with Antoine Meo
Without confidence, balance and technique, riding over rocks can be a bit like being dragged over coals – not something you’d do voluntarily. But once mastered, the skill will allow you to ride terrain you never thought possible.
with David Knight
No skill garners more respect or braggadocio than the ability to climb or descend the snottiest, gnarliest hill. Three-time world enduro champ David Knight, who’s known for speed on the steepest of inclines, shows us how.
with Luke George
Supercross is the most daunting form of dirt bike riding, but also arguably the most spectacular. It comes with its own skill-set, so motocross champ Luke George explains the different approaches to berms, triples, whoops and rythm sections.

ccording to David Knight, hills are “like straights, but on an angle.” Essentially, there’s nothing to get too worried about. But while it’s easy for someone of his calibre to joke about riding hills, for many they can be more than a little daunting – especially for those new to the off-road game or when the clock starts ticking. With a bulging trophy cabinet, Knighter’s been either the first or the fastest to the top of more than
his fair share of hills over the years – some so steep riding up them would seem all but impossible. With a childhood spent riding trials and his recent years focused on motocross, DK boasts an enviable skill set that allows him to mix throttle control with balance and aggression. Over the next few pages, the big man explains all about how to best approach, attack and deal with hills. According to Knight, your eyes will be your most important tools…
DAVID KNIGHT There’s not much that hasn’t already been said about David Knight, the newly crowned ’10 Enduro 3 world champion. Now a three-time EWC title winner and two-time US GNCC champion, the burly Manxman is arguably the most successful enduro rider of all time. Thanks to an overall ISDE win, an A4DE victory and Indoor Enduro World Cup and US Endurocross championship victories – not forgetting his Erzberg and numerous other extreme enduro wins – he’s a rider that’s won pretty much all he’s set out to win.
