DISTILLERY & VISITOR CENTRE

Pure origins.

The first spirit ran from the stills at the Isle of Arran Distillery at 14.29 on 29th June 1995 bringing legal distillation back to Arran after more than 150 years. The Distillery, nestled in the foothills of the village of Lochranza on the north-west tip of Arran, remains the only whisky producer on the island.

Pure water.

Loch na Davie. A little lochan, high in the hills above Lochranza. Before the Distllery was built, the water here was verified by geologists as being perfect for whisky production. It reaches the Distillery via the small Easan Biorach Stream.

Pure charm.

Where better to taste the Arran Single Malt than in our charming Distillery and Visitor Centre. Enjoy a tour of the Distillery with our experienced and entertaining guides and learn how whisky is made from barley to bottle. At the end of your tour savour a dram of The Arran Malt or try our delicious Arran Gold Malt Whisky Cream Liqueur in the welcoming tasting bar. Our cafe, the Eagles’ Nest, serves locally sourced fresh food and is the ideal place to relax and enjoy the stunning scenery and panoramic views. Finally, why not take home some whisky from our Distillery shop to remember your special day on Arran.

Pure magic.

Isle of Arran is blessed with a sheltered climate that helps our whisky mature more readily in the cask, and we use both sherry and bourbon casks for perfect balance. The result is a fuller bodied dram that shows maturity far beyond its years.

Pure taste.

The award-winning Arran Single Malt is enjoyed by whisky lovers around the world. The full range of Arran bottlings, from the flagship 10 Years Old through to our Single Cask selection, truly offers something for everyone and reflects the passion and pride we take in making our whisky. “Sheer class” Jim Murray, Whisky Bible
