"Prez Sez" AHHHHH SUMMER! Ancaster British Car Flea Market is in the books for another year, and what a great year it was too. The weather co-operated, the crowds turned out and the new facilities were terrific. A huge vote of thanks is due to the organizers and volunteers from both our Club and the British Car Club for a job well done. The final "formal" tech session of the year was held in May at Jule Enterprises and was well attended. Thanks to Martin & his crew for hosting this. Although it's still a few weeks until the official start of summer the weather recently has been most summer like with clear skies and warm temperatures. Evenings and weekends are packed with car shows and cruise nights to suit all tastes, and it makes it difficult to find time for all that we would like to do. We have had some of the best drives in a long time this month and we are hoping for it to continue. Conclave in Galena Il. is fast approaching and all indications are that it will be a great event. I am heading out there with my son Tom and we are hoping that the summer weather will continue. We get back from there on Friday night, late, and then Levina and I head out with a group of eleven for a tour of the east coast on Sunday. What a great life!! I am going with the belief that this ain't no dress rehearsal, so better make the most of it. Many of you will have your cars on the road by now and hopefully you are enjoying this time of year as much as we are. Make sure to include as many of our Club events in your schedule as possible, especially the upcoming wine tour, always a popular outing with a new twist this year and be sure to include Fall Wind Up on your calendar.
GET INTO YOUR HEALEY AND SEE WHAT YOU GET OUT OF IT!!

Well as I said previously - our BJ8- 'Misty Blue' has been seriously ailing this Spring which resulted in MAJOR repairs to whole engine - hopefully, now that we have the engine back in the car (last Wednesday) this poor LBC after a rough few months, will be ready for her Maritime Tour in July. On the bright side - now that most everything has been replaced/repainted etc. we will hope no more problems will arise, however as we have learned in the past never say never. On a lighter note - do check out page 5 for our up-coming Wine Tour and BBQ supper - a little different twist this year.

CO-CHAIR FLEA MARKET The Ancaster Flea Market committee has recognized the need to increase the size of the administrative team. This decision was made to facilitate the distribution of duties and ensure that we have coverage should the need arise. In short this means we need a new person from the Austin-Healey club to join the team. We are looking for some one who will be prepared to donate one day a year to the club plus 3 to 4 planning meetings. Duties include planning activities and overseeing operations on the day of the event. At present these duties are divided between the 2 club chairmen, the intention is to make this a 4-person group. The move to the new fairgrounds is now complete. We have procedures in place; we now need 'captains' to see things through. 2010 was successful, but it highlighted that so much responsibility was on so few people that the event could be put in jeopardy by a single absence. The flea market is vital to the continued success of the AHCSO. We need additional help. We need you to give it serious consideration. Martyn Ridley ANCSO Ancaster Flea Market Chairman

NEWS & INFORMATION FOR SALE
For sale, 3/4 restored Midget, and very rough Bugeye. This is from a large lot of parts I bought at auction. Lots of goodies for the Midget and it would be an easy car to finish if you have done one before. Most of bodywork done. There is a box of NOS, and a garage full of parts. I'd like to see all of it gone. Will only go as a package unless a very good trade came along. 1989 and 1990 Spitfries. Both running and the one car has overdrive. The tops like all of them has shrunken. Dirty from storage. One car just needs a drivers forward floor to make it roadworthy. A good father / son project or an easy first project for someone wanting a Spifire. Electronic Crane Ignition and rare header. Could readily be a driving pair. Reasonable offers on the pair. I would like to see it all gone by the end of June. Please E mail at address below to arrange viewing. seven7@cogeco.ca Dick Green, Editor Bluewater Banter

JULY PUB NIGHT GUEST Many of us were very fortunate, that when we were working we got "benefits" through a group plan that our employer had at a low rate. When we retired or left their employment these benefits were lost. There could be cases where some of our members never had these benefits from day one. Some people believe that once you get to 65 the social plans of the government health plan looks after you.......sorry to burst your balloon. Dental is one area, YOU is on your own, fillings cleaning, xray etc can put a hefty bite into your wallet. The list goes on! So what if we were offered a "group benefit plan" for the members of AHCSO. At this pub night June 09 a representative has agreed to come and hopefully answer your questions about having a plan for our members. So please come with your thoughts. Ian Allison
