I had to demonstrate my confidence and that I am totally happy being me.
2020 Goals I would like to achieve a global/international presence. I want to change the quality of life for each person I come in contact with and help them bring their dreams into reality. The Empowerment Zone with Kimberly Rashawn “You Can and You Will” Have you ever thought that the process to something is too much work, not worth it, or just tiring? Or how about you are being hit from so many directions (work, home, school, family, friends) that you do not want to get up again? Well, I am here to let you know “You Can and You Will” get back up again. Do you remember the story of the little blue engine that assisted another train by pulling it and its cargo up the mountain? Surrounded by doubt, the little blue engine blocks out the naysayers and encouraged herself as she pulled the other train and its cargo by saying, “I think I can. I think I can.” The little blue engine used words of affirmation and empowerment that provided her with the strength she needed to endure during this situation. She blocked out the naysayers around her, including herself and spoke positively which changed things around her. The same goes for us. We have to speak words of affirmation and empowerment in order to change our situation. In my book, What Made Me Love Me, I talk about changing our stinking thinking by renewing our mind. As we begin to change how we speak, we go from an “I never thought I could mentality” to an “I can and I will” mentality. Yes you can and you will overcome life’s obstacles, walk in your purpose, become debt free, find new employment, write your first book, start/finish school – whatever it is – you have the power to change your situation when you change how you view and/or speak about your situation. Today, make yourself a promise that you will take the necessary steps to begin renewing your mind. The first step is to begin speaking positively on a daily basis. As you do this, you will begin to see how your vocabulary will match your faith. ~Kimberly Rashawn

I first met, “Lydia Z.Enriquez” on the set of a local podcast station out of Dallas, Tx called Law & Disorder. I Had been asked to share my testimony and perform a small skit and Lydia was actually one of the actresses on set and we instantly became friends. We became Facebook friends and I instantly realized that she is one of the most hard-working women in the Film-Industry, and I just recently found out she has played on one of my favorite tv shows on Netflix called “Queen of the South” that was filmed here in Dallas. I knew I needed to get this interview quick because ladies and gentlemen there is no doubt that my talented friend will be among the stars in Hollywood soon. Also, me and Lydia had an Amazing opportunity to act together in the Independent film called “Harvest Gold “. So, here are the questions that I have been dying to know and i know if you are reading this article you are curious to know as well. Question #1 How old were you when you knew that you wanted to pursue acting? Lydia said: I was 7-8 years old - in the 2nd grade when I knew I wanted to be an actress.
Question #2 What was your very first acting gig? How many movies, commercials, etc… have you been in? Lydia said: My very first acting gig, was a stage play in the 2nd grade, where I played the role of “Queen of hearts”. But, professionally, my very first paid gig was a spot in a national commercial for the AD council. I’ve been in quite a few productions including, stage plays (My Favorite), such as, Real Women Have Curves @ TeCo Theater located in the Bishop Arts District in Dallas, along with Maiden of the used books @ Teatro Dallas. Film work includes, Un Hombre Violento 1&2, El Mano Negra: Don’t watch the News, with the most recent being, In Company; where I played a reality TV celebrity exploiting her dysfunctional Mexican-American family for her personal gain. I gave also been featured in a few episodes of the Tv show and on Netflix called Queen of the South. Question #3 If you could share a word of encouragement to someone that wants to follow the dream of pursuing the world of acting, what would you tell someone that may be following your career or reading this magazine column today? Lydia replied with astounding wisdom, First, make sure with all of your heart that acting or the arts is something that you really want to do, something that you can’t live without. Then, chase it with everything in you, knowing there will be many sacrifices you’ll have to make along the way. Passion has a cost, but a great reward. Always pray and keep GOD first. I’m Terry Baker Mulligan and I was born in New York City. I’m an author, a former teacher, a mother and wife who moved to the Midwest the day after I got married. I’m a fan of the travel writer and speaker Rick Steves. A New York Times article by Sam Scott (3/24/19) states that “Steves wants us to travel because it’s fun, yes, but also because he believes that travel is so important that it might actually save the world.” I’m spotlighting my new book: THESE BOYS ARE KILLING ME TRAVELS AND TRAVAILS WITH SONS WHO TAKE RISKS. THESE BOYS is a travel memoir about my two son’s adventures while backpacking through 34 countries on 3 continents, separately and alone in 2001 and 2003. They emailed me as often as they could because I was so worried about them—often for very valid reasons. When I reread those emails in 2015, I felt they were worthy of a book.
I’m proud of the success of my first book, SUGAR HILL which I began writing in 1974. I worked on it off and on for over 30 years. It was published in 2012 and has won several awards. I am a Vibrational Medicine Practitioner, Shamanic Healer, Spiritual Coach, Minister, and former school teacher of 16 years. My practice and passion are assisting people in aligning to their soul’s purpose and destiny. I have studied in the rainforest and high Andes of Peru for many years with my Shamanic teachers and my studies and life work has taken me to Spain for Shamanic Pilgrimages. My book is a memoir of direct experiences and personal testimonies. I answered a powerful spiritual calling in April of 2007. When I walked through this new doorway, I had no idea that God was going to launch me into a kaleidoscope of adventures into the unseen worlds. It was here that I witnessed profound and supernatural events of Biblical proportions. I was reminded that we hold God’s extraordinary light within our hearts and this light is unlimited. When we tap into and align to God’s divine light held within each of us, we experience the wholeness of our divinity.
Life was not always smooth and easy. I come from a large family of 9 and we hit hard times throughout my young life. I learned survival techniques that kept my head above water. After a fail marriage due to alcoholism, I realized that God had a bigger plan for me. I came full circle to the realization that my former life set me up and prepared me to be a strong and empowered woman. A calling beaconed me in to the Powers to Be. I jumped and witnessed the greatest mystery of God’s essence. There would be no turning back as my eyes had opened and God revealed my life’s purpose and destiny. My book was divinely guided and channeled through the Powers to Be. My prayer and intention are for our entire world to become a witness and observer of the personal events that I was taken through and how this shaped my life. I want people to understand that they too can achieve extraordinary phenomena in their lives when they get out of their way. My passion is to lead the world back to their divinity with the realization that there is no separation. We are the embodiment of God’s consciousness and this consciousness is unlimited in its intelligence.
