My Cycling Journey  Found a cycling group ‐Oshawa Cycling Club experienced     

cyclists taught me a lot!! Quickly learned about opportunities in cycling such as day trips, organized charity rides and long distance tours Started to organize tours for small groups visiting areas of Ontario, England, Quebec and the US Became President of the Oshawa Cycling Club Experienced many organized tours such as GOBA (Great Ohio Bicycle adventure)and other similar tours With encouragement began Scenic Cycle Tours

Started a Rookie Ride Tuesday evening rides 1st year 15‐20 riders

small groups based on abilities with experienced ride leaders •We taught safe

With a passion for cycle touring begins “Scenic Cycle tours”  Fully supported tours of southern Ontario , Quebec      

and feature location Cycle along paved roads/paths Small riding groups of 20 or less Mechanical/vehicle support Both indoor accommodations and camping tours Escorted by knowledgeable ride leaders We stop at bakeries along the way!! “stop and smell the roses” it is more then riding a bike it is a unique experience


What are touring cyclists looking for?

 To be welcomed!!  To ride in scenic areas with quiet safe country roads or    

paths, we love to ride by the water! To eat in restaurants, bakeries, ice cream parlours along the days journey and at the end of our day, along with some cold drinks “eat to ride” or “ride to eat”? To have a safe place to park our bikes We like unique experiences along the way through museums, festivals, areas of historic interest, feel the culture of the people Assorted types of overnight experiences from deluxe B&B to budget motels, college dorms to camping
