These flush sisters are two of the best that KB Cattle Company has had to offer. While they differ slightly in their kind, both excel in their own way. They offer a combination of flawless phenotype, impeccable structure and proven pedigree that is hard to find. The dam of Lots 1 and 2, J&J Queen 613, was selected by KB from the 2010 J&J Dispersion, where she and her three progeny sold for $29,900 to average an impressive $7,475. Her dam, Queenie 9206, was the foundation of the J&J herd. The Queen Family accounted for more than $68,000 of the sale gross in the May 2010 J&J Dispersion and included the $22,750 J&J Queen 414, J&J Queen 9064, sold for $11,250, and J&J Queen 9044, sold for $11,500 to Fred Shultz, Perkins, OK, to name a few. Since joining the KB herd, 613 has had quite an impact. In the Fall 2012 sale, the Lot 4 feature and high-selling Angus heifer was a maternal sister to Lots 1 and 2. She has been a many-time champion for Cale Hinrichsen in Kansas, while another sister that sold to California has been a many-time breed or division champion on the West coast.

Darcee is out of the same great cow that raised last year’s sale highlight and many-time champion that sold to Myka Blissard. Just like her pedigree and picture show, this heifer has things going all her way. She has really nice feet and legs and gets out and covers the ground with ease. When parked on the side view, Darcee is very angular and feminine fronted along with being super deep bodied and very straight in her lines. Travis and Beth think this featured Percentage Chi heifer has a great chance to win banners.

Shakira is built in a way that will not only please judges from a breeding cattle background but also judges from the club calf industry as well. She is extremely big boned and wide based with an abundance of rib shape. We love the way she ties all of these power traits together in such a pretty, feminine way. As an added bonus, this heifer is extremely long and soft haired also. If you are looking for a really nice Charolais show heifer or donor cow, Shakira is one you will want to see on sale day.

His first calves to hit the show ring have already been winning at State Fairs and Junior Nationals. The female offered here clearly exemplifies the kind of cattle that Firestorm is siring. Red Velvet is put together the way we like them. When you evaluate her from the ground up, she is very good footed with soft pasterns that make her travel great around the ring. She is also very nice patterned with good spring of rib and ties in nice through her shoulders and into her front end. She is out of a very nice Dream On donor cow that is doing big things in the Standridge herd. Red Velvet would be great in the hands of a first year showman. She is the first calf broke by our four year old, Bret. Big time donor potential as well!

Chi x Angus

This June prospect sets the bar for a high quality show heifer. One look at her and the words “smooth and soft” come to mind. She is equally easy to look at standing still or on the move. The Eye Candy heifers have always been competitive, and Eatin Candy should continue that trend. Eatin Candy has great hair and a calm, quiet disposition. She would be good for a young or first year showman.

Autumn is a good looking daughter of I-80. This May show heifer prospect is really bold sprung in her rib shape along with being very long and clean up through her front end. She is also extra level from hooks to pins and great when you put her on the move. Don’t overlook this one!

The sire of Lots 64 and 65, I-80, has made a big splash on the show cattle scene. The I-80s have been winning shows right and left. We feel like this heifer has that kind of potential. She is really sound, beautiful fronted and very nice patterned. Daylight also has a great attitude.
