Discover the perfect Namibian adventure for a short visit with a 4-day mini-safari tailored to offer exceptional game viewing opportunities in the renowned Etosha National Park Immerse yourself in the unique experience of the Ongava Private Game Reserve, situated adjacent to Etosha, providing an unforgettable base for your wildlife exploration Ongava is roughly 30,000 hectares of pristine wilderness Here, you enjoy privately guided activities on the reserve and can visit Etosha during your stay. Activities available on Ongava include guided game drives, hikes on the reserve, and access to a photographic hide. Visit the Ongava Research Centre to learn more about conservation efforts that form the backbone of Namibia’s efforts to sustain and grow its wildlife populations. The itinerary includes charter flights, booked on a per-seat basis, and high-end accommodation at Ongava Lodge

ITINERARY SUMMARY

FlyNamibia Safari operates scheduled flights between Windhoek and Etosha every Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday.

Charter notes:

Luggage Restriction: Weight 20kg maximum, including hand luggage, camera equipment, etc

Luggage Dimensions: Soft duffle bag with no internal or external structure, with no retractable handle or wheels (62cm L x 30 cm H x 25 cm W)

Passenger weight: Maximum average weight per couple is 162kg

Ongava Airstrip: 45 minutes before departure

ITINERARY DAY-TO-DAY

DAY 01

Windhoek - Etosha

Transfer to Hosea Kutako International Airport to check in for the FlyNamibia Safari flight to Ongava. The flight departs HKIA at 09:40 and arrives at Ongava at 10:40. You’ll be met by a driver at the Ongava airstrip and transferred to the lodge, where the friendly staff will welcome you and help you plan your activities during your stay on the Ongava Private Game Reserve (As small charter aircraft only permit soft bags, any hard suitcases will be securely stored in Windhoek during your safari, if required)

DAY 02

Ongava Reserve

Breakfast Enjoy the day game viewing and exploring the Ongava Reserve with your guide, and relax at the lodge with views of the busy waterhole where a steady stream of various animals comes to drink Photographers have access to a photography hide Your meals will be served in the main dining area under thatch or on the dining deck under the stars.

Ongava Reserve

Breakfast Another full day of game viewing on Ongava Reserve, or drive into Etosha Park with your guide Visit the Ongava Research Centre at Anderssons @ Ongava to learn more about the cutting-edge conservation work conducted on the reserve The research focuses on wildlife and plant ecology, studying animal population sizes, interactions between species, and animal movements Ongava research strives to develop new methods to document the natural world and its processes

Ongava - Hosea Kutako Airport - Depart

Breakfast Enjoy the morning at Ongava before being transferred from the lodge to the Ongava airstrip Your flight departs at 14:50 and arrives at Hosea Kutako Airport at 15:50 We will meet you at the airport and assist you with the check in for your onward flight or transfer you to Windhoek from where you will continue your safari itinerary
