The Injustice Advent Calendar is back!

Following a roaring success the past two years we are thrilled to be once again launching our Injustice Advent Calendar! Our calendar gives 24 opportunities to make the world a better place over Advent by offering a new action to take part in each day of December. We are teaming up with 20 fantastic charities so you can support causes close to your heart, whether it is ending the stigma around homelessness or protecting endangered orangutans. The last two years have been exhausting, and an onslaught of negative news has made it difficult to feel hopeful about the future. It can feel overwhelming to try to make positive change in a world with so many problems, so we are here to bring you the chance to make the world a little better every morning. Here is what we promise: • A new action each day of Advent • It is always FREE to take part • Every action is complete in less than 5 minutes Whether you are signing a petition or watching a 2-minute video, the Injustice Advent Calendar is packed full of opportunities to make quick but meaningful change.

Hope in dark times this Christmas

Sankar Mondal and Sankari Mondal

Climate change has been in the headlines more than ever before, but sometimes the news misses the people who live on the front lines of the climate crisis.

Sankar Mondal and his family live in Southern Bangladesh and feel the effects of climate change every day. Rising temperatures are increasing soil salinity, which has limited paddy cultivation and affected their cattle. Changing rainfall patterns are threatening crops, and they face severe cyclones which destroy roads and communication networks.

The impacts of climate change are devastating, and the threat of COVID-19 has made life even harder. However, in these dark times, there is still hope. For Sankar and his community, a new approach to farming is paving the way to a more stable future. Sankar has joined a community group, and in his words: If we are together standing side by side, we are able to manage many problems. We can help each other by sharing our knowledge and we can deal better with any danger when we in a group.

This group is also sharing their savings to protect themselves from high interest money lenders, and against future crises. Fighting back against climate change requires we all join together. Will you stand with communities like Sankar’s and create hope for the future this Christmas??
