TE Connectivity’s high voltage link boxes

HVLB provide a sealed and dry environment for high voltage cable sheath earthing connection. They reduce voltages and circulating currents.

TE offers three types of link boxes with different number of entries to bond the cable sheath to the ground:

• SVL: cable sheath earthed via a Sheath Voltage Limiter (SVL)

• GND: cable sheath earthed direct to the ground without a SVL

• CRO: cable sheaths are crossbonded

To get an easy access to the cable sheath for inspections, TE developed a reliable gasket-lid-system, which is tighter against water and dust. The lid system is equipped with a proof device for padlocks to prevent unauthorized access.

A well-arranged configuration ensures a higher reliability. Homogeneous distances between the electrical path, trustworthy electrical connections and a specially developed short-circuit-yoke allow a better impulse-voltage and short-circuit withstand. For safety in an unexpected case, our box is tested to absorb the power of an internal arc with 25 kA for 0.1 sec.

UNDERGROUND PIT RANGE

EXTENDED

On NZ's power system it is recommended that the frequency range of a detector includes 50Hz. Our HVD range of capacitive high voltage detectors works on both 50Hz and 60Hz systems.

2XXHVD|CAPACITIVE HIGH VOLTAGE DETECTOR

These detectors have been designed to meet the latest IEC standards. By pressing the TEST/ARMING button the detector is tested, armed, and ready to use. These detectors are also equipped with a Self-Starting function and will automatically activate when a high voltage is applied, however it recommended that the TEST/ARMING button is used to test and arm the voltage detector prior to using. Models are intended for use on sinusoidal high voltage systems covering voltages from 11kV to 132kV with a frequency range of 50/60Hz.

ECOBlock has been tested by IRL using NZ made concrete poles and proven to work as an integral part of correct pole installation.

When our customers had health and safety concerns about using concrete blocks we decided to do something about it. Our solution is ECOBlock, a strong, lightweight NZ made alternative to traditional concrete pole blocks. Quality material is key - you can't just use any plastic - so we make ours out of high quality recycled and recyclable HDPE. Tested for integrity, ECOBlock won't creep over time like other plastics can. Let's keep plastic out of landfills as well as keep staff safe.

ECOBlock has been tested as an integral part of correct pole installation and is widely used across the country.
