Lakitira Beach Resort
Every moment matters Back in 1974 two friends came together and signed up 500 customers for ski holidays with a house-party atmosphere. Following their success Mark Warner was born and branched out into beach activity holidays. In the 80’s we introduced our now famous childcare programme. Fast forward 43 years, 50,000 guests and Mark Warner has now grown into one of the most highly regarded independent tour operators in the UK. The Mark Warner customer remains at the heart of everything we do. Our idyllic Mediterranean beach resorts with superb tennis, watersports and cycling facilities are real crowd pleasers but so is the freedom to simply unwind by the pool. We set very high standards and it is the infectious energy, enthusiasm and attention to detail of the Mark Warner team that has been at the core of our summer holidays. We passionately believe that your holiday is made up of hundreds of special moments and that every single moment matters. So, take a moment and start planning your Mark Warner holiday. We look forward to welcoming you to our beach resorts this summer.

Snuggle club (4 months to 5 years) Babies and children can be dropped at the children’s club for quiet time whilst being supervised by our caring nannies. Essentially a ‘sleepover’ service, little ones 3 years and under must be settled by parents. Those a little older will have quiet time watching a movie or reading a book before they cosy down into their snuggle sacs for some sleep time. Available 7 days a week from 7.30pm to 10.30pm for all babies and children regardless to their daytime care.
Movie club (6 to 9 years) We offer a supervised, age appropriate movie club 7 days a week from 7.30pm to 10.30pm (9.30pm at San Lucianu) for all children regardless to their daytime care.
Kidz evening entertainment (10 to 13 years) Children can dine with their families or in peak season join the Kidz club dinner followed by a supervised evening entertainment programme until 9.30pm. Available 6 days a week for children booked into Kidz club.
Indy social club (14 to 17 years) Teens dine with their families or in peak season join their Indy dinner followed by team challenges or floodlit sports until 10.30pm. Available 6 days a week for teenagers booked into Indy club.
When holidaying with children in hotter climates we would strongly advise that children always have plenty of sun lotion applied, drink lots of water and wear a UV T-shirt or rash vest and hat at all times.
Illness If your child becomes ill, you will be expected to take over his/her care in order to reduce the risk of transmitting any illness. Your child must be clear of illness before going back into the Children’s Club and re-admission is at the discretion of the Childcare Manager.
Informal supervision Please note that we cannot allow informal supervision in our crèches by nannies/carers who are not employed by Mark Warner as this can affect the operation of the Clubs and may lead to problems of accountability and legal responsibility.
Children’s equipment In our resorts which offer Baby or Toddler Clubs we supply travel cots, steam sterilisers, nappy changing facilities, baby baths and potties. Nappies, processed foods and powdered milk can all be purchased locally but if your child is used to a particular brand, we suggest you bring your own supplies. Please bring a small rucksack (labelled with your child’s name) for your child’s belongings during the day containing all the items from our checklist.
Babysitting Extra babysitting can be arranged in resort through the Childcare Manager at additional cost. Please note that babysitters are in high demand, and whilst every effort is made to accommodate requests, this service is subject to staff availability and cannot be guaranteed. Please give at least 24 hours’ notice if you require this.
Children’s beds Children 2 years of age and over will automatically be allocated a bed. If you wish to have a bed side barrier for your child’s bed, please contact our After Sales team.
Parents’ kitchen A parents’ kitchen or facility is provided in Lemnos, Lakitira, Perdepera and San Lucianu Beach Resorts, where you will find a fridge, kettle, microwave, sterilisers and a supply of UHT whole milk. At Levante Beach Resort we provide bottle sterilisers and UHT milk in your room on request. Please let our Reservations team know at time of booking if you require these items.
Children’s mealtimes We know all about children’s appetites and the need for a healthy balanced diet. With this in mind we ensure appropriate dishes are on offer to suit their taste at every meal. There is a children’s high tea sitting each evening for babies and children 4 months to 9 years.

Travel Information Flight and transfer details
Scheduled and regional flights
Connecting flights
As our travel arrangements are made many months in advance, the flight details shown here, on the accommodation pages and on our website are provisional flight arrangements and approximate flying and transfer times. All flight timings are provisional and may change up to the point of departure. Your flight numbers and timings will be confirmed when e- tickets are issued approximately 7 – 10 days before departure. The airline or likely airline which will operate your flight will be advised at the time of booking. Where we can only advise you of the likely airline at the time of booking, we will confirm this as soon as we are in a position to do so. Bookings are not accepted on the basis that they are conditional on particular flight timings or carriers and a change of flight timing or airline does not entitle you to change or cancel your holiday unless otherwise stated in our Booking Conditions. On busy dates, it may be necessary to buy in extra seats which may be with different airlines and operate at different times to those shown in our brochure or on our website. Supplements may be payable for these flights. As transfers for these extra flights will often be operated in conjunction with our usual flights, there may be a short additional waiting time at the airport.
In addition to our contracted flights as listed, we can request further seats, subject to availability, from many airports. Price supplements for these will be payable. Please enquire at the time of booking and full details will be given to you. Scheduled international flights may operate at different times to our charter flights and separate transfers may then need to be arranged and paid for. If you miss your outbound scheduled flight, you must contact us or notify the airline directly to ensure your homeward flight is not affected.
Please note that flight timings given at the time of booking are provisional and subject to change. Bookings are not accepted on the basis that they are conditional on particular flight timings. Guests with onward connections should allow plenty of time in the event of a schedule change or flight delay. We strongly recommend that tickets for onward connections are booked on a fully flexible basis to accommodate any changes or delays. If travelling with British Airways you cannnot check bags all the way through to final destination.
Infants
Check-in and security
Please note that those under 2 years of age on the date of return travel to the UK are not allocated a seat on the aircraft and will need to sit on a parent’s knee. The cabin crew will be happy to heat up food you have brought with you. It may be possible on some of our charter flights on certain dates to purchase a seat for infants. For details, please ask our Reservations staff. Scheduled airlines may charge for infants of which we will advise you at the time of booking, where applicable.
Check-in desks are opened at least two and a half hours before the scheduled departure time. As passengers who attempt to check-in after the last checkin time will not be allowed to do so and queues for check-in can be lengthy, we would ask you to arrive at the checkin desk with plenty of time and we recommend not less than two hours prior to the scheduled departure time. You should do so even if you have checked in online (where available) if you have hold luggage. Please also allow plenty of time to pass through security as this process can be slow. You will generally not be allowed to board the aircraft if you arrive at the gate after this has closed.

Travel details and e-tickets E-tickets will be sent to you approximately 7 – 10 days before the start of your holiday. We must have an up to date email address for your booking. Please check your documents carefully as soon as you receive them as flight details can sometimes change from those published in the brochure or detailed on your confirmation invoice.
Discover more at markwarner.co.uk
Pregnancy Ladies who are more than 33 weeks pregnant on their return date cannot travel on our charter flights. After the 28th week of pregnancy, a medical certificate confirming ‘fitness to fly’
is required which must confirm the expected date of birth. This must be issued as close to your departure date from the UK as possible. Scheduled airlines have their own policies on pregnancy which will apply. Please check your insurance policy for any restrictions on cover provided.
Airport representatives For our charter flights, our own Mark Warner representative will be on hand at your departure airport to assist you to get away smoothly. Details of our UK representatives can be found online. When you arrive at your destination airport, our representative will be waiting to welcome you after you’ve come through Customs and escort you to your transfer coach.
Baggage allowance At the time of going to print, baggage allowances per person are as follows:-
British Airways 23kg hold luggage which must be carried in 1 bag. Infants have a 23kg hold luggage allowance.
Germania 20kg hold luggage which can be carried in more than 1 bag. Infants have a 10kg hold luggage allowance.
Monarch 20kg hold luggage which must be carried in 1 bag. Infants have a 10kg hold luggage allowance. Additional bags can be booked directly with Monarch within 28 days of departure on www.monarch.co.uk
Details of your baggage allowance will be printed on your e-tickets. Size restrictions may apply in addition to weight restrictions. Even if you combine your total luggage allowance for your family / group, there is a weight restriction of a maximum 32kg per item of hold baggage. If you go over this limit, you may be required to split your bags at check-in. One piece of hand luggage is allowed within the size restrictions of 55x40x25cm and must fit in an overhead locker. If you wish to prebook and pay for luggage in excess of these limits or any sporting items such as a windsurfer, water ski or golf bags, please contact our Flight Operations department. Please note these items must usually be booked onto the aircraft in advance and there is a charge levied by all airlines.
Catering All flights operate a “buy on board” service with a choice of hot and cold beverages, snacks and light meals for you to purchase.
Travel delays In the event of a delay departing from your UK airport, we do not provide refreshments, meals or accommodation. However, in certain circumstances, the airline may be required to provide assistance and their airport representatives will be able to advise. For delays on the return journey, we endeavour to arrange for the provision of assistance on the following basis: for a delay of more than 3 hours, light refreshments; for a delay of over 4 hours a meal at the appropriate time and for overnight delays, hotel accommodation and meals as appropriate. The provision of these facilities is generally the responsibility of the airline under the Denied Boarding Regulations (see our Booking Conditions) and cannot be guaranteed as circumstances often
change. Where any arrangements are to be provided by Mark Warner (rather than the airline), our representative’s decision is final. Transfer coaches will occasionally be meeting more than one flight and any delay in flights arriving can cause a delay in the coach departing from the airport. Delays of more than 12 hours on either the outward or homeward journey may be covered by your personal travel insurance policy.
Own transport For travellers making their own way to resorts, we may offer a discount on the travel inclusive holiday cost, depending on the date and destination. This discount is only applicable to holidays sold at full brochure price and will only be given if we are advised at the time of booking that you do not require our flight or transfers and cannot be added at a later date. If a coach transfer is required from the overseas airport where you have made your own flight arrangements, there will be a charge for this (subject to space being available). You must request this at the time of booking.
Passports & visa requirements For holders of British or EU citizen passports, no visa is required for visiting any of the Mediterranean countries featured in this brochure. Citizens of other countries should consult their embassy or consulate for any passport and visa requirements. Contact our Reservations department if you have any queries. For British Citizens, adults require a ten year British passport for all the countries we operate to and children a five year British passport. A British passport generally takes approximately 3 to 6 weeks to obtain but can take longer at busy times. You should allow as much time as you can. Passports can be
renewed up to 9 months prior to their expiry date with the unexpired time being added to the new passport. If you are 16 or over and haven’t yet got a passport, you should apply for one at least 6 weeks before your holiday. The UK Passport Service has to confirm your identity before issuing your first passport and will ask you to attend an interview in order to do this. Full details are available by either telephoning the Passport Office on 0300 222 0000 or visiting their website www.gov.uk/browse/abroad If you are not a British citizen or hold a non British passport, you must check passport and visa requirements with the embassy or consulate of the country(ies) to or through which you are intending to travel. Please also check the validity of your passport, as some countries require passports to be valid for a certain length of time, which may be up to 6 months, after the end of your holiday arrangements. If you are unsure, please contact the appropriate embassy or consulate of the country you are travelling to. It is the party leader’s responsibility to ensure that all members of the party are in possession of all travel and other documents necessary for your holiday. We cannot be held responsible if guests are prevented from travelling, entering any country or re-entering the UK due to the lack of passports or visas which meet the applicable requirements. The Foreign Office publishes regularly updated travel information on its website www.gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice which you are recommended to consult before booking and in good time before departure. This includes information on passport and visa requirements.
Health It is your responsibility to ensure you are aware of all recommended vaccinations and health precautions in good time before departure. Details are available from your GP surgery or local travel clinic and from the National Travel Health Network and Centre www.nathnac.net Information on health abroad is also available on www.nhs.uk/Livewell/ Travelhealth You should ensure that vaccinations or preventative measures such as malaria tablets are taken early enough (which may be a month or more prior to departure). At the time of publishing this brochure, no vaccinations were required for visiting any of the Mediterranean countries featured in this brochure. For holidays in the EU/EEA you should obtain an EHIC (European Health Insurance Card) prior to departure from www.ehic.org.uk The EHIC may entitle you to reduced cost, sometimes free, medical treatment in public hospitals and clinics while you’re in a European Economic Area, although restrictions apply. It must be noted however that the EHIC is not a substitute for travel insurance which must be taken out before departure. If you are undergoing any form of medical treatment, we recommend that you consult your GP in good time prior to departure and ensure that you take sufficient medication and corresponding prescriptions with you where necessary. In some countries the services and drugs provided may be of a different standard to that received in the UK. Please remember to pack any vital medication in your hand luggage. Health requirements and recommendations may change and you should check the up to date position in good time before departure. For further travel information details please telephone our Flight Operations Department on 020 7361 8900.

Your Contract Please read carefully our booking conditions on pages 92 – 93 of our brochure and on our website at www.markwarner.co.uk By asking us to confirm your booking, you are liable to be regarded as having had the opportunity to do so. The booking conditions together with the information contained in this How To Book section and our Travel Information found on pages 88 – 89 of our brochure and on our website at www.markwarner.co.uk form the basis of our contract with you. A binding contract between us comes into existence when 1) we or your travel agent have received all appropriate payments at the time of booking and 2) we have verbally confirmed the booking to you or your travel agent over the telephone or, in the case of online bookings, we have despatched our confirmation invoice to you. Please note: All bookings are subject to availability.

Please note that holiday information and prices shown in our brochure and on our website may have changed by the time you come to book your holiday. Whilst every effort is made to ensure the accuracy of the brochure, website and prices at the time of publication, regrettably errors do occasionally occur. We reserve the right to make changes to and correct errors in advertised prices at any time before your holiday is confirmed. We will advise you of any error of which we are aware and of the then applicable price at the time of booking. Your chosen holiday arrangements (including the price) will be confirmed on your invoice. Please note that bookings made prior to publication of the relevant brochure may be subject to significant changes upon confirmation of the programme and publication of the brochure. Please read clause 5 of our booking conditions for more details. During the season it may be necessary on certain dates to purchase extra flights and/or coach capacity. This may result in an increase in costs as we cannot always negotiate the same favourable seasonal rates. We will, however, only pass on such increased costs to you where your booking has not been confirmed. All such extra costs will be advised to you at the time of booking. For price increases after booking, please see clause 3 of our booking conditions – Prices and surcharges.
Final Payment Please send the final payment so that we receive it no later than 12 weeks before the start of your holiday. This date will be clearly indicated on your invoice and failure to pay by this date may mean that your holiday will be cancelled and cancellation charges will apply – see clause 1 of our booking conditions.
Altered Bookings All amendments to bookings must first be requested by telephone to the After Sales Department on 033 3305 7121 (and confirmed in writing if requested by them) or by email (if you have booked direct with us) to administration@markwarner.co.uk or if you have booked through one of our authorised travel agents, through the agent. We will endeavour to assist if we can. Once we have issued
the confirmation invoice, there will be a charge of £35 per person per occasion a change is made (if the change can be made) except as set out below. Amendment may result in the recalculation of the holiday price and the loss of previously applicable discounts or other special offers if the amendment means the conditions applicable to the previous calculation or a discount or other offer are no longer met (for example, because the number travelling has fallen below the minimum required) or the basis on which the price was calculated has changed (for example, because only one person is occupying a twin or double room). Changes made within 12 weeks of departure and any change of holiday dates will be treated as a cancellation of the original arrangements by you and cancellation charges will apply, please see clauses 4 and 5 in our booking conditions for further details (note that these cancellation charges apply to all pre-booked elements of your holiday). However, if the change is to increase the number of persons booked (without any other change), no amendment fee or cancellation charges will be payable (although you will of course have to pay any increase in the total holiday cost). Subject to meeting the conditions set out in clause 4 of our booking conditions, no amendment fee or cancellation charges will apply for a name change where the holiday arrangements otherwise remain exactly as originally booked unless flight tickets have been issued. In this case, an amendment fee of £35 per name change will be payable if on charter flights. For scheduled flights, the airline may treat any change (including a name change) made after tickets have been issued as a cancellation of the original booking and impose 100% cancellation charges. Accordingly, you may have to pay the full cost of the flight(s) in question again as well as the amendment fee of £35 per person affected.
Travel Details and Tickets Your e-tickets will be sent to you approximately 7 – 10 days before the start of your holiday. For e-ticketed flights we must have an up to date email address for your booking. Please carefully check your documents upon receipt as flight timings can sometimes change from those published in the brochure, on our website or detailed on your confirmation invoice.

Advance Passenger Information System (APIS) For security reasons, most European and many other countries now require airlines to provide information about their passengers before they fly. This is known as Advance Passenger Information or API and includes full names, dates of birth, nationality, gender and passport details of all passengers but other details may also be required. The airlines set their own deadlines for receipt of this information which may be well in advance of departure. If it is not provided when required, you may be refused boarding on your flight. In this situation, full cancellation charges will apply. Accordingly, you must provide us with all information we ask you for when we ask for it. Where you make your own flight arrangements, you are responsible for providing API to the airline, if booking direct, or to your travel agent, when requested to do so. If, as a result of failure to provide information when required or the provision of inaccurate or incomplete details, you are unable to take your holiday, cancellation charges will apply as set out in our Booking Conditions.

Force Majeure Except where otherwise expressly stated in our booking conditions, we cannot accept liability or pay compensation where the performance or prompt performance of our obligations under our contract with you is prevented or affected by, or you otherwise suffer any damage, loss or expense of any nature as a result of, “force majeure” as defined in our full booking conditions. 7. Travel In accordance with EU Directive (EC) No 2111/2005, please see http:// ec.europa.eu/transport/modes/ air/safety/air-ban/index_en.htm. This contains details of airlines that are subject to an operating ban within the EU. We will advise you
of the actual carrier(s) (or, if the actual carrier(s) is not known, the likely carrier(s)) that will operate your flight(s) at the time of booking. Where we are only able to inform you of the likely carrier(s) at the time of booking, we will inform you of the identity of the actual carrier(s) as soon as we become aware of this. Any change to the operating carrier(s) after your booking has been confirmed will be notified as soon as possible. If the carrier with whom you have a confirmed reservation becomes subject to an operating ban and you cannot be offered you a suitable alternative, clause 5 will apply. The flight timings shown in our brochure, on our website and/or detailed on your confirmation invoice are for guidance only and are subject to alteration and confirmation. Latest timings will be shown on your tickets but these may still change. In the event of a delay, we or the airline will endeavour to provide the assistance referred to in our full booking conditions. The person who makes the booking must ensure that all persons travelling are in possession of all necessary travel and other documents before departure. No liability can be accepted if this is not the case. 8. Damage by and behaviour of the client You are responsible for the cost of any damage or loss caused by you during your holiday as referred to in our full booking conditions. We have the right to immediately terminate the holiday of any client whose behaviour, in our reasonable opinion or in the reasonable opinion of any other person in authority, causes or is likely to cause distress, danger or significant annoyance to other clients, employees or to any third party or damage to property. 9. Liability of Mark Warner (1) We will make sure that the contracted holiday arrangements are made, performed or provided with reasonable skill and care. You must show that reasonable skill and care has not been used if you wish to make a claim. We will only be responsible for what our employees,
agents and suppliers do or do not do if they were at the time acting within the course of their employment (for employees) or carrying out work we had asked them to do (for agents and suppliers). (2) We will not be responsible for any injury, loss or damage whatsoever which results from:- the act(s) and/or omission(s) of the person(s) affected or any member(s) of their party; or - the act(s) and/or omission(s) of a third party not connected with the provision of your holiday and which were unforeseeable or unavoidable; or - ‘force majeure’ as defined in our full booking conditions. (3) Our liability for loss of and/or damage to any luggage or personal possessions (including money) and for any other claims which do not involve death or personal injury is limited as set out in our full booking conditions. . (4) Where any claim arises from travel on any aircraft, ship or train arranged by us as part of our contract and to which any international convention or EU regulation applies, our liability (including the maximum amount of compensation, the types of claim and the circumstances in which compensation will be payable) will be limited as if we were the carrier in question. The most we will have to pay you if we are found liable to you on any basis is the most the carrier concerned would have to pay under the applicable international convention or EU regulation (for example, the Warsaw Convention as amended or unamended and the Montreal Convention for international travel by air and/or for airlines with an operating licence granted by an EU country, the EC Regulation on Air Carrier Liability No 889/2002 for national and international travel by air, EC Regulation 392/2009 on the liability of carriers of passengers by sea in the event of accidents and COTIF, the Convention on International Travel by Rail). (4) Other limitations and exclusions of liability apply as set out in our full booking conditions.
10. Airlines and other carriers When you travel with any carrier, their conditions of carriage will apply which will limit or exclude their liability to you often in accordance with the applicable international convention or EU regulation. 11. Insurance You must have travel insurance which provides cover that is suitable and adequate for your specific requirements and the activities you participate in during your holiday. Please note that most travel insurance policies do not cover activities which insurers consider to be hazardous. If you intend to participate in any activity which may be regarded as hazardous, please check the terms of the policy you intend to use and if necessary, obtain additional cover. 12. Website and brochure information and outside activities (a) Our website and brochure descriptions often refer to activities and excursions available outside the hotel / chalet which are bookable directly with the operator/centre concerned. They are not run, controlled, recommended or endorsed by us and do not form any part of your contract. We have no liability for these outside activities and excursions. (b) Where we or your hotel / chalet make any booking for you for any activity or excursion available outside the hotel, we or the hotel do so solely as booking agent. Your contract for any such activity or excursion will be with the supplier or operator of that activity or excursion. We have no liability for any such activity or excursion or for any act(s) or omission(s) of the supplier or operator or its employees or agents or any other person(s) connected with the activity or excursion. (c) Where your hotel / chalet takes a booking from you for an activity, facility or service provided by the hotel / chalet which is not advertised by us as forming part of your holiday arrangements, your contract for that activity, facility or service will be directly with the hotel / chalet and not Mark Warner. This contract will be subject to the hotel / chalet’s own
terms and conditions. We have no liability for any such activity, facility or service or for any act(s) or omission(s) of the hotel / chalet or any of its employees or agents or any other person(s) connected with the activity, service or facility.
