SiFu What is Abaya

 Bismillah.. Thats the common question people will ask me after i introduce myself as an ABAYA EXPERT.

 In Malaysia the word ‘abaya’ is newly become a trend in fashion industry. As Malaysian we are more familiar with ‘Jubah Muslimah’ compare to ‘Abaya’ but actually both words bring the same definition for me which are clothes that can cover Muslimah Aurah. I hope people from Linguistic area will not sue me.

ď ś By definition of the word abaya it means a simple, loose over-garment worn by some women in parts of the Islamic world including in North Africa and the Arabian Peninsula. Abaya usually was presented as a black garment as in picture.

It has 4 main cutting, the difference is depend on the width of bottom abaya. 1. Normal Cut: 50-60 inch 2. A-Cut: 70 inch 3. Princess Cut: 80 inch 4. Umbrella Cut: 90- 120 inch
