Wendel Nixon (‘72), Comprehensive Campaign Chair

Today we pause to celebrate the historic achievement of our “Making Great Stories Possible” campaign. Thank you to all who had “ears to hear and eyes to see” the call and vision of what God has called and continues to call Trevecca to become. Together we have climbed this mountain, run this race, completed this task and achieved this high goal. Our many separate, individual stories have been woven together, becoming a new story of God’s grace. Today I am keenly aware of God’s protective hand on Trevecca in the past, His manifest overflowing blessings on our present and His promise of sufficiency, in Him, for our future. As we reflect on the milestone, what can we learn as the Trevecca story is written? First, we must receive a clear vision of God’s plan for us in His Kingdom. We must set high goals that require reliance on God’s power to be fulfilled. We also must be persistent and faithful in telling His story of grace in our lives and in the life of Trevecca. And we must be steadfast in faith, believing whole-heartedly that, if it is in alignment with God’s will, we will achieve our goal. One precept will never change: in every generation, God remains faithful. Thank you again to all the leaders and partners in this historic effort. While we celebrate this victory, let’s look forward expectantly to the unfolding of the story of Trevecca Nazarene University.

$1,218,255 raised in 24 hours by 1,259 donors “Our people believe in what we are doing and they are generous. Simply stated, thank you, friends!” – Dr. Dan Boone, President

Trevecca alumni and friends aspire to exceed expectations. The comprehensive campaign “Making Great Stories Possible” and the first-ever Trevecca Giving Day proved to be no exceptions. The University’s five-year comprehensive campaign goals were set in 2015 with a focus on endowments, capital projects and current programs. Securing new estate commitments for the future success of the University was the most significant goal. The $75 million financial goal was surpassed, with more than $84.3 million raised and nearly 9,500 donors participating. Of the total gifts, $54.5 million represented new estate commitments and $29.8 million represented capital and current gifts. Trevecca Giving Day was the concluding event for the overall campaign. Alumni, employees, students and friends rallied together as 1,259 donors gave $1,218,255 during the 24-hour period. “We saw a huge outpouring of love and support in ways that inspire us as we focus on future priorities,” External Relations VP Peggy Cooning said. “Trevecca Giving Day was truly a physical expression of Making Great Stories Possible.” “Sometimes a university president just wonders,” President Dan Boone said, “how wide and deep are the devotion and loyalty to an alma mater, a Christian university, a missional expression of the Kingdom of God. The ‘Making Great Stories Possible’ campaign and the first annual Trevecca Giving Day are the clearest expressions I’ve seen in 16 years as Trevecca’s president.”

Impact Made from Love Melvin (‘61) and Joyce (‘61) Welch have been connected to Trevecca for more than six decades and have invested much of their lives in the school and its mission. Their journey began in 1957 when they both enrolled as freshmen. Throughout many of the 63 years that have followed, the Welches have been students and employees. Melvin Welch was the first dean of the School of Education, served as assistant to the president, and helped pave the way for the University’s first master’s and doctoral degrees. Joyce Welch served as manager of the bookstore. “It is because of what we have experienced at Trevecca that we feel privileged to share our story with others,” Melvin Welch said. The Welches have created a lasting legacy with multiple scholarship endowments and other means of support for the University, including their estate plan. Trevecca is honored to recognize them as members of The Adams League of Loyal Donors for their 41 consecutive years of support.

“Giving to Trevecca is our way of expressing our gratitude for what this University and community mean to us,” Melvin Welch said. “We are just so thankful that we can give back from the heart to a mission we are so passionate about.” The Dr. & Mrs. Melvin Welch Ed.D. Research Endowment, now at $500,000, stands as a shining example of how connections to former students, faculty and friends have benefited the School of Education. “We hope people understand our genuine love for Trevecca and, more importantly, the joy and privilege of giving regularly to a place where our lives were influenced at such an early age, and even now,” Melvin Welch shared. “And, through God’s continued blessings, we shall continue giving. “I cherish the fact that, even to this day, I am reminded of my decision to come to Trevecca. Looking out from my front porch, I can see the window of my freshman dorm room. I just love Trevecca.”

“We hope people understand the joy and privilege of giving regularly to a place where our lives were influenced at such an early age, and even now.” – Dr. Melvin Welch 8 TREVECCAN

The Adams League Named in honor of Dr. and Mrs. Homer Adams, the Adams League of Loyal Donors recognizes donors who have made a gift of any size to Trevecca for five or more consecutive years. Some League members have contributed financially for more than 40 years!

Capturing History Dr. Homer Adams (‘47) has devoted his career to preserving and sharing history. “I thoroughly enjoyed teaching history to Trevecca students and making history come alive for them,” Adams said. “I’d often hear they had always disliked history until they took it from me and discovered the human connection.” It is all about the human connection for Adams, who after graduating in 1947 found his way back to Trevecca to serve as a history professor, board member, and university president (1979 to 1991). He has authored 30 books and hundreds of articles, including a book series about insights from the Bible and books on the history of Trevecca. Now at age 99, Adams is working on his latest book, which will cover the history of his family. The Adamses have deep roots at Trevecca; his parents both attended in 1912, and at least one family member has been enrolled at Trevecca every decade since. In all, 21 family members have been educated at Trevecca. The Adamses’ strong commitment to Trevecca has been evident in their generosity as well as their years of service. The Adamses have been encouragers and supporters of many students, professors, and alumni throughout the years. As part of the “Making Great Stories Possible” campaign in 2018, Trevecca named its consecutive giving society the Adams League of Loyal Donors in honor of Homer and Bea Adams’ 41 years of consecutive giving. The Adamses sum up their involvement this way: “Our lives have been wrapped up in Trevecca.”

Staying Connected One of the powerful bridges between Trevecca and the ever growing pool of alumni is Dr. Michael Johnson, director of alumni and church engagement (’82, ’03, ‘20). Johnson’s primary responsibility is helping alumni and churches stay connected to the University. The concept “out-of-sight, out-of-mind” plays out in the lives of many alumni from every school across the nation, as it is a natural tendency for people to shift their focus to other things after graduation. But for Johnson, his own experience has been quite the exception, as he is in his thirty-fifth year of active engagement with Trevecca. “From the moment I walked on campus and met the amazing people here, so committed to God, I knew this was a place where I could invest my time, money, and energy, and make an impact,” said Johnson. “Over half of my life has been spent here at Trevecca,” said Johnson. “I met my wife at Trevecca, our three sons and two of our daughtersin-law attended here, and my dad served as Board of Trustees chairman. Additionally, my in-laws, Homer and Bea Adams, have an amazing legacy at Trevecca, and the network of friends that Sarah and I have is mostly due to this place. “For over 20 years, I have had a certain amount of money withheld from my paycheck and given back to Trevecca. Recently my wife and I were given a statement showing our lifetime giving. We were humbled that we had been able to give as we have, but it’s all because we’ve given a little bit, over time, on a regular basis. We choose Trevecca again and again, every pay period.”

“I want to continue to give to a place that has had such a profound impact on my life.” – Dr. Michael Johnson

Donald and Zelma Waggoner have spent their lives devoted to loving and serving Christ Jesus. The same commitment is evident in their support for Trevecca Nazarene University. The Waggoners have created a scholarship fund that blesses students with the means to attend Trevecca. Their decision to fund a scholarship comes from a desire to empower today’s youth to obtain a college education in a setting that reinforces their Christian beliefs. “Choosing a Christian university like Trevecca says a lot about a student,” Don Waggoner said. “We want to support the students’ desire to seek God and have an environment that encourages them in their faith and provides them a community full of fellow believers. “Everyone we have ever encountered at Trevecca, from the staff to the faculty, has been extremely genuine in their faith and desire to teach and strengthen young adults in preparation for adulthood,” he said. The Waggoners’ goal is to take God’s blessing in life and pay it forward. “I feel honored knowing that what I have done throughout my career can help others, especially students who need that extra financial support,” Waggoner said.

“I am deeply grateful to Don and Zelma Waggoner for their ongoing support of the mission of Trevecca. They have demonstrated the humility and generosity of Christ in their assistance to students. It is a mark of Christian character to understand that being blessed enables one to bless others. The Waggoners are changing the trajectory of young lives and I am grateful to be a partner with them in fulfilling their hopes.” – Dr. Dan Boone, President

Equipping Future

Generations

Here are some expressions of gratitude from recipients of the scholarship contributed by Donald and Zelma Waggoner.

“Thank you for investing in my future. I have prayed that God would equip me with strength and knowledge as well as people who would come alongside me. It means the world to me that you have decided to invest in me and believe in me.” Maleah Bryant, Sophomore, Religion/Children’s Ministry Major “Thank you so much for investing not only in me as a person but also in the calling that God has placed on my life. I believe that the Lord is going to use me to reach so many people with the love of Jesus Christ. By funding my education, you are pouring into my life and the lives of the people to whom the Lord has called me to bring the Gospel. Thank you so much!” Sommer Bright, Sophomore, Communications Major “Your contribution to my success at this school means more than you can possibly know. God surely has a way of working. This scholarship has allowed me to grow unconditionally with the Lord while becoming a faithful, hardworking man. Thank you for planting a seed toward my education. God bless!” Ethan Feick, Sophomore, Communications Major “Most of the time when you cause a butterfly effect, you can’t see where it’s going. However, I can see the butterfly effect in my youth pastors that were awarded scholarships like this, who directly affected me and helped me figure out my calling. My hope is that one day someone will be able to send a thank you letter because, in some small way, I have helped them to figure out their own calling.” Mariah Black, Freshman, Religion/Youth Ministry Major 17

Taking a Career to the

Next Level

Eight years into a career that involved transition training for military service members, Wade Jaynes (‘08) decided to pursue a degree in instructional design at Trevecca Nazarene University. His time for school activities was limited due to a full-time job and family life. Fortunately, Trevecca’s School of Graduate and Continuing Studies offered an online master’s program that allowed him to study around his schedule and complete his degree within 15 months. He now works as an instructional designer and has a federal contract to support transitioning service members. “Through my past responsibilities, I discovered instructional design,” said Jaynes. “I enjoy conceptualizing and designing the training content, and I love solving problems. I decided to pursue a master’s degree in instructional design & technology at Trevecca because the curriculum was an awesome balance of theory and practical coursework, with a lot of technology-oriented classes. I also liked that the program wasn’t geared solely toward educators or corporate training, so my class assignments could involve areas that were related to my professional interests. That had a big impact on my continued enjoyment of the assignments and helped me create a relevant portfolio. My cohort had teachers and trainers; it was a great mix.” When Jaynes talks with anyone interested in pursuing a career in instructional design, he encourages them to consider Trevecca and the benefits of its program. “Every assignment is something you can put into a portfolio and share with a future employer. The way the program at Trevecca is designed, you can both develop and demonstrate your skills. There is no busy work or wasted effort. All the courses are directly relevant to working as an instructional designer.”

Responding to a Need

The Founding of the Trojan Booster Endowment

In 1985, the Athletic Department was in need of a bus to transport athletes. They organized a jog-a-thon around campus in which participants would get pledges for every mile they were able to complete. J. Dwight Ragsdale (‘67) got involved, having fun training and raising funds. Ragsdale was so successful in his endeavor that he personally accounted for more than half of the total $2,300 raised through the event. It was this experience that sparked his interest in raising more funds for the Trevecca Athletic Department. Four years later, Trevecca President Homer Adams gave Ragsdale permission to raise funds to establish a scholarship endowment that would support student scholar-athletes. The Trojan Boosters Endowment (TBE) was formed and Ragsdale went to work. His approach was to ask for a $1,000 commitment to be a Trojan Booster Endowment Fellow. Fellows could pay for their membership over the course of five years. Today there are 195 TBE Fellows.

In addition to the TBE Fellow program, Ragsdale has organized an annual golf scramble to grow the scholarship endowment. To date, there have been 28 events. The 2021 TBE golf scramble will take place September 18 at Montgomery Bell State Park. Over the course of the past 32 years, Ragsdale has kept his commitment to Dr. Adams and led the TBE fundraising effort for the benefit of Trevecca student athletes. Through the generosity of hundreds of donors—including Ragsdale himself—the fund’s value surpassed $1 million in January 2021. This goal was achieved during the “Making Great Stories Possible” campaign. This achievement will allow Trevecca to award more than $40,000 in scholarships for the coming school year from the endowment. Scholarship awards are equitably distributed among all sports and among female and male athletes. “My wife played basketball in high school and was a big supporter of the Trevecca team,” Ragsdale said. “It is important that we have equitable distribution of the scholarship funds for both female and male sports.”

“I’ve spent thousands of hours working on raising funds for this endowment,” Ragsdale said. That’s something he never could have imagined when he first enrolled at Trevecca High School back in 1949. He continued his college education at Trevecca while working on campus for 30 cents per hour in the 1950s. From humble beginnings to founding a million-dollar endowment, Ragsdale has created a legacy that supports the dreams of students. “I have repeatedly thanked Dr. Adams for trusting me to start the Trojan Boosters Endowment,” Ragsdale said. “I assure every new and continuing donor that their gift is an investment in every student who receives a TBE scholarship from now until our Lord returns.” “When people ask why I don’t quit raising funds, I tell them, ‘God has his thumb in my back. I can’t quit,’” Ragsdale said. “I want students to have a better chance than I had when I was in school. The Trojan Boosters Endowment is an investment that lasts forever.”

Make Your Presence Known

An invitation from Tom Middendorf, SVP, Provost, to join us in prayer The idea of “presence” has been on my mind, and it’s been chosen as the theme for the upcoming 2021 commencement. Presence represents both the greatest challenge for us throughout this past year, and the greatest opportunity as the larger body of Christ begins to gather again in this new season as COVID restrictions are lifted. Trevecca has always been a praying community, and our rich history is full of examples where God answered the prayers of faithful followers of Christ. As we enter this next chapter, I would like to extend the invitation to the larger Trevecca community to pray with us. Use the list on the next page as a guide.

Prayer List Pray for our 2021 graduates.

They are a group that had to overcome unprecedented circumstances to earn their education. May God use these circumstances – the challenges, the hurt, grief, separation, and more – in amazing ways to shape a future that brings honor and glory to His name.

Pray for an incoming class of traditional students in the fall of 2021.

Many of these 18-19-year-old students may have been attending school virtually for most of their senior year in high school and missed out on a lot of experiences. Pray that they find the friends that will last a lifetime as they begin their college journey at Trevecca.

Pray for our adult students that are looking for a new beginning as they start a degree-completion or graduate program at Trevecca.

The uncertainty of the pandemic likely detoured some adults from starting a program. Pray for these individuals as they step out in faith to pursue something new.

Pray for renewal and restoration for our faculty, Trevecca employees, and returning students.

The past year required a massive response from the Trevecca community to make the significant adjustments required to allow for in-person learning. Pray that God renews the spirit of tired souls and helps them to find rest.

Pray for revival on our campus and in churches across the Southeast. May the coming months be filled with a massive response from believers and nonbelievers to gather in worship of our Lord, Jesus Christ.

Pray for those who have been impacted by COVID-19

The impact from unemployment, sickness, loss, grief, medical expenses, etc. has been extreme for many.

Pray for our president, Dr. Dan Boone

Ask that the Spirit gives him wisdom, guidance, and a continued Godly vision for Trevecca. 25

The Financial Support Needed to Fund a Dream In the fall of 1979, Deborah (Debbie) Mann Sweat (‘83) and a friend drove to Nashville to walk the Trevecca campus. Already enrolled at another university, Sweat was not looking to make a move. She shares, “I felt an immediate sense of peace, like I knew that God was drawing me here.” With the help of Nazarenes via the guidance of Nina Gunter, Sweat completed the paperwork and the South Carolina Nazarene district also provided funds to assist her. Sweat enrolled in the elementary education program in 1980. Her favorite professor was Carole Costa, who knew the value of investing in students. Fast forward 30 years and Sweat and her husband Jim are happily settled in South Carolina, where she continues to teach. Throughout the ‘Making Great Stories Possible’ campaign, the Sweats have given back generously through two endowments named for Trevecca mentors who meant so much — Nina Griggs Gunter and Carole Costa. “I came not knowing all the twists and turns my life would take, but God has worked through it all,” Sweat said. “I have friends that I made at Trevecca who are still precious to me. I know a lot of people helped me get to Trevecca back then, and now it’s my turn to give back.”

Donation Makes Learning in Action Possible The thing that Ellie Allen (‘23) loves about working in the Dunn Broadcast and Live Recording Studio in Trevecca’s Jackson Center for Music and Worship Arts is that no two days are exactly the same. “Sometimes I’m just learning by watching other people work on their craft; other times it’s hands-on, and I get to learn by taking action. It’s honestly one of my favorite campus resources because it helps me educate myself and pursue my dreams.” Funded by a gift from alumni John and Susan Dunn (’82) along with John’s mother, Sarah, the studio plays a vital role in the educational experiences of many Trevecca students. For those minoring in recording technology, the studio offers a way to apply classroom learning as well as to prepare for their future profession. “There’s no substitute [for the hands-on experience],” said Blake Houchin (‘97), assistant professor of audio and recording technology. “Students need to push the faders and turn the knobs. They have to create muscle memory. It’s just like playing an instrument. If you never put your hands on a guitar, you’ll never learn to play it. A console is no different. [The studio allows students] to learn a lot of technical things they can’t learn just by reading a book.” When COVID-19 circumstances prevented large group gatherings and performances, the Dunn Broadcast and Live Recording Studio took on new life. “The studio has been in heavy use since the building opened, but it has played an even more important role as we’ve transitioned to virtual performances during COVID,” said Dr. David Diehl (‘89), dean of Trevecca’s School of Music and Worship Arts. “With the creation of this new studio, students have been able to train at a higher level and more systematically in regard to live sound. Trevecca has had a recording studio since the late 80’s and students have had opportunities to learn about recording technology since then, but the addition of training in live sound opens up potential jobs for students in touring, conventions and churches.”

A Shared Mission for Young People

“Our church is committed to reaching and serving young people. We invest in our children and youth programs as our primary mission of who we are as a church. This has been our commitment for over 20 years.” – Pastor Howard Plummer

36 TREVECCAN

Trevecca and Hermitage Church of the Nazarene have much in common, but the driving force behind both is the idea of drawing young people to Christ. “It all begins with having a vision for young people and a heart that desires to reach them for Christ,” Senior Pastor Howard Plummer (’74) of Hermitage Church explained. A Trevecca graduate himself, Plummer finds that recommending Trevecca to the young people comes naturally. Trevecca is a part of the church’s DNA because, in addition to Plummer, there are six staff pastors who are alumni, and about a third of the congregation either attends, has attended or is considering attending Trevecca. “For us, Trevecca is a part of our church. We want our students to go to Trevecca because we know they will be loved and provided for there,” Plummer said. The youth at Hermitage Church of the Nazarene have another strong influence in their lives, thanks to alumnus Hunter Steinmetz (’16), their high school and college pastor. “On the relational side of my job, I work really hard to help students know that I love them and believe in them. During my six years in this role, I have tried to be an open channel of communication for them to explore their questions about God and their faith,” Steinmetz said. “I love that during my time at Trevecca my professors were that support for me.

“My professors helped free me to love Christ more and become a better Christ-follower than I ever imagined possible. I was freed from so many things that were stuck in my head as a kid. That’s part of the reason I refer students to Trevecca — the impact I believe their professors can have on their lives.” One of the things both pastors focus on is welcoming youth into God’s kingdom. From reaching out in the community to nurturing youth during their foundational years, they are committed to giving students the support they need to grow their relationships with God.

“Referring students to Trevecca is easy because I know from the moment we send students there, the staff, faculty and upperclassman will rally around them.” – Pastor Hunter Steinmetz

“I know that Trevecca can take over and fulfill the role of investing in the lives of our students,” Steinmetz said. “I know all the amazing mentors that I had during my time at Trevecca and I believe in the ability of the current Trevecca community to help the students thrive.”

Investing in Ministry During the “Making Great Stories Possible” campaign, Trevecca sought foundation partners who align with Trevecca’s Christian mission. According to Lilly Endowment, Inc.’s website,“our primary aim in religion is to deepen and enrich the religious lives of Christians in the United States, principally by supporting efforts that enhance the vitality of congregations” (https://lillyendowment.org/our-work/religion). Grants from Lilly totaling $1,859,750 were awarded to Trevecca to support the University and the Endowment’s shared mission. In 2015, Lilly Endowment, Inc. began its partnership with Trevecca by awarding a three-year, $500,000-plus youth theology grant. The partnership’s goal was to create a process to impact today’s youth who feel a calling to the ministry at a young age. Trevecca’s Youth Theology Institute was created to help guide youth and their youth pastors as they explore that calling. Lilly provided two additional grants to Trevecca to help sustain the continued work of exploring high school students’ calling for the ministry. Dr. Tim Green, dean of the Millard Reed School of Theology and Christian Ministry, is the grant’s director. “Of all the things I have been involved in over the past 30 years, there is nothing that has brought me more excitement than this project,” Green said. “We are prepared to help teens get the support and resource they need to discern and follow God’s calling.” In 2020, Lilly Endowment, Inc. awarded Trevecca a planning grant followed by a $1 million grant that supports the implementation of Laborers in the Vineyard. This program is designed for pastors in their first five years of service—especially pastors of small congregations, diverse congregations, and church plants. “Through the development of Laborers in the Vineyard and the Youth Theology Institute at Trevecca,” Green said, “the School of Theology and Christian Ministry continues to commit to and engage in the life and growth of the very center of Christian ministry. The life of the local church lies at the heart of carrying out the Gospel of Christ.”

Impacting the Community with Trees & Cycles Partnering with AmeriCorps to bring VISTA members to Trevecca required the University to dig deep to impact the poverty of our surrounding neighbors. Located within ZIP code 37210 just outside of downtown Nashville, Trevecca is uniquely positioned to serve as the body of Christ. No matter which direction you go heading away from campus, you can access an interstate. Although this makes for quick connections, the impact of so much traffic has taken its toll on the community.

44 TREVECCAN

There are not enough trees to offset the pollution caused by the interstate traffic, and the amount of land devoted to holding space for the interstates has limited the amount of green space for area neighborhoods. “The sector of 37210 surrounding campus is labeled as a food desert, meaning our neighbors do not have access to enough healthy fruits and vegetables and have limited resources to acquire healthy food,” said Janice Lovell (‘81), director of grants and foundation relations.

“Many of our neighbors have no reliable mode of transportation and must rely on walking, hitching a ride or taking limited lines of public transportation. It was out of our desire to help address these concerns that we founded TreeCycle and began our partnership with AmeriCorps,” Lovell said. “The work of the Trevecca Urban Farm is building a food system that works for everyone and heals the earth,” Trevecca Urban Farm Director Jason Adkins (‘99) said. “We train students in the community along with Trevecca students in how to care for the environment, raise healthy foods, and provide a mode of transportation through refurbishing bicycles.” Created through a grant established by the Metro-Davidson County Department of Health, TreeCycle helps address health disparities in Davidson County by focusing on:

“We are able to employ community youth in green-collar jobs, learning how to grow their own food and care for the environment. We are also empowering them to become leaders.”

– Jason Adkins Trevecca Urban Farm Director

1. Planting edible fruit and nut trees around the community. 2. Refurbishing and donating bicycles to provide a mode of reliable transportation for neighbors without a vehicle. “The VISTA members who partner with Trevecca, create more capacity for us to do this work,” said Lovell. “They are responsible for recruiting volunteers and funding. VISTA members keep the machine well oiled and help us get the resources to keep this mission going. They also make participation on the farm easier and accessible for students and youth in the community to work. It is a productive partnership.”

46 TREVECCAN

The pace of our world often finds us running at top speed to complete a race, only to be greeted at the finish line by people asking the question, “What’s next?” This issue of The Treveccan pauses for a moment to reflect on what we’ve just completed - the largest comprehensive campaign in the history of Trevecca, appropriately titled “Making Great Stories Possible.” You have read some of the great stories in this issue. I want to add my thanks to campaign chair Wendel Nixon and his team for their tireless efforts over the past five years to bring us to the total of more than $84 million. Trevecca is grateful to have people like Wendel (and those of you reading this) who care about the future as much as the past. Which prompts the question, “So, what’s next?” I’m glad you asked. Even as I write this, a new Health Sciences wing of the Greathouse Science Building is under construction. This 4-story, 33,000-square-foot addition will allow us to expand our Physician Assistant program, offer new medical degrees, and provide labs and classrooms to our fastest growing major. In May, we will begin a renovation and addition to the Jernigan Building, home to our campus student union. This project will update an aging facility and increase dining capacity by more than 40% to accommodate our growing residential campus. It will also provide lounge areas for our commuter students. Trevecca recently announced a new School of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math). The search for the first dean of STEM is already underway. Primary emphasis is being given to student life as a formative Christian experience. It matters how we eat, sleep, study, play and worship. Trevecca aims to form whole persons in the likeness of Jesus. Student financial aid will always be a pressing need. Our enrollment growth is outpacing our scholarship endowment, educational budget support and donor contributions. Saying “yes” to the next generation is how we fill the world with Christ-centered, educated servants. So we’re not finished. This is what’s next. And I hope your generosity will help make these goals possible too. Blessings,

Dr. Dan L. Boone (‘74)
