Top School in Sustainability Which is the most sustainable primary school in Victoria? That’s right, our very own Epping Views Primary School (EVPS). In November last year, EVPS officially became the most sustainable school in the state by winning an amazing 4 (out of 11) awards at the 2012 ResourceSmart School awards.
Teacher of the Year winner, Jan Hare said, “what’s really rewarding is seeing the kids adopting these practices outside school hours and taking them home”.

Hello and welcome to the first edition of Village News for 2013, the summer edition. The holidays are over, the kids are back to school and the working year is underway. So now that you are settled, it’s the perfect time to update you on what’s happening in the area.
This summer, we decided not to take a break and press on with the business of building communities, and to prove it, here’s the latest development update:
In this edition we have a progress update on the Family and Children’s Services Centre, we celebrate the recent success of Epping Views Primary School and update you with what’s happening at our other estates. We’ve also got a great promotion for Lyndarum residents that we’re excited to tell you about. Community kindergarten toddling along We have some great news to announce for young families. The much talked about Family and Children’s Services Centre is on track and will open in plenty of time for the 2014 kindergarten year.

Either way the Creeds Farm Community Garden group might just be the place for you. The group is made up entirely by volunteers and meet on the final Sunday of each month to exchange skills, ideas and tips about all things gardening. It is great opportunity to get involved with the local community, make some new friends and get that garden of yours looking glorious!
Feeling crafty? Here’s your chance to marvel, encourage, suggest and create Do you have an interest in mosaics, beading, felt-making, hand-sewing, leatherwork, box-making or any other manner of craft work? Well, maybe the monthly women’s Craft Circle is the gathering for you. It’s free, on the condition that you bring a plate of something delectable to share amongst the group.
Apart providing a chance to finish up some of those ongoing projects, it is also a great place to escape with other like-minded women. If you’d like to be placed on the mailing list so you can hear about the next meeting, please email fladdle@gmail.com
