GOLDEN HERITAGE DAYS FESTIVAL 5

ibson County Chamber of Commerce is proud host of the 38th annual Golden Heritage Days festival Sept. 21, 22, and 23 on the beautiful, historic downtown Princeton square! We appreciate all the community support in the months of planning needed to provide a festival that everyone can enjoy! We thank the City of Princeton, Gibson County officials and their employees, without whom the location and functions of the festival would not be possible. In addition, we thank Princeton Fire Territory, Princeton Police Dept., Gibson County Sheriff’s Office and the residents of the county for their support of this festival. Festival patrons will enjoy a new sound system around the square, funded by donations from the Chamber of Commerce, Gibson County Economic Development, Downtown Princeton Inc., Gibson County Tourism Commission and Gibson County Commissioners. We will be more interactive with the vendors and the crowd thanks to the new sound system. Local talent has provided us with a great lineup for entertainment! The First Financial Bank Art Show and the Best One Voice contest promises to feature some of the great talent we have in the fine arts and music arts genres. Carnival games, face painting, puppet shows, Little Miss/Mini Miss Heritage Days, Princeton Public Library’s annual book sale, the City of Princeton 5K Walk/Run, Gibson County Habitat for Humanity Cover Gibson County Bicycle Ride, Home Sweet Home Habitat Dessert

bake sale, Scott Mason and Hoosier Daddy, Free Reign 2, Descent, Wood and Wire, Moneka Fullop and Ray Ligon and the Southern Hollow Dulcimers are just a sampling of the fun and entertainment in store this year. New features this year include a mechanical bull, a whiffle ball tournament, a BBQ cook-off, the First Financial Bank Art Show, a 3 on 3 basketball tournament and a pro level and recreation level corn hole tournament. And, we’re bringing back the YMCA rock climbing wall again this year! For the second year we are bringing the Sunday morning Church on the Square starting at 10 a.m. to noon, and immediately following we will have the Home Sweet Home dessert bake sale. And a very special event at 1p.m. features the Gibson County Special Olympians in their own corn hole tournament! Don’t forget to visit area merchants who are ready with their own brand of charm and a variety of products to choose from. A special thanks goes to all our Chamber members, event sponsors, super sponsors and the Heritage Days events committee for their continued support and guidance. So, come on down and join in the celebration of Gibson County’s wonderful heritage at the Golden Heritage Days 2018! Thank you, Gibson County Chamber of Commerce
