VALET PARKING 6008 For guests at the Island Grand, the valet staff will be happy to park your vehicle for you and have it waiting for you under the porte cochere at the main entrance. There is a fee for this service. WAKE-UP SERVICE
SAFETY & SECURITY Inside Your Guest Room or Suite
• Keep the dead bolt locked when inside your room or suite. • Do not allow strangers into your guest room or suite. If someone’s identity seems suspicious, dial 0 and/or report them to Security and Resort Management. • Never leave your children unattended. Familiarize them with their new surroundings and other safety procedures. Be sure they know your room number and location. • Make sure to lock your vehicle and take all valuable items inside with you and/or store them out of sight in your trunk. The resort is a “Park at Your Own Risk” property. • Do not leave money or valuables in your room. For your additional security, use your In-Room Safe or safety deposit boxes located at the Concierge desk. Key Cards • Keep track of your key card(s) by keeping them with you at all times. Do not give your key card to others. • Return your key card to the Front Desk at check-out or drop it in any return box located at the elevator landings. On and Off the Property • Never leave your wallet, keys, purse, or other valuables unattended while at the pool and beach cabanas. • Ask our staff for the most direct driving directions when preparing to travel to attractions.

• If you see any activity that appears suspicious, please dial 0 and/or report it to Security and Resort Management. • Always be aware of your surroundings. Pay attention to where you walk or park and make note of the time of day. Fire and Emergency Exits You will find a floorplan showing the closest emergency exit on the inside of your room door. Please read these instructions carefully. The emergency exits have clearly marked signs. The hotel is also fitted with modern smoke detection and sprinkler systems. For your added protection, please follow these procedures in the event of a fire: • If possible, close the windows and doors around the fire area to keep the fire from spreading. • Immediately report the situation by dialing ‘0’ (the Operator). • Take your room key when exiting the room. • Before leaving your room, test the door for heat. If it is cool, open carefully and look for smoke. • If the hall is smoke-free, exit through the stairwell to the street. Do not use the elevator under any circumstances. If there is thick smoke in the hallways, close the door quickly and remain in your room. • Stuff all door cracks and vents with wet clothes, sheets, blankets and towels. • Fill the bathtubs with water and have wastebaskets nearby for carrying water. Phone your location to the Operator and try to stay calm while waiting for assistance.

DIVING From wreck diving to freshwater springs, there are some outstanding snorkeling opportunities and dive sites waiting for you. The area is also world famous for spearfishing, with an abundance of big game such as hogfish, a variety of snapper, grouper, jack, amberjack and cobia. OFFSHORE SCUBA DIVING One of the most extensive, well-maintained artificial reef systems is located in this area of Florida’s Gulf Coast, providing ideal areas for recreational diving and fishing. Natural limestone ledges are also off shore with depths of 35 to 60 feet. CERTIFICATION If you’re not dive certified, private or group classes can be arranged for open water scuba certification for anyone over 10 years of age. A certification card (c-card) is required by dive shops and operators for air tank refills and participation in dive excursions.
