Volunteering—a great way to get involved! Spring is the season of volunteer recognition and 2016 is your chance to get better connected to your community as a valued volunteer. Volunteering is a great way to meet new people, gain valuable experience, have fun, and get involved. Whether you have a few hours or a few months to spare, we have some great opportunities for you. COQUITLAM 125 Be part of the City’s milestone celebration and help make history! Events throughout the year offer so many unique opportunities including Event Ambassadors, Logistics, Costume Developers, Make Up Artists and Production Assistants. We need writers and actors too to help capture and share the stories of this special year. Recreation Inclusion Coquitlam Parks, Recreation and Culture strives to include participants of all ability levels and attempts to provide volunteer assistance to those individuals who require additional support. On a clear evening, great views of the mountains to the north can be seen. Hike up to the Eagle Bluff viewpoint before traversing a new trail to Halvor Lunden and then down to Buntzen. Part two of the hike climbs up to the saddle and then follows the infrequently used trails of Sugar Mountain before returning to the start. Expect elevation change and steep sections. This is a moderately strenuous hike for fit hikers.
