to be one of the best students of her Class both for her analytic capacities and her ability to apply innovative solutions to her architectural studios’ work. Ms Ho impressed me as a student for her excellent fluency in spoken and written English, her smart skills on research and project design activities and for this I’ve accepted her among others to develop a thesis degree project research titled “Self-built school village for Burmese refugee children - a project in Mae La camp, Thailand” under my supervision. Ms Trang Ho discussed her detailed final project on April 2013, presenting it with success to the Politecnico di Milano Master in Architecture Final Jury. So, I think Ms Ho is the perfect candidate to your professional position and that it fits well her personality, taking count the attitudes she’s always demonstrated in studying and practicing architecture. Ms Trang Ho is a well promising architect, with a wide background of cultural and professional interests, and her application deserves any kind of support.

04 Segrate - Linate area 2010_M.Arch Urban Planning Location: Segrate, Linate, Milan, Italy Program: Urban planning Individual work Situated at the eastern gate of Milan, the area Segrate and Linate have good condition to become the new edge city. The infrastructure here is in good situation with airport - station and truck way go together. The problem is the way to transfer commodity between railway - truck way and airport. Another problem of the city is the separation between the community in Segrate - the lack of city center where should be the new landmark of the edge city.
Key Project 1 - Station Square The complex building will connect Segrate and Linate. At the same time it will be the main station for the eastern area of Milan. The squares with the large parking area could be the new landmark for the new city. Key Project 2 - Linate Business District This project stays along the road connected station and airport. The Metro line M4 will stop at the center square of the area
Segrate Business District. The business district of Segrate stays around the square of the train station - could be easily accessed from the station and metro way M4 Key Project 3 - Segrate new city and central park. The important point of new city centre of Segrate is two high buildings with the big square opens directly to Segrate central park.
