SITE ATTRIBUTES GETTING STAFF TO THE OFFICE PUBLIC TRANSPORT Located on the North Island Main Trunk Railway and served by excellent bus routes on Mt. Wellington Highway and Carbine Road, Sylvia Park is a major hub for public and private transport. The Sylvia Park Railway Station was opened in 2007 and is now the 5th busiest station in the Auckland network, providing prompt access to the CBD and Auckland’s southern suburbs. Sylvia Park is a key transport hub and interchange in the Auckland Manukau Eastern Transport Initiative (AMETI) project. This project sees the existing bus interchange upgraded and bus service levels / frequency increase. Auckland Transport is anticipating starting on site in 2015. An onsite bus interchange provides frequent bus linkages to the surrounding suburbs and central city.

THE PRECINCTS The scale of the site has seen the design evolve on a precinct basis, with each sub precinct having a key element or anchor.

Wellington Highway. The buildings will benefit from the significant exposure to the adjacent arterial roads, the public transport options conveniently at hand and the amenity offered by the retail precincts located alongside.

THE RETAIL PRECINCTS With four anchor tenants and approximately 200 specialty tenants, Sylvia Park Shopping Centre is New Zealand’s widest retail offering. The southern end of the main mall is anchored by The Warehouse and a full service Countdown supermarket. The heart of the retail centre is the fashion precinct. An accumulation of the strongest fashion brands in the New Zealand market creates a strong point of difference. The “Cone” is the heart of the leisure and entertainment precinct with a large format Whitcoulls bookstore and 10 screen Hoyts cinema complex complemented with family restaurants and bars. The northern retail precinct is under-pinned by a PAK’nSAVE supermarket and a strong mini-major offer providing a diversity of activity and use.

STAFF CAR PARKING Secure carparking is available on a monthly basis for staff members in the Sylvia Park decked carparking facility. (700 dedicated spaces in 4 locations with different options available to suit staff)

Existing Sylvia Park security measures include:

Various pedestrian routes are available to access the carpark. The routes are a combination of open air and enclosed pathways but all feature a high degree of security. (Security staff are available to escort staff if required)

• Passive public surveillance during normal centre trading hours – being 0900 to 1900 hrs Monday to Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday and 0900 to 2100 hrs Thursday and Friday. (Pak’nSave is open till 2300 hrs throughout the week along with the Dining Lane and the Cinemas). Cinemas typically open until 0200 hrs on Fridays and Saturdays.

• 95 CCTV cameras throughout the site • 3-5 (at peak times) security staff on site during normal shop trading hours. This includes external patrols.

• Dedicated on site police presence. (typically 6 officers use it as their base Monday – Friday only)
