GOLDEN HERITAGE DAYS FESTIVAL 3
4 GOLDEN HERITAGE DAYS FESTIVAL
Princeton Daily Clarion, Wednesday, September 13, 2017
Welcome! to the 37th Gibson County Chamber of Commerce Golden Heritage Days Festival!
M
any changes have been made to the festival over the years, but the location remains true to our Gibson County roots; the historic courthouse and town square. We thank the City of Princeton, Gibson County officials and their employees, without whom the location and functions of the festival would not be possible. In addition, we thank Princeton Fire Territory, Princeton Police Dept., Gibson County Sheriff’s Office and the residents of the county for their support of this festival. Festival patrons will enjoy a new sound system around the square, funded by donations from the Chamber of Commerce, Gibson County Economic Development, Downtown Princeton Inc., Gibson County Tourism Commission and Gibson County Commissioners. Local talent has provided us with a great lineup for entertainment! Five talented finalists compete for the first-ever Best One Tire “Voice” competition Saturday night as a new feature among three days of familyoriented fun. Carnival games, face painting, Family Time entertainment shows, puppet shows, Little Miss/Mini Miss Heritage Days, Princeton Public Library’s annual book sale, the City of Princeton 5K Walk/Run, Gibson County Habitat for Humanity Cover Gibson County Bicycle Ride, Habitat Dessert Auction, Scott Mason and the Headliners, Free Reign 2, Descent, The Change and Forged in Fire are just some of the entertainment in store.
New to the festival as well is Sunday morning Church on the Square starting at 10:30 a.m. Don’t forget to visit area merchants who are ready with their own brand of charm and a variety of products to choose from. A special thanks goes to all our Chamber members, event sponsors, super sponsors and the Heritage Days events committee for their continued support and guidance. Thank you, from the Gibson County Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors.
The Gibson County Chamber of Commerce has the “Gibsonopoly” bicentennial commemorative game, featuring local landmarks, available for sale at the chamber office on East Broadway in Princeton.
