A NEW AND IMPROVED SUNDAY DRIVE VANDERHALL

Steve Hall has been passionate about all things wheeled and motorized since he was a toddler. Coming from a long line of innovators and inventors, Steve’s grandfather invented the process of growing synthetic diamonds with a press of his own design. His father has generated more patents than any other entity in the state of Utah.

Steve put himself through college flipping Porsche 911s. This evolved into a successful car dealership, specializing in Highline and exotics. He was the first importer of Noble Sports Cars, a British exotic. THE EPA promptly ceased his first two units and in the process of getting them back, albeit with titles branded as “race car only”, Steve gained an education in homologation: the process of navigating the regulatory requirements to offer a road-legal vehicle for sale in the U.S.

He started tinkering with designs of his own, for his own enjoyment. But it wasn’t until he was staring across his dealership lot that he found himself contemplating: “Is this what I want to be doing when I am 50?”, that he realized that he wanted to pivot. He didn’t want to sell other people’s creations. He wanted to create his own. His staff thought he was a bit off his rocker when he walled off half of his successful dealership’s showroom – turning it into a makeshift R&D shop.

He prototyped this way for two years before going all in, selling his business and focusing solely on creating something unique to market. After 5 years of multiple iterations, Steve brought his first Model to market: the Vanderhall Laguna. A limited run of carbon fiber bodied roadsters that ranged from $49,950 to $77,000. 12 Months later, he

released his second model, the Venice. A starting price of $29,950 enabled the roadsters to reach a much broader audience.

In 2020, Steve released his next two models: the

Carmel, a model between the Venice and the

upscale Laguna, and the Edison 2 , an all-electric

roadster based on the Venice chassis.

A description of the company. At Vanderhall, we believe we have created, revitalized, a driving experience that returns the motorist to the golden age of motoring – driving for the sake of driving. In the early days of

the automobile and the motorcycle, the thrill was in the feel of the road. The vehicle helped you to feel part of it. Vanderhall endeavors to recreate that experience with modern conveniences. With its timeless lines and elegant grace, a Vanderhall would be as much at home in the 50’s and 60’s as it is today. The road is calling again, and a Vanderhall roadster is your means to answer that call. Vanderhall’s design language is anchored in performance, class, and style. We are proud to carry on the tradition of producing fine, hand-built vehicles that started well over a century ago. As you join us on the road, it’s important to be mindful of one thing. We hope you enjoy attention – wherever you go, you’re going to make a lot of new friends.
