- ways to make DOUBLE the difference this Spring!

Between 8th March and 7th June 2021 all donations to Traidcraft Exchange’s Regenerators appeal will be DOUBLED, thanks to the UK government. And with lockdowns easing, and things looking brighter, there’s never been a better time to get involved!

From an inspiring video, to a PowerPoint presentation, photos, a press release and case studies, we’ve got everything you need to get involved and make DOUBLE the difference to those on the frontline of the climate crisis here: Regenerators Appeal Resources — Traidcraft Exchange It’s not just donations directly to the appeal which can be doubled – thanks to the UK government, mail order top up donations made at Traidcraft plc, charity gift cards, raffle tickets, and funds raised by sponsored or community events like a Big Brew Easter can all be doubled between 8th March and 7th June 2021.

Big Brew - Easter

Whilst your Big Brew might look a little different this year, due to coronavirus restrictions, there are so many ways to hold an alternative event!

Below is Margaret and Richard’s inspirational story about how they went the extra mile and held a Big Brew Easter to make double the difference in these difficult times.

Once people signed up, volunteers baked 10 cakes, and a selection of slices was packed into small boxes, sourced from a cake decorating company. Teabags (sourced from Traidcraft plc, naturally) were also included, along with a quiz answer sheet reminding people to donate to the Regenerators appeal between 8th March and 7th June 2021. Four days before the event, an email was sent to participants with details of their cake-box delivery, instructions on how to join the Big Brew quiz and how to donate using Just Giving. The day before the event, the beautifully boxed cakes were delivered on foot and by bike to participants. The event was delivered virtually using Trinity church’s Zoom ‘space’. It included a good old social catch up, quiz delivery in break out rooms, and an answer and chat session at the end. Richard and Margaret devised their own Big Brew quiz – on the themes of cake and tea - from freepubquiz.co.uk. Margaret says, ‘People just really enjoyed the chance to get together in person, and everyone was so generous’. Special recognition and thanks go to Trinity Church, Lower Earley near Reading this month, for their generosity in supporting a suitably sociallydistanced Big Brew! The event raised an incredible £450 for Traidcraft Exchange’s Regenerators appeal. Thank you Margaret and Richard.

Tree-mendous news!

This Spring, we’re launching a tree planting initiative that will work alongside our groundbreaking Regenerators appeal in Tanzania.

We need your help to fund the planting of thousands of fruit trees across 632 acres of land – the trees will not only regenerate the land but will provide a livelihood for families in the Rufiji area of Tanzania. Take part as an individual or as part of your church or community group - and the difference you make will be multiplied: • For every £50 you raise - we will support the Regenerators to plant an acre of fruit trees in Tanzania. • Between March 8th and June 7th the UK government will double your donation to help the most vulnerable stand strong in the face of climate change.

Calling all green-fingered supporters!

We also invite you to stand in solidarity with the Regenerators and plant trees in your own local communities and regenerate the environment.

On May 17th you’ll be able to hold an outdoor event for up to 30 people. What better way reunite with friends than to hold a tree-planting event to help raise money and change even more lives. For more info visit:
