Message from the artistic director Greetings theatre-lovers, Lyric supporters, and I hope new friends! I’m Michael Baron, Lyric Theatre’s new Artistic Director, and I am excited and proud to make

Oklahoma City my home. I have recently come from Washington, D.C. where I worked at the 2009 Tony Award-winning Signature Theatre, which like Lyric, is known for producing world-class musicals and award-winning plays. I invite you to come take an exciting journey with me as Lyric presents the most ambitious season ever in its 47 year history. Our new season includes 8 brand-new productions, 6 of which Lyric has never produced before! I can’t wait for you to enjoy the sweet country sounds of Always. . .
