On behalf of our family, we would like to personally invite everyone to visit us on March 12, 2024.
This is our 26th year trying to raise the best Red Angus cattle in the strictest environments. For us, quality cattle have never been the exception; they are the rule. I take the responsibility of providing breeding pieces for my customer’s cowherd extremely seriously, the breeding decisions I make in the spring each year, aren’t made with my back pocket in mind but the influence the results will make on the profitability and productivity of you, my customers programs.
Good cattle always bring a premium. While we sell a unique set of heifers each year, every cow behind these bulls has a story, we are as tough as anyone on our own cowherd, and we don’t make excuses for the ones that don’t produce year in and year out. I welcome you to tour the cow herd and replacement heifers. We have nothing to hide and know it will be worth your time. We certainly have an open door policy and welcome visitors year round to the farm.
Over the years, I’ve run Weber Land & Cattle with a “common sense” approach to breeding cattle. They need to breed up, have good feet and udders, be low input and wean a big calf. No excuses. We’ve sent some great ones to town that didn’t fit the bill. Long-term, I always figured, it’s cheaper than sending them to the customer. A combination of power, balance on paper and performance on pasture are what we strive for. You will notice throughout the offering that there are cattle that will fit various production goals, from heavy weighing power bulls, to sleep all night calving ease options. We have been working tirelessly to develop an offering of bulls that are built with phenotypic excellence and longevity in mind, but ones that still carry the backing of science and genomics, and in hand opening to door to the largest opportunity for profit available to our customers.
If you get the catalog and like what you see, give me a call. Good cattle, honesty and trust have built the WEBR program to what it is today, and I’d love the opportunity to earn your business.

WEBERLANDANDCATTLE.COM
The Weber family of Lake Benton, Minnesota has strong and very significant ties to the seedstock business and the registered bull trade. It’s a family name synonymous with quality, integrity, and reputation. A name tied strongly to success, longevity, and accomplishment within the industry and so it is with that, we welcome you to the 2024 edition of the Weber Land & Cattle Annual Bull Sale.
Jesse Weber drove a stake deep in the ground years ago and vowed to always stay in front of the pack genetically while maintaining the flawless, fault-free, high-quality kind that he had always been tied to. To say that Jesse sold himself short on his goals would be the farthest thing from the truth. The operation has led the breed in an intimate fashion remaining fairly humble in numbers marketed each year but that is exactly why the quality runs so deep in every set of male-born progeny that he offers on an annual basis. Focused on the fundamentals and not forgiving or creating exceptions for flaws or issues with stock that aren’t built how they should be to withstand the pressures of any environment or setting they are introduced to. The program’s balanced approach to physical quality and balanced numeric and economic validity cannot be denied and is known by anyone who has invested in or studied the program.
We believe that the goods will most definitely be in Lake Benton again this year. The boys of Weber Land & Cattle are led by a dominating son of STRA Relentless who ranks among the top third of the entire breed for fifteen traits with profitability indexes in the top 1% for ProS and HB, as well as the top 2% for GM. He is matched with power, shape, and density, all complimentary to his undeniable look and balance. The rest of the boys will not disappoint as we expect you to find the trademark kind that so many of you are accustomed to tying into at the Weber firm. End product results at whatever stage of marketing you choose is why Jesse works so tirelessly to produce seedstock that offers the balance and flexibility for your endpoint marketing of choice.
The prolific cowherd that produced this offering is one to reckon with for any stockman. They represent decades of culling and selection pressure placed on feet, fertility, udders, and kind. It is without question the dominant position of this working cowherd in the breed as they impress nearly every set of eyes that hits them. Huge feet with heel depth, impeccable flexibility, and skeletal integrity that is blended with the right pattern, body shape, and true beef dimension. They are the kind that creates envy and admiration, and generates the desire to be like or better than.
This offering of red-hided studs will not disappoint and per usual they are worthy of your time and fuel to view in person. If you have done business with the family in the past then you know why you return each year, but for those that have not tied to the WEBR prefix then your moment is on the 12th day of March to make that happen. This family would be one of the finest outfits in the industry with great vision, ambition, and execution. Please feel free to reach out to any of the Innovation AgMarketing team members if you should need assistance with your selections.
Enjoy the bulls,
Tim Anderson Graham Blagg Jered Shipman

Guide to Genetic Data
PRO S
Profitability and Sustainability is an all-purpose index that predicts average economic differences in all segments in the beef supply chain. This index is a combination of the breeding objectives modeled in the HerdBuilder and GridMaster selection indexes. In this index, replacement heifers are retained from within the herd and all remaining progeny are fed out to slaughter and sold on a quality-based grid. Traits included in this index include calving ease, growth, HPG, STAY, Mature Weight, Dry Matter Intake and carcass traits. The resulting index is expressed in dollars per head born (Index/High Value).
“HB
HerdBuilder is a maternal selection index that predicts the economic differences of animals for traits that are important from conception through weaning. Expressed as dollars per head born, HB is calculated based on the scenario that bulls are mated to heifers and cows, replacement heifers are retained and all remaining progeny are marketed at weaning. Traits included in the HB index include Calving Ease Direct, Calving Ease Maternal, Weaning Weight, Milk, Mature Weight, Heifer Pregnancy and Stayability (Index/High Value).
GM
GridMaster is a selection index that predicts the average economic difference of non-replacement calves through the postweaning phase of production. GM places selection pressure on growth, feedyard performance and carcass traits. Expressed as dollars per head born, GM is calculated based on the scenario that progeny are fed out to slaughter and marketed on a quality-based carcass grid. Traits included in GM include Average Daily Gain, Carcass Weight, Dry Matter Intake, Marbling, Back Fat and Rib Eye Area (Index/ High Value).
Calving Ease Direct predicts differences in the percent of calves born unassisted out of 2-year-old dams. (Percent/High Value)
Birth Weight predicts differences in actual birth weight of progeny. (Pounds/Low Value)
Weaning Weight predicts differences in 205-day weaning weight. (Pounds/High Value)
Yearling Weight predicts differences in 365-day yearling weight. (Pounds/High Value)
Milk predicts differences in weaning weight attributed to the milking ability of the animal’s daughters. (Pounds/High Value)
Stayability predicts differences in the ability of an animals’ retained daughters to remain productive in the herd – calve every year – through 6 years of age. (Percent/High Value)
Marbling predicts differences in marbling score – amount of intramuscular fat measured at the 13th rib. (Marbling Score Units/High Value)
Ribeye Area predicts differences in square inches of ribeye area measured at the 13th rib.(Square Inches/High Value)
“For over a decade our family has bought cattle from Weber Land and Cattle and we have nothing but good things to say about the quality of their cattle. For our herd, we look for high-quality Red Angus cattle with high-caliber maternal traits and outstanding yields when calves are taken to market. As a result of buying bulls from Jesse, we have seen nothing but positive improvements within our herd whether it’s replacement heifers or steers. We are proud to say that we do not need to worry about trimming feet on the cattle and the replacement females out of the WEBR bulls have beautiful udders. Not only does Weber Land and Cattle provide high-quality beef animals but they also provide their customers with the best service and knowledge within the industry.

Here we have the product of generations of meticulous breeding decisions that were derived from our mission to provide our customers with herd bulls that withstand both the phenotypic demands of the cowboy kind and the science that is built to help producers breed for added profitability and efficiency. WEBR Relentless 306 quickly becomes an outlier for his ability to combine both the phenotype and genotype that is demanded at the forefront of the business, we truly believe he is the type and kind to tie to, in a breed that is yearning for a combination kind of sire. Seldom will you find any individual to record the profitability indexes that come with WEBR Relentless 306, his genomically enhanced EPD’s rank him top 1% ProS, top 1% HB and top 2% GM, and across the board his dataset records 17 traits that rank in the top third of the registry or better. Regardless of the power that comes under the hide, you will find a bull in the flesh that demands the attention of the most astute stockmen, as he exudes quality and dominance from one end of his skeleton to the other. Pedigree wise, his dam is the newest addition to the Lana legacy, she is a first calving daughter of ‘Beartooth’ and is a maternal sister to both WEBR Revival 2120, that was purchased by Jody Brown last year and the $15,000 WEBR Hawthorn 84H stud that was purchased by Timber Creek Ranch of Marietta, Oklahoma in the 2021 Bull Sale. The culmination of pedigree, genomics and phenotype come together in a very special package to lead off the 2024 class of Weber Land & Cattle sale bulls.

WEBR Halestorm 341 will be the choice of stockmen that opt for added boldness of shape, expression of muscle and impressive base width. This extra round bodied, big ended stud reminds us a lot of his sire in the fact that he is just so impressive to the eye. Maternally he links back to a potent producing cow family for the program, as his ‘Beartooth’ sired dam stems from the generational producer, WEBR Dolly 416. In fact a maternal brother to Lot 2, WEBR Declare 2106 was the heaviest yearling weight and highest ADG bull in the 2023 Bull Sale, and went on to be the $15,000 selection of Westphal Red Angus in Montana. This year’s model follows the trend offering a highperformance genetic package that similarly reads impressive for both the ProS and HB indexes.

WEBR Spartan 339 leaves nothing to the imagination when it comes to a herd bull candidate that is going to inject growth into his progeny and therefore profitability if you are using the most common metric to market your livestock. With the upward trend of the market, and a very optimistic future for those in the beef business, there has never been a better chance to receive significant returns on an investment in a herd bull that will inject pounds! His sire, WEBR Spartan J21 is becoming a go to choice of our herdsire battery after this first calf crop, he consistently is siring cattle that will improve quality and growth in the first generation. His dam is a full sister to the lead off female from our Inaugural Ripple Effect female sale that sold for $14,000 to Jason Bragg and is also the dam of last year’s $10,000 selection of Shady Bottom Ranch of Tennessee. He recorded 106 and 107 WW and YW ratios respectively, and is certainly one you will gravitate to when you come to see the bull offering in person.
Lot 4
A direct son of the beautiful, WEBR Sun Gal 866 female who carries a reputation of excellence through her impressive repertoire of sons and daughters that are production. This would be her biggest growth and highest performing son to date, as he charts with top 9% WW and top 17% YW figures, and then also scanned off the charts to record a 132 IMF ratio. We love the combination of impressive shape, yet functional build that he is blessed with, because not only does he wow from a muscle standpoint but will be appreciated for how flexible and rugged his structural kind is.
Lot 5
RECORDED THE 3RD HEAVIEST ADG OF THE ENTIRE OFFERING
With every stage of maturity, WEBR Spartan 3107 elevates his position on the favorites list in Lake Benton. While he may be one of the younger bulls of the group by birthdate, it would be hard to assume that anymore, as his impressive growth trend has positioned him among the biggest and burliest bulls you will find in the sale pen. The later maturing stud reads with a similar fashion, sporting top 14% WW, top 7% YW and top 4% ADG figures. He too comes with a top 7% Milk figure and top 14% CW. He stems from the maternal power of the prolific 896X ULRA through a daughter that would be a full sister to the WEBR Mary Kate 19H female that Kirk Duff bought.

We are excited to unveil the first sons of C-BAR Red Baron 207J. We purchased the LACY Collusion 115F son because of his impressive type and kind, impeccable foot structure and menacing muscle shape. WEBR Red Barron 351 stems from generations of pay weight and has the potential to transmit this into his calf crops and beyond. In support of the bottom side of the equation you will find a tenured, role model producer for the WEBR brand in WEBR Daisy 1209. She has yielded several natural born sons to the sale pen, including WEBR Reform 85H who sold for $13,000 to Koedam Cattle Co. in the 2021 Bull Sale, and other maternal brothers now working for Z & J Farms, Home Stake Ranch, Crystal Josephsen, Rett Scoogin, Sturdy Post Ranch & Kevin Patzel.

The new sire group brings a fresh pedigree to the mix for those that have invested in the program over time. We think these C-BAR Red Baron 207J sons are built to perfectly compliment the cowherd, and will help steer it into the future as his progeny maintain the growth curve we demand while upholding the phenotype that is essential for our approval. We love the added shape and dimension that comes with WEBR Red Barron 325 yet he still balances up really neat and looks like he would sire daughters that would sift to the replacement pen in a hurry. His mother has been a role model producer in the cowherd, always calving earlier year after year and putting sons in the bull sale or daughters back in the cowherd, she is the producing kind and comes with the backing of a royal cow family. The maternal brother to Lot 7 that sold in the 2022 Bull Sale weaned off at over 800 lbs. and sold to Kevin Patzel for $10,500.
The Baron Sons
Lot 8
A direct son of the picture perfect, WEBR Sweetness 574 and out of the new kid on the block, C-BAR Red Baron 207J. We love the powerful build that WEBR Red Barron 348 is built with, and think that regardless of how you view him, you will be met with a demanding stature. His genomic predictions back up our theories of him being a growth promoter in his new place of employment and that he too will sire cattle with impressive yield grades.
Lot 9
The maternal backing of WEBR Red Barron 330 is about as good as you will find. The EIR Y200 donor was made famous by her son, WEBR Shameless 34G that was purchased and promoted by Fort Hays State University and is gaining steam as a reliable source of phenotypic excellence for programs nationwide that place heavy pressure on that selection criteria. Apart from the phenotypic drawcards of Reb Barron 330, you will find a very impressive set of profitability indexes accompanying his influence, with top 3% ProS and top 2% HB rankings.

However his phenotype just begins the list of impressive attributes he offers, as diving further into the story of 382 you will find that he is backed by a cow family that will cause no disappointment! The maternal granddam of 382 is a female that is of major significance, C-Bar Stony W914 has close to 80 progeny registered with the Red Angus Association of America, including a son by the name of C-Bar Eldorado 114Z who has featured progeny in cowherds across North America. DAM OF LOT 12

Topping the class at weaning time and recording a 111 WWR he continued on to a year recording a 107 YWR. If pounds equal dollars in your marketing program, then this son of presents himself as a premier option in this offering. Genomically, he ranks top 7% WW and top 13% YW. 392 comes to you as not only a standout on paper, but also at the scale, he has real world performance in a burly and heavy muscled package. A long sided, powerfully shaped, wide based son of Six Mile Wood River 219H that continues the high growth trends that he so consistently injects. WEBR Wood River 397 weaned off at just shy of 700 lbs. of adjusted weaning weight to be among the upper echelon of the group. His picture-perfect dam records a 105 DMPPA and he is a maternal brother to one of Tony Gelderman’s purchases in last years sale.

MATERNAL BROTHER TO LOT 13
WEBR Wood River 383 offers an appealing combination of appropriate birthweight and then trends to be even more impressive come weaning and yearling time. 383 came light and unassisted, ratioing an 87 with his modest 77 lbs. birthweight. He then records 3.2 lbs. per day of age and is maturing with added muscle and a later maturity, longer sided phenotype. He will add pounds when it counts. However we think his most valuable traits will be improving phenotype, as he has a build that is difficult to replicate, being extra dimensional, bold ribbed and powerful hipped, yet he remains flexible at the ground and sets down with a big and correct foot. The maternal brother to Lot 14 was purchased for $30,000 out of our 2022 Bull Sale by J6 Farms of Gibbon, Nebraska.

WEBR Brando 369 combines several of the most potent breeding forces in program history into one impressive package! Take note of the iconic Miss BHR Copper D 946 female that appears in his maternal pedigree, she continues to add stripes to her breeding resume with each calf crop. She is the kind that is helping to bridge the gap between cattle that excel on the hoof and cattle that excel on paper. This growth promoter is unrivaled in terms of boldness of body and balance. He is one that we admire from a structural integrity, and flexibility standpoint. A true athlete on the move that is continuing to mature impressively with a robust ribcage and swoopy underline. He is truly a phenotypic standout of the group, and on paper backs up the claims with his impressive set of growth and performance driven EPD tabulations. She is proving to have the herd bull generating potential we always predicted she had with this second son of Red Six Mile Brando 666C. The first sold to Hohn Red Angus of Dimock, South Dakota in the 2022 Bull Sale. We have retained one daughter and the other three have been sale highlights through past editions of the “Ladies in Red” and “Built from the Ground Up” female sales. Certainly an impressive beast selling here! WEBR Brando 3125 is a big bodied, deep sided herd bull that is sound footed, bold sprung and still athletic in his build. Maternally he stems back to the immortal, Presser’s Daisy 201 donor cow, making his dam a maternal sister to the one that started it all, WEBR Ms Sue Ellen 18S or as she is known by many, “CJ” that went on from being the Grand Champion Red Angus Female at the 2007 North American to a leading producer for programs nationwide. He recorded a 107 WWR and 108 YWR, pounds pay and that’s exactly what will come from adding 3125 to the breeding roster. Expect his progeny to grow quickly once they hit the ground!

Michelle Weber is an artist living and working on her family ranch in the heart of the Midwest. As a self-taught painter, she sharpened her skills in childhood on the plains of Minnesota where farm life provided the opportunity to study intricate details of animals and the natural world to sketch on canvas. Now her daily life as an active cattle producer allows her to turn modern ranch life into timeless pieces of art.
Using her knowledge of livestock structure, phenotype, and movement Weber’s paintings and sketches focus on the details. The look in an eye or the connection between a cow/calf pair creates authentic, pure moments viewers come to expect in her artistry. Combined with her artwork’s naturally evolving feeling of movement, texture, and color Weber’s style continues to draw a following from industry leaders and ranchers throughout the country.
Weber has written three and illustrated 12 children’s books, encouraging future generations of ranchers by depicting ranch life and the special bond between cattlemen and their herd. In 2023, she opened The Studio, a storefront featuring the work of up-andcoming Western artists in Lake Benton, MN.
Watch for her artwork, ranch work and writing on social media or plan your trip to The Studio this fall for the 2024 Unveiling Gala & Print Release.
