FERRINO

Chi ha il compito di intervenire in situazioni di emergenza e di pericolo cerca prodotti e attrezzature capaci di offrire rifugio e protezione. In questi casi, l’unico modo per affrontare gli imprevisti è affidarsi ad un partner esperto, che sia garanzia di sicurezza. Ferrino ha sempre accompagnato imprese memorabili in ogni angolo della terra, dalle cime hymalaiane, ai grandi deserti, fino alle sterminate distese polari. Ma c’è un risultato ancora più importante, un successo da condividere con tutte le persone che vivono in prima linea le difficoltà del pronto intervento: aver contribuito a salvare vite umane, fornendo assistenza e riparo alle popolazioni colpite da guerre e calamità naturali, com’è avvenuto di recente ad Haiti e in occasione del terremoto che ha devastato L’Aquila. Sono molte le organizzazioni umanitarie nazionali e internazionali che, da oltre cinquant’anni, possono contare sui prodotti Ferrino per le operazioni di soccorso: dalle Nazioni Unite alla Croce Rossa, dal Ministero degli Interni Italiano al Dipartimento di Protezione Civile fino a Médecins Sans Frontières, con forniture continuative all’UNICEF, all’UNHCR e al World Food Programme. Le associazioni e gli enti locali, attivi nel campo della solidarietà e della protezione civile, riconoscono in Ferrino un solido punto di riferimento, anche grazie alla recente fornitura di tende (3 e 4 Campate), utilizzate con successo dalla Protezione Civile per l’emergenza sismica in Abruzzo. Those with the task of intervening in emergency or dangerous situations need items and equipment that will provide them with shelter and protection. In these cases, the only way to deal with unforeseen events is to work with an expert partner, one that can offer guaranteed safety. Ferrino has always accompanied memorable feats in every corner of the globe, from the mountains of the Himalayas to the great deserts and the endless polar stretches. But there is an even more important result, a success that we share with everyone working on the front line of emergency aid: helping to save human lives, providing shelter and assistance to the victims of war and natural disasters, such as recently in Haiti and after the earthquakes that devastated the Italian region of L’Aquila. There are many national and international humanitarian organisations that have been able to count on Ferrino products in their aid operations, for more than ﬁfty years: from the United Nations to the Red Cross, the Italian Ministry for the Interior, Civil Protection Department, and Doctors Without Borders (MSF). Ferrino also supplies UNICEF, UNHCR and the World Food Programme on a continuing basis. Local-based associations and entities working in aid and civil protection, consider Ferrino to be a solid reference, thanks also to its recent supply of tents (3- and 4-bay), which were successfully used by the Civil Protection body for the earthquake emergency in Abruzzo. Tenda innovativa a montaggio rapido, destinata alle squadre di Protezione Civile e di Primo Soccorso. Struttura mista pneumatica-tessile ignifuga (CAT I) che supera diversi problemi relativi alle tende pneumatiche, mantenendo inalterati i vantaggi in fase di montaggio. Gli archi di sostegno costituiscono l’armatura pneumatica, mentre tutta la tenda è realizzata in tessuto misto cotone/modacrilico, con caratteristiche di peso e traspirabilità decisamente interessanti rispetto alla soluzione classica delle tende pneumatiche, realizzate interamente in tessuto PVC non traspirante; questo infatti determina notevoli problemi di condensa e di cattivo odore con alte temperature. Le tende Pneu-tex sono disponibili in tre misure: 3 archi (art. 97224), 4 archi (art. 97212) e 6 archi (art. 97220). Per tutti i modelli sono disponibili: il kit di gonﬁaggio/ gonﬁaggio simultaneo, il telo interno di coibentazione, il telo divisorio,il telo ombreggiante, il modulo di collegamento, i sistemi di riscaldamento e condizionamento, l’impianto di illuminazione e la pavimentazione descritti nelle pagine seguenti.

Innovative, fast-erecting tent especially for Civil Protection and First Aid teams. Mixed, pneumatic structure and flame-retardant fabric (CAT I) to overcome the various problems concerning pneumatic tents, while maintaining all of the benefits during the set-up stages. The support arches form the pneumatic framework, while the entire tent is made in a mix of cotton/modacrylic fabric with weight and breathability characteristics that are decidedly advantageous compared to the classical pneumatic tents, entirely made in nonbreathable PVC fabric with problems of condensation and unpleasant odours in high temperatures. Pneu-Tex tents are available in three sizes: 3 arches (Art. 97224), 4 arches (Art. 97212), and 6 arches (Art. 97220). The following accessories are available for all models: simultaneous inflation/deflation kit, internal insulation sheet, dividing sheet, shade, link module, heating and conditioning systems, lighting system and flooring described in the following pages.

Shade to protect the structure below from the sun’s radiation, significantly lowering the temperature inside. Made in flame-retardant, polyester fibre, mesh fabric, supported by inflating elements in flame-retardant PVC and secured to the ground with sturdy guy-lines.

KIT GONFIAGGIO/SGONFIAGGIO SIMULTANEO Piccolo compressore alimentato con corrente elettrica a 220V, consente di gonfiare la tenda in pochissimi minuti agendo contemporaneamente su tutti gli elementi. Lo stesso apparecchio consente anche di aspirare l’aria dai tubi quando si sgonfia la tenda per riporla nella custodia, rendendo più veloce lo sgonfiaggio.

SIMULTANEOUS INFLATION/DEFLATION KIT This small compressor requiring electrical power of 220 V can be used to inflate the tent in just a few minutes, since it works on all elements at the same time. It can also be used to extract air from the tubes when deflating the tent for storage purposes, making deflation operations much quicker.

TELO DIVISORIO IGNIFUGO Ha lo scopo di sezionare la tenda in due zone, con la possibilità di transitare da una zona all’altra grazie ad un’apertura, ottenuta mediante la sovrapposizione di due lembi di tessuto. Realizzato in tessuto di cotone ignifugo (CAT I).

FLAME-RETARDANT DIVIDING SHEET This sheet is used to divide the tent into two areas, with the possibility to cross from one to another through an opening in the sheet, which is obtained by overlapping two ﬂaps. Made in ﬂame-retardant cotton. (CAT I).

Tenda innovativa di 36 m2, dal montaggio estremamente rapido, realizzata con armatura esterna autostabile, in alluminio, con gli elementi precollegati che consentono a 4 operatori di erigere la tenda (senza accessori) in soli 3 minuti. Questa struttura consente l’applicazione di un telo ombreggiante fornito di serie. La tenda ha due ingressi, le finestre sono dotate di zanzariera, telo di chiusura e coprifinestra. Il telo esterno e il pavimento sono in tessuto poliestere spalmato PVC ritardante di fiamma, impermeabile e imputrescibile. Innovative 36 m2 tent that is extremely quick to set up, made with an outer, free-standing frame in aluminimum with shock-corded poles that mean 4 people can put up the tent (without accessories) in just 3 minutes. This frame can be used with a shade canvas, which is supplied as standard. The tent has two entrances; the windows have mosquito net, shade and cover. The fly-sheet is in polyester with flame-retardant, waterproof and rot proof PVC coating. The tent comes with an inner insulating tent in flame-retardant (CAT I), waterproof cotton and with a shade in flame-retardant polyester mesh fabric. It’s possible to protect the doors with the optional entrance module.

Le camere interne di diverse dimensioni consentono di completare la dotazione migliorando radicalmente la vivibilità e l’isolamento termico sia nelle condizioni estive sia in quelle invernali. Il telo di copertura è in tessuto cotone/modacrilico impermeabile ignifugo (CAT. I) in colore blu. Le due testate verticali sono dotate di porta d’ingresso protetta da verandino, che consente la congiunzione in serie di due tende, nonché l’unione ad altre per mezzo dei moduli di collegamento. Le fiancate sono inclinate, con ampie finestre fornite di zanzariera e telo di chiusura con coprifinestra trasparente. Il modello Montana PLUS è dotato di ingressi laterali che consentono l’unione di due tende dalle fiancate. La falda a terra è in tessuto poliestere ignifugo spalmato PVC. Range of flame-retardant, modular tents (19-29-39-45 m2) supported by a sturdy independently stable frame with cross pieces along the base perimeter which allow the tent to be fixed to the ground without the use of pegs: it can even be put up on cement ground. Inner tents of different sizes are available to complete these tents and to radically improve the living area and heat insulation in both summer and winter conditions. Blue waterproof fly-sheet in cotton/modacrylic flameretardant fabric (CAT. I). The two vertical ends have doors that are protected by a new vestibule which allows other tents to be joined on using link modules. The sides are sloping with large windows that are equipped with mosquito nets and screens complete with transparent window cover. The Montana PLUS model has two side entrances to join two tents together along the side. The snow flap is in PVC-coated, flame-retardant polyester fabric. The storm guy-lines are in rope and complete with pegs. Two sleeves in the entrance sides for the passage of wiring and heating pipes. Internal ventilation adjustment thanks to the raisable snow flap and to the protected air intake under the entrance porch. Sono disponibili tre misure di camere interne adatte alle diverse taglie di tende Montana. Accoppiando una camera di taglia più piccola rispetto alla tenda (es. Montana 29FR con camera 19FR), si ottengono due spazi separati: una zona dormitorio ed una che può fungere da magazzino o da zona operativa sufficientemente spaziosa da accogliere un tavolo con panche. Nella nuova produzione le porte d’ingresso sono dotate anche di zanzariera interna. Confezionata in tessuto di cotone ignifugo (CAT I), completa di pavimento in tessuto poliestere spalmato PVC ignifugo.

There are three different inner tent measurements that are suitable for the different sizes of Montana tent. Using inner tents that are smaller than the tents themselves (e.g. Montana 29 FR with inner tent 19 FR), is possible to obtain two separate areas: a sleeping area and a working or storeroom area for materials or room for a table with bench seats. In the new production range, the entrance doors also have internal mosquito nets. Made in flame-retardant cotton fabric (CAT I) and complete with floor in flame-retardant PVC-coated polyester fabric.

MONTANA ISOTHERMAL INNER TENT FR The isothermal inner tent significantly increases insulation for the tent, meaning it can maintain a suitable temperature inside even without using a powerful heating system. It is made in a special fabric obtained by joining a layer of flame-retardant cotton fabric to one in insulating material. Heating tests have shown how an inner tent in this materials allows an increase in temperatures inside the tent of 6-8° C, according to the wind conditions. Tests were carried out on a tent of approx. 20 m2, taking the outside and inside temperatures every 15 minutes as well as measuring the humidity and wind speed. An electric stove (power 2300W, reduced to 1000W overnight) was placed inside the tent. With this configuration, with an outside temperature of –2° C, the inside temperature of the tent remained around 12° C. With a standard inner tent, the temperature was found to be 4° C.

CAMERA ISOTERMICA FR MONTANA La camera isotermica aumenta signiﬁcativamente l’isolamento della tenda, consentendo di mantenere una temperatura interna adeguata anche senza l’utilizzo di un sistema di riscaldamento molto potente. È realizzata con un tessuto speciale ottenuto dall’accoppiamento di uno strato di tessuto di cotone ignifugo ad uno di materiale isolante. Le prove termiche condotte hanno evidenziato come la camera realizzata con questo tessuto consenta un innalzamento della temperatura interna della tenda di 6/8° C, a seconda delle condizioni di vento presenti. Le prove sono state condotte su una tenda da 20 m2 circa, rilevando ogni 15 minuti la temperatura esterna e quella interna, l’umidità e la velocità del vento. All’interno della tenda si è posizionata una stufa elettrica di potenza 2300W, con funzionamento ridotto a 1000W nella notte. In questa conﬁgurazione, con una temperatura esterna di –2° C, la temperatura interna della tenda si è assestata sui 12° C. Con la camera standard la temperatura rilevata è stata di 4° C.

Accoppiando una camera di taglia più piccola rispetto alla tenda (es. Multipurpose 42sqm. con camera 32sqm.), si ottengono due spazi separati: una zona dormitorio ed una che può fungere da magazzino o da zona operativa sufficientemente spaziosa da accogliere un tavolo con panche. There are two different inner tent measurements that are suitable to complete the different sizes of tent, adding to comfort and heat insulation. Using inner tents that are smaller than the tents themselves (e.g. Montana 29 FR with inner tent 19 FR), is possible to obtain two separate areas: a sleeping area and a working or storeroom area for materials or room for a table with bench seats. Tenda realizzata su richiesta specifica dell’UNICEF come tenda scuola ma destinabile anche a usi diversi come tenda meeting, mensa e varie attività di socializzazione, grazie all’ampia superficie di 72 m2. Ha una struttura simile alla tenda Polifunzionale, con pareti staccabili e ampie finestre. È confezionata in tessuto poliestere ignifugo spalmato PVC (CPAI-84/1995) di colore bianco, la falda a terra è in robusto polietilene, le cuciture sono nastrate. La tenda è fornita completa di una serie supplementare di pali verticali da attaccare all’asta di colmo in caso di neve, per aumentare la resistenza della struttura e sopportare meglio il peso di carico. Viene inoltre fornito un sistema di nastri e ganci elastici per appendere eventuali teli divisori o, per l’uso come tenda scuola, di una lavagna. Imballata in robuste casse di legno.

It has a structure similar to the Polyfuncitonal tent, with removable walls and large windows. The tent is made in white, flame-retardant (CPAI84/1995) polyester fabric with PVC coating. The snow flap is in sturdy polyethylene and all seams are taped. The tent is supplied with a full set of extra poles to be fastened to the ridge pole in case of snow, in order to increase the resistance of the structure and better support the load. A set of tapes and elastic hooks is also provided for hanging partitions or, when used as a school tent, to hang a chalkboard. It is packed in sturdy wooden crates.

C tappeto antiscivolo, arrotolabile, ignifugo classe I, struttura a ricciolo vinilico per rimuovere, trattenere e nascondere lo sporco, facile da pulire, in rotoli da 1,25x5,8 m oppure 1,25x7,8 m spessore 9 mm. La Tenda Modulare Ultrarapida è la soluzione più versatile proposta oggi da Ferrino, adatta a una molteplicità di usi per i quali la rapidità di montaggio, la compattezza dell’imballo e la versatilità sono i requisiti fondamentali. Un prodotto ignifugo e pertanto a norma, utilizzabile in tutte le manifestazioni all’aperto e al chiuso. La struttura a pantografo in alluminio, consente un montaggio facile e sicuro che due sole persone sono in grado di portare a termine in circa 60 secondi, regolando le gambe telescopiche all’altezza desiderata. La tenda una volta riposta ha un ingombro molto ridotto che ne consente il trasporto con qualsiasi mezzo.

The Ultra-fast Modular Tent is the most versatile solution from Ferrino today and it is perfect for a host of uses where fast set-up, compact packing and versatile use are fundamental requirements. A ﬂame-retardant product and therefore, compliant with standards and suitable for use at open-air and indoor events. The pantograph aluminium frame means it is safe and easy for two people to set up in approximately 60 seconds, adjusting the telescopic legs to the required height. Once packed away, the tent’s dimensions are extremely small and can be transported with any means.

The modular nature of the tent means it can be used adjacently to different structures, covering display or recreational areas of large size with surfaces of variable shape.

STRUTTURA La struttura in alluminio è costituita da proﬁli in alluminio anodizzati, molto resistenti. Gli elementi portanti hanno sezione quadrata da 30 mm, con spessore 2 mm. Gli elementi a pantografo hanno sezione rettangolare, 20 mm x 15 mm, con spessore 2 mm. I singoli elementi sono assemblati con dadi autobloccanti e bulloni a testa stondata. Rispetto alla soluzione con rivetti è molto più agevole la manutenzione e l’eventuale sostituzione di parti danneggiate. I giunti sono realizzati in alluminio a pressofusione e hanno una notevole resistenza meccanica. Un indubbio vantaggio rispetto agli elementi in plastica, molto meno resistenti e affidabili con basse e alte temperature. La parte soggetta a scorrimento è protetta da un elemento interno in plastica che impedisce la graffiatura dei pali, facilita lo scorrimento e riduce il rischio di inceppamenti del tessuto all’interno delle parti in movimento. Le gambe sono telescopiche per ridurre l’ingombro della tenda piegata e per consentire di adattare l’altezza del singolo appoggio, così da poter montare la tenda anche in presenza di piani di appoggio non in quota. La gamba termina con un piede di appoggio di dimensione 10 x 10 cm che presenta due fori per l’inserimento di picchetti di sicurezza.

STRUCTURE The aluminium frame is comprised of extra-strong, anodised aluminium proﬁles. The load-bearing elements have a 30 mm square section, with a thickness of 2 mm. The pantograph elements have a rectangular section (20 mm x 15 mm), with a thickness of 2 mm. Individual elements are assembled using self-locking round head nuts and bolts. Compared to a solution with rivets, this system is easier to maintain and also to replace damage parts, if needed. The joints are made in die-cast aluminium and they have a notable mechanical strength. This is deﬁnitely an advantage compared to elements in plastic, which are far weaker, and it is also more reliable in high and low temperatures. The sliding part is protected by an internal element in plastic to prevent the poles from being scratched, making sliding easier and reducing the risk of fabric becoming snagged inside moving parts. The legs are telescopic to reduce the overall size of the tent when folded and to make it easier to adapt the height of single supports so that the tent can even be set up on uneven surfaces. The leg ends in a support foot (10 x 10 cm) with two holes for the insertion of safety pegs.

TESSUTI Il tetto è realizzato con tessuto di poliestere ignifugo, impermeabile e antistrappo. (II cat.D.M. 24/6/88). Le cuciture sono realizzate con macchine di qualità a doppio ago e sono successivamente termosaldate con un nastro di poliuretano per garantire l’assoluta impermeabilità. Nei punti di maggior sollecitazione sono presenti dei rinforzi in tessuto bispalmato PVC per evitare l’usura del tessuto.

FABRICS The roof is made in ﬂame-retardant, water-resistant and tear-proof polyester fabric (II cat.D.M. 24/6/88). The seams are made with quality machines using double needles and then they are heat welded with polyurethane tape to guarantee total watertightness. The points subject to the greatest stress have fabric reinforcements, coated with PVC on both sides to prevent wear to the fabric.

TEnda modulare ultrarapida ULTRA-FAST MODULAR TENT ANCORAGGIO In corrispondenza degli angoli sono previsti degli anelli in nastro per posizionamento dei tiranti o in alternativa, dei “corpi morti” costituiti da pratiche sacche stagne in tessuto atte a contenere sabbia o acqua. La custodia è realizzata in tessuto di Poliestere 600 Denari di elevata resistenza. In due ampie tasche laterali sono inoltre alloggiati gli accessori di serie: Spilloni e tiranti, Picchetti da 25 mm con sezione a “T”, una mazza in acciaio da 800 gr e le quattro sacche stagne utilizzabili come “corpi morti”.

ANCHORAGE Tape loops are present in the corners to position guylines or alternatively, “ballast”, comprised of sealed fabric bags that can be ﬁlled with sand or water. The stuff sack is made in ultra-strong 600 denier polyester fabric. Two large side pockets contain the accessories supplied as standard: Hooks and guy-lines, T-section pegs (25 mm), a steel mallet (800 g) and four sealed bags that can be used for “ballast”.

DIMENSIONI La tenda modulare è disponibile in due diverse misure. Le strutture possono essere affiancate su entrambi i lati e una gronda di collegamento in PVC impedisce le inﬁltrazioni di acqua tra i due tetti.

SIZES The modular tent is available in two different sizes. Structures can be placed one alongside the other (either side) and a PVC linkage gutter prevents water from leaking between the two roofs.

PARETI SUPPLEMENTARI Per completare la tenda sono disponibili pareti standard, pareti con finestre semplici, pareti con porta e pareti con finestre dotate di zanzariera e telo coprifinestra. Tutte le pareti si fissano al tetto mediante un robusto velcro e con un analogo sistema a ampia sovrapposizione in corrispondenza della gambe, le pareti si fissano una all’altra a realizzare una copertura laterale completa e continua. Nel caso in cui si utilizzasse una singola parete, questa può essere fissata alle gambe mediante nastri in velcro posizionati a diversa altezza. Tutte le pareti presentano asole per l’eventuale fissaggio a terra. Alla base del tetto è previsto un nastro di velcro da 50 mm, per il rapido fissaggio delle pareti laterali. Le pareti sono realizzate nello stesso tessuto ingnifugo con cui è realizzato il tetto. Tale tessuto supera il severo test USA CPAI-84/1995 previsto per i tessuti per tenda e possiede la II categoria DM 24/6/88.

ADDITIONAL WALLS To complete the tent standard walls are available, as well as walls with plain windows: with windows complete with mosquito net and shade, and walls with door. All walls can be secured to the roof by means of strong Velcro fasteners and with a similar system using a wide overlap at the legs; the walls can be fastened to one another to create a full and continuing side coverage. When using a single wall, this can be ﬁxed to the legs with Velcro tapes, placed at different heights. All of the walls have loops to secure them to the ground, if necessary. At the base of the roof is a Velcro tape (50 mm) for rapid fastening to side walls. The walls are made in the same ﬂame-retardant fabric as the roof. This fabric has passed the stringent USA CPAI-84/1995 test envisaged for tents and it is registered as Category II DM 24/6/88.
