I was at work, and asked me if I had a moment to speak. Hearing the tone and somberness of my colleague’s voice, I can tell it was very important, but I wasn’t prepared to hear what she was going to say to me. The devastating news was that the Grand Princess Riviera had a fatal explosion, the worst of it was that I found out that my client John, and his son were among the fatalities. My heart dropped and I immediately started seeking answers and desperately hoping it was a mistake. Unfortunately, this was not the case. I immediately had this desire to be part of the solution in such a heartbreaking tragedy, but how can I do this? I know that I didn’t speak with the wife as the husband insisted on doing all the bookings, and, what would I say? I decided to take the initiative and reach out the best way I knew how. I contacted the airline and to my satisfaction, not only did they reach out to the surviving members on the resort, they assisted in expenses for extended stays and travel expenses to fly everyone back home, including their deceased loved ones. This did bring me

some comfort, but I still had this desire to reach out. After a month after the accident, I reached out to John’s wife. To my surprise, she answered, seemed well and was back to work. My conversation was short, but I also wanted to make sure she was doing well, and reaching out to the right resources. She thanked me, and that was the end of the conversation. With that said, my job, although it is to make dreams come true and turn bucket list vacations into reality, there is that small percentage of Travel Consultants that will experience these kind of connections with their clients. A true Consultant is with you from the beginning to the end of the vacation, no matter the situation. It’s like a marriage, through the good times and bad. The purpose of this story is to make sure you choose a Travel Consultant who understands and cares for your needs before, during and after travel. Travel Consultants prepare you with what to do while away, and getting you prepared for when you leave. We’re there to make sure you have all your travel needs met, at least most of them. Prior to leaving on vacation, you should feel you are leaving with a sense of confidence and assurance that you as a traveller have made the right decision. Having a relationship that involves trust is very important. Especially when you are planning a getaway that can potentially change your life. Make sure you’re investing in someone that will deliver that door to door service. If anything goes wrong, there is someone you can lean on. Travelling can be stressful, especially in this unfortunate circumstance, and thankfully this is not the norm. Your travel experience not only boils down to the right vacation, but also, the right experiences from booking, to travel, to memories with family that can never be replaced or forgotten. Feeling Soulful

I
f you know me or follow me on social media you would probably say my passions are photography, branding, working out, and funky socks. What you may not know is that inspiring others by sharing my fitness journey gives me the most pleasure of all of them combined. Over the past years in particular my fitness journey, or my journey to better as I call it, has been well-documented and shared. It has been filled with ups and downs, but with hard work and commitment there have been more wins than losses. The question I get asked most is how it started. Looking back, there has been something in my life that kick started my drive to lose weight and get in shape. In my mid Twenties, when my 3 year old son called me “fat boy,” taunted me to catch him and ran away before I could. In my 30’s when a co-worker challenged me to get in “the best shape” possible in 12-weeks. Then again in the past 5 years with a few more fitness challenges. I won all of the challenges I entered. I even managed to catch my son for a time. However, winning challenges wasn’t enough to keep me motivated and I always put the weight back on and then some. There had to be something else.

Like many men I rarely go to the doctor unless I HAVE to. SO it was amazing that when I turned the big 4-0 I went for my second physical ever. I should note that I only did the first one as a requirement from US Immigration when I was moving to Atlanta. Everything checked out alright. Reflexes were sharp, I did my blood work, whatever they are looking for when they cup you and tell you to cough. All good, but before leaving the doctor’s office we discussed a few other things that were ailing me. Here’s how the conversation went:

Me: Doc, my shoulder hurts when I wake up in the morning Doctor: It’s likely because you are putting too much weight on it while sleeping. Lose weight. Me: My hair seems to be falling out prematurely Doctor: It is likely because you are sleeping on your back when your shoulder hurts too much and your head is rubbing on the pillow too much. Lose weight. Me: My girlfriend says that I snore like a freight train barreling down the tracks
Feeling Soulful was tired of failing and the see-saw battle of weight loss. I had given up before I even started. Then came the Black Men’s Health Challenge by Taibu Health Services. It was with a group of men that ranged from early 30’s to mid-50’s. It wasn’t just about working out or what to eat and when. We learned about cultural challenges black men faced and even did yoga. Then there was the competitive aspect. We were separated by East vs West and no one wanted to be the one that held the team back. Evenmore, we didn’t want to let our brothers slip and helped each other where we could. However, since it was a challenge and I wanted to win, I educated myself on Intermittent Fasting as well. I also researched and found my detox cocktail of lemon, ginger, apple cider vinegar turmeric and cinnamon that I still use off and on today. I won that challenge and two more after it as well. I went from a triple extra large to a large with a 36 inch waist. The gym and my love of cycling were no longer just tools to win competitions, but a part of my lifestyle and personal brand. However, it was my change in mindset that really made it all happen and continue to find ways to improve my health. I have retired from health challenges as they got me results in that 6 to 12 week period, but didn’t serve me after. Instead, I learned to seek to better myself and be happy with small improvements. Doctor: He didn’t say anything and just looked at me … You would think I’d get the message, but I went about my life as if nothing happened. Even after I got that dreaded phone call that I needed to come back in

to see the Doctor for a follow-up. They found elevated levels of fat around my liver. He told me that it wasn’t “serious”, but something to watch. Guess what the Doctor told me to do though”? You guessed it “lose weight!” So I went out, joined a gym and didn’t go for over a year. I know what you are thinking. How could a university educated, grown man with three kids and a growing business NOT want to take care of his health. Truth is that I didn’t care enough, but more so I was scared. What if I put in all this effort try to lose weight and like the other times wind up just putting the weight back on? I
It reinforced that I can accomplish whatever I want IF I believe I can do it, visualize the outcome and be prepared to put in the work. Coming to terms with the fact that I am at my best when pushed or challenged was an important eye opener. However, being honest, beating others feels nice, but finding greatness within, embracing it and giving it life is the purpose of the journey. To become the best you, whatever that is. hen most of the women hear about gym, exercise, training and workouts, most of them believe that it’s all about six-packs, big biceps triceps or huge legs, but that’s not true. Research has shown that a good workout is beneficial for women’s mental health especially for those with mental illness such as anxiety or mood disorders,and have shown that exercise is a no-chemical treatment. Studies have also shown that aerobic exercise that raises the heart rate, such as biking, running swimming can add years to their lives and even be as effective as regular medical treatment. Based on statistics, women who exercise regularly get an enormous sense of well-being, feel more energetic throughout the day, sleep better at night and have sharper memories. A regular exercise routine is an investment for your mind, body and soul, which is known as the triangle of well-being. When it becomes a habit it can foster your sense of selfworth and make you feel better about your appearance, boost your confidence, and help you become more motivated and set new fitness goals. Most of us women now a days have faced mental or emotional challenges in life. Exercise can help us to cope in a healthy way instead of resorting to alcohol, drugs, or other negative behaviors. Regular exercise can also help women boost their immune system and reduce the impact of mental stress. Contrary to popular belief, you don’t have to devote hours out of your busy day to train at the gym, sweat buckets or run mile
Despite being a size 20, Charlotte Clarke is always up for an aerobics after monotonous mile. You can reap all the physical and mental health benefits of exercise with just thirty minutes five times a week. Two fifteen minutes or even three ten minutes exercise sessions can also work just fine. A recent study in the United Kingdom found that women who squeeze their exercise routines into one or two sessions
during the weekend experience almost as many health benefits as those who work out more often. So do not let a busy schedule at work, or home be an excuse to avoid activity. Get moving whenever you can, find the time your mind and body will thank you.

Satisfy Your Soul
Miracles: The Reward for Our Obedience
S
ome think miracles are circumstances that happens out of nowhere. But as a believer you must know the real source of these divine events. They are the ultimate blessings from God that arrive right on time. They happen when you need them the most and when you are in your darkest hour. These extraordinary occurrences don’t just happen, they are your reward for your obedience to God. When you hear his voice directing you to do and say things, you must obey his calling. He may have a miracle right around the corner but you will never know unless you trust in him, his unfathomable plan, and obey his word. It is not alway easy to follow his directions without questions. His call to action almost always has to do with helping someone who really doesn’t deserve your kindness, doing something you are terrified to do or being merciful to others who don’t deserve it. More often than not he is calling you to transcend your worldy mantras and beliefs to move closer to him and into his light, the light miracles are made of. The perceptions and ideals that your mind has created by others or yourself can assist you for sometime, but there will come a day when your faith and obedience will be tested.
Your Miracle Awaits
The tests that he will lay before you will come in many forms to see if you are ready to receive the miracle you seek. You would be hesitant to give free money to a gambling addict so God needs to be sure his miracle will not be wasted. This does not mean it won’t happen, it just means you will need to shed your toxic thinking and uproot the source and move closer to him. This is much harder than it sounds and it will take numerous attempts to succeed. Remember: These tests are not here to plague you or hold you back. God is trying to break your limiting mindsets and bring you into his blessed

plan. Even I remind myself of this often.
Walk in faith and step into his plan:
As a strong believer, I know his high plan for my life is unfolding everyday provided I obey his commands. Though at times it has proven difficult because I can’t always see where the immediate tangible blessings will come from in a particular command. It is always within the moment of my humanity I act out of emotion and realize that I have failed his test yet again. The more he gives me the same test the more I need to rewire my thoughts to walk in faith of his plan. Everything he brings into your life is apart of his higher plan for you. We all must abandon the plan we have so delicately orchestrated and step into the one he already has in place. His plan is blessed, his plan will workout, and his plan is always protected.
Praise Him:
He has brought you this far and has further to take you. With each test that is mastered, no matter how small, you move closer to him. As his presence grows in your life there is no longer room for the old aspects of yourself. You must praise him with a grateful heart because he has seen you though turbulent times, protected you and given you strength through it all. My mom always says: God never sends a bird without a branch. In everything he does there is a reason and connection. You cannot see it at first but when you fill your heart with gratitude and joy everything becomes clear. Thank him for the stuggles and unpleasant times because there is always a purpose that leads to healing, growth and salvation. By Kirsten Soupourmas
Handle Your Business
Using Your Faith as Your Financial Foundation By Dr. Cynthia Stone
A
re you carrying excess weight in regards to interest rates, debt repayment, poor credit and more? Well, just like it sounds, staying fit is crucial to your overall wellbeing and health. The alternative is, of course, dread, stress, depression, excess fees, not to mention the blocks it puts on you in terms of Christmas presents, extracurricular activities for your children, home and auto maintenance and more. Without a proper financial base, relationships in your life will suffer. With a solid financial foundation, it will allow you the freedom to pursue your dreams, freeing you from the grind of wage slavery and enabling you to do more with the people you love and all those within your circle of influence. The key is to strike a balance between having a solid foundation of profit, and making profit your number one priority…the false profit/prophet. When you make it the be-all and end-all of your endeavours, you create a love of money that the Bible warns about as being the “root of all evil.” This does not mean that money in and of itself is evil, it implies that placing money above all else is. This is where I believe a lot of faith-filled people go astray… where they allow their obsessive and excessive worry about material needs overwhelm them. In doing so, it demonstrates a lack of trust in the Lord. When we entertain such analysis paralysis we become slaves to wages, acting like outsiders to the family of the Lord. Instead, we are encouraged to trust in God for the provision of our material needs. Just as it appears in nature, if God can provide food for birds and beauty for flowers, so too can God provide for his children. Trusting in God frees us to pursue God’s kingdom as our primary priority. Further, we are encouraged to be grateful to God for the past provision of material needs. We are also reminded to be mindful of the finances that God entrusts to our care. After all, if we cannot

track where we spend the lower amounts of income, how can God trust that we will be able to manage the abundance that is promised to us? To that end, we are instructed to to be wise managers of money. Finally, we are encouraged to be charitable, giving generously to the needy from the vast abundance on loan from the Lord. When you get serious about money as a stewardship, it allows you to fulfill your life purpose and creates the momentum necessary for you to bring in more money. Like a flashlight, when one cultivates an appreciation for money, rather than an obsession for money, it can serve as a tool to shed light on the areas of your life that are most important.

et’s face it, if anyone can save Christmas 2020, it’s Mariah Carey.
The vocal superstar has a gift for everyone for the end of this dramatic year by giving us one of the best holiday specials in decades. The sparkling trailer for her upcoming “Mariah Carey’s Magical Christmas Special,” premiered on Apple TV+ Friday Dec. 4, and believe me, it was the feel good Christmas cheer we all needed. “I’ve got a great story to tell ya,” narrator Tiffany Haddish says while opening a book. “’Twas the night before Christmas and 2020 had been wrecked, so Santa decided that season couldn’t be merry, without the one and only Mariah Carey.” The “Queen of Christmas” takes us on a magical journey to her sparkling winter wonderland filled with glistening white snow, little workshops, dancing elves, and of course Ms. Carey herself sarenading us with familiar Christmas classic and some Christmas hit from her past albums. She appears reminding everyone that “we could all use a little magic” this holiday as the coronavirus pandemic rages on. Carey’s holiday special included star-studded appearances from Billy Eichner, Snoop Dogg, Jermaine Dupri and Misty Copeland and even the Peanuts Gang. (Yeah, Charlie Brown, Snoopy and the crew is in this too!) There is even a teaming up of “Oh Santa” by Carey accompanied with powerhouse singers Jennifer Hudson and Ariana Grande in matching green dresses and choreography, that will earn the three the title of the “new vocal trinity”. Carey’s 9-year-old twins she shares with ex, Nick Cannon, son Moroccan and daughter Monroe also made an appearance singing and dancing alongside their glamourous mother which I’m sure will be one of the best memories they’ll ever have. It has been a long time since we were given a great Christmas TV special that isn’t animate, but Mariah Carey hit it out the park with this one. It was just the thing we needed to pull our heart strings from a tough year and remind us that some precious things doesn’t have to change. Mariah ended this year on one of her special high notes only she can hit. Go see it on Apple TV.

ith 2021 just around the corner, I believe it is important to renew your mind and begin to think about the things that you truly want to accomplish next year. Everything that happens is created from your thoughts, your words and your actions. Fear is something that shows up to derail you from the manifestation of something great in your life. I believe when fear or anxiety shows up it is natures way of saying, are you sure you believe what you believe? Because faith and fear cannot exist at the same time. If you are dedicating your life to faith, you must diligently guard your thoughts, your words and how you respond to things. It sounds easy, but it takes real commitment to see it through. So in order to experience the miracles and destiny things you have been asking God for in this next season, you must fully understand that the power is in your mouth. Proverbs 18:21: The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit. Through your consistent decrees, declarations, and affirmations your WORDS will cause a DIVINE REACTION! God will miraculously put into action what you consistently speak

through unshakeable faith over your life. My heart says that after all that you have gained and lost in this last season through the pandemic, you will realize that there is no time to waste. Tomorrow is not promised to any of us. So run your race. Run it strong, without doubt, and knowing that God is with you and has your back. You cannot fail when you know with everything in your being where you are supposed to be and all that you want to achieve. When you surrender to God’s will for your life, every miracle, every blessing, every resource will be available to you. You must go out and take it by force. Speak those words every single day! Do not let up. Speak them in the morning, at lunchtime and before you go to bed. Pray them with your spouse, your prayer group or with a friend. Your miracles are waiting for you to take action. Once you decide that you are not willing to live a life of poverty, sickness, disease or defeat ever again, you will have access to everything God wants for you to succeed. Just go get it!
I pray you will focus on all the blessings you have right now in Jesus name. Let your gratitude and worship provide the fuel that you will need to end this season strong and begin the next with great favour.
