Cover Spotlight Author Kristin Stewart Kaufman “I believe we are here for three primary reasons: to teach, to learn, and to serve….all held together by that glue called Love.” ~ Kristin Stewart Kaufman Kristin is the founder of Alignment, Inc. ® a unique consultancy formed in 2007 to help individuals, corporations, board of directors and other similar groups find alignment within themselves and their organizations. She’s brought this expertise to hundreds of people since establishing Alignment, Inc®. Some of her clients include Baylor Healthcare System, Accenture, Hewlett-Packard, Smith & Nephew, Frito-Lay, IDEA Public Schools, Boys and Girls Clubs of America, Mercy Health, and many others. Kristin brings over 25 years of corporate experience to bear, including executive positions at HewlettPackard, Vignette Corporation, and United Health Group. At HP, Kristin was the General Manager of the channels and partner program that supported Hewlett-Packard's largest corporate accounts. This business represented a $3 billion revenue stream for Hewlett-Packard. Serving as Worldwide Channels Vice-President on the Executive Committee of Vignette Corporation, a $250 million publicly traded, software – company; her team built the global infrastructure for multi-channels of distribution for their software solution. In her first departure from traditional ‘corporate America’, Kristin was asked to join the NYC Leadership Academy effort, which was the centerpiece of the New York City Children First reform agenda. New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg and Chancellor Joel Klein sponsored this agenda; lead by CEO ‘Robert E. Knowling Jr.’ The goal of this reform was to create a system of outstanding schools where every child and teacher has access to effective teaching and learning. Kristin was chosen as one of two private sector business executives, to teach, train, and coach the 1,200 principals of the NYC public school system and the top 100 executives on the Chancellor's staff. This three-year experience was the initial catalyst for Kristin forming Alignment, Inc. ®
Her last executive position in corporate America was as Group Vice President of United Health Group. This appointment leveraged her strong knowledge of the technology business and how to leverage multiple channels to market in the increasingly complicated world of healthcare and healthcare insurance. Kristin provided expertise for its go-to-market strategies, defined and created alternative channels to improve organic growth, and implemented sales effectiveness methodologies across all segments within United Health Group. Kirstin is a prolific writer. Kristin’s first book was ‘Is This Seat Taken?’ ‘Random Encounters That Change Your Life,’ was released on 11/1/11 to national acclaim, and endorsed by Stephen Covey and John Maxwell, among others. Her second book in the series of ‘Is This Seat Taken?’ is entitled ‘It’s Never Too Late to Find the Right Seat’ was released in January, 2015. It has been endorsed by notables such as Marshall Goldsmith, Sean Covey, and Doug Parker, CEO of American Airlines. This book shines the light on late in life reinvention and encore ‘second half’s’ of diverse individuals. The individuals are in some cases widely known and others are somewhat anonymous to the mass public. The common thread is their ‘post-50’ resurgence in life and in some cases their ‘fork in the road’ is quite serendipitous. Kristin’s third book, in the ‘Is This Seat Taken?’ trilogy Released October 8, 2019. Author “I have written three books in the “Is This Seat Taken®” book trilogy. I speak around the world on these books along with other topics relative to my company: Alignment, Inc. Kristin Kaufman’s Books include: Book #1 - Is This Seat Taken? ® Random Encounters That Change Your Life If you think incidental meetings are incidental – think again. No matter how much we plan as executives, leaders and individuals, the random encounter opens up unforeseen opportunities. Lessons and perspectives on leadership, alignment and the power found in the present moment are discussed and made real through actual stories from Kristin’s widely acclaimed book. Kristin’s book, endorsed by notable leadership gurus such as Stephen Covey, Ken Blanchard, and Noel Tichy, will come alive on stage and have your audience thinking about their everyday moments from a different perspective. Whether the audience is a group of power house executives, type A sales professional, or individuals needing a bit of inspiration, Kristin’s content will ring true to the soul in each of us. Book #2 - Is This Seat Taken? ® It’s Never Too Late to Find the Right Seat This book and keynote is designed for those individuals who have come to a fork in the road, chosen a path, and found themselves twenty to thirty (or more) years later in a destination they didn't quite recognize. The stories are relevant for anyone; at any age, at any station in life that has awakened and wondered what they are going to do next or how will they move forward. The examples offer hope, inspiration, and applicable lessons as derived from the lives of well-known and not-so-famous men and women who found new and unexpected success - by many definitions - late in life. The message will light a spark - whether you are twenty-five or sixty-five - to take back the reins of your life and become clear on exactly what you are going to do now and how you wish to contribute to the world. The music has not stopped, and there is still time to find your seat.
Book #3 - Is This Seat Taken? ® No, I Saved It for You. This book is the last in the trilogy in the Is This Seat Taken? ® Series. This book and associated, keynotes shares a collection of stories which focus on diverse individuals and their experiences who have served as Kristin’s teachers; these experiences vary from the beautiful and the empowering, of the side-splitting humorous, to the crushing and difficult; Yet, the common aspect is that they ‘Providentially’ have taught Kristin lessons, which she vulnerably and authentically shares with her audience. This talk is a compilation of the entire book series focusing on being present in the moment, being awake to learn from all experiences in our lives, and how all these stories factor into our individual quest toward alignment – professionally and personally. The book, and her keynote, wrap up with a few suggestions – which are highlighted in the thought and activity guide at the end of the book – for each person to take the reins of their lives. When we asked Kristin what she would you like to achieve in 2020, she said – quote “I want to continue to stretch, grow, and serve. If I do this well and with purity of intention – the rest will come.”

The Empowerment Zone with Kimberly Rashawn
“LIVE… Pursue Your Purpose” Last month, we talked about “Moving Forward” and we wrote what we needed to let go of in order to move forward. We positioned ourselves to listen to God for directions, insight, broken areas of our life that require healing, areas/people that we exert forgiveness, etc. This month we will talk about – “LIVE… Pursue Your Purpose” and how our purpose reflects our dash. Before my dad died, he showed me a copy of my goals I had written in eighth grade. My goals were precise of being a school teacher and a model. Times changed and so did my goals. I let people talk me out of being a school teacher and being a model really was not an option since I am under 5’ 5”. Back then I did not have much drive and swayed back and forth with my goals – what I wanted to be when I grew up. The problem was my direction was obscured by focusing on my goals, and all the long, God wanted me to walk in my purpose. When I answered my calling to serve in ministry in 1998, I began to understand my purpose – to empower others. Over the years, I have founded several avenues to empower others (Spirt Led 2 B Human Fed Ministry, T.R.A.I.N. Our Youth Program, Fostering Change Foundation). Seasons changed and I was sent to my next assignment, but my purpose never changed. Then due to life’s blows, I stopped walking in my purpose around the end of 2013. I tried to pick up the pieces several times, but the pain and agony of everything occurring around me made me feel like a failure. Then January 2017 things began to change. I was in such a depressed state of mind and heart that I was not living, but instead merely existing. One day I cried out to God that I could not take the pain anymore, how sorry I was for failing Him, that my “yes” from years ago should not have been dictated on only my ups, and how I desperately needed Him to take the pain away. I sent a text message to a few people that I was backkkk. I was kind of back and forth with my feelings, not as depressed, and experiencing my healing because I finally decided to stop holding onto the pain like a security blanket. A few months later God spoke a word to me – fierce. I began research the word and then God said, “Fierce women’s empowerment movement” which has been the mechanism that changed my life. F.I.E.R.C.E. Women’s Empowerment Movement has been commissioned to empower women across the nations, serves as an avenue to empower women, and provides a support system of resources for life’s daily encounters the might have women questioning life. We empower women to be bold, ferocious, empowered, inspired, and purpose-driven and also teach strategies to live a Fearless
Innovative Empowered Resilient Confident Exuberant (F.I.E.R.C.E.) lifestyle. After starting the movement, God positioned me to write my first book, What Made Me Love Me: Six Strategies to Live F.I.E.R.C.E., telling my life story of overcoming self-hatred, developing self-love, and living a F.I.E.R.C.E. lifestyle. Wowwww, after over three years of living in a self-made bubble, I was back to pursue my purpose. According to Google Dictionary, pursue is defined as “(of a person or way) continue or proceed along (a path or route).” Pursuing our purpose is so important because we were created for purpose. Jeremiah 29:11 (King James Version) reads, “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.” God created us for purpose. Sometimes we have our own purpose (or goal) in mind as I did years ago. Some people know exactly what they want to be and they go after that from day one. The main thing to realize is, even if you get off track, God will position you right where you need to be to continue along the path of life. Years ago, I was attending a funeral and the person delivering the eulogy spoke about what are you going to do with your dash? He spoke about how we are born on one date and die on another date, but the dash in between those dates is what matters. Now, I am asking you – what will your dash represent? Did you walk in your purpose? Oftentimes, I hear people say they do not know what their purpose is, and that bothers me because God created us for purpose and with purpose. Everyone has not been called to the pulpit there are so many areas to serve. My first question to them is –what are you passionate about? Mrs. Fields took something that she loved doing and it turned into a multimillion-dollar business. What is that you need to pick back up in order to pursue your purpose or what is it that your need to start? Are you doing what represents your dash? As a personal development coach, I like to ask thought provoking questions that will have clients think about answers that will produce results. This month let’s look at our purpose and the list necessary steps to pursue our purpose. Things might have happened that resulted in dropping the ball (that’s life), but please do not stop living like I did. Now, you can pick up the pieces, LIVE, and proceed along the path to pursue your purpose. ~Kimberly Rashawn

Spotlight Beth Thater “My readers are those who want to live life full out. They are full of joy, passion, and stand in their truth and realize their full potential. They are curious, unlimited in their thinking, they know they are the Masters of their Destiny and refrain from playing small. I assist many in the service area. They are often an energy healing practitioner, coach, spiritual teacher, or those who want to make a difference in our world.” “I call them the Pave Wavers!” “My audiences are those who boldly step out, make no excuses, operate in the mindset of unconditional love, and have a deep desire to make a difference on our planet.” ~ Beth Thater Beth Thater has a strong belief system that we are unlimited Source energy. I AM the expression of God in Action. I am an energy medicine practitioner, Shamanic healer, Minister, and Spiritual Coach. My gifts and abilities opened up the moment Jesus came to me in April of 2007 and laid His hands upon me. There was such a deep activation and powerful inner transformation that took place through me from His presence. My natural perceptions are wide open, and I now assist others in revealing their greatest God qualities through activations of their divine Blueprints. I have the ability to energetically shift dense patterns held at the physical, emotional, and spiritual level. When asked what inspired her to write her book, she said, “I answered a divine calling that opened me up to the higher realms, heavens, and divinity held within my soul. I went through a series of direct experiences that open up my natural senses to the Powers to Be.” “I was shown that nothing is impossible with God. I was guided to write my book so that I could instill the fact that each of us holds unlimited source energy within the core of our souls. When you Unlock your potential, you will activate God’s power. I teach people how to Claim their Birthright and align them to their Soul’s Destiny.” “My intention is to plant seeds within their hearts and remind them that they are unlimited potential. I want people to view themselves with unconditional love as our Creator views them and to know that they are worthy. The past does not equal the future and so much more is waiting for you on the other side of your next chapter. Through my direct experiences, I was shown the unlimited possibilities of how God will show up in our lives when we get out of our way.”
Beth’s next book will reveal even more of my direct experiences with the higher realms and those who reside there. What this is like and how this has supported me in my spiritual journey and awareness. Beth’s Book can be found at Amazon.com You can follow or get in touch with Beth Thater at: www.UnlockYourSoulsPurpose.com, beththater@me.com When we asked Beth, “What is one thing you would tell others if they want to write?” She said, quote ~ “Just do it! What is the nugget of inspiration held within your story or experience and expand on this concept? You have a unique story to share and you never know whose life you could change and touch. Your story wants to be told. You will influence the world and open up minds. Get out of your way and allow the natural essence of your unique message to flow through. I was a bit apprehensive about writing the personal details within my book. It is the messages held within these experiences that will shift the reader’s perspective and their hearts.”
Spotlight LaSandra Collins “Every day is an opportunity to make a difference in the lives of others.”
~LaSandra Collins
LaSandra Collins is passionate about encouraging and inspiring others to see themselves as Christ sees them. Her mission is to build up and help others realized that they are everything our Heavenly Father says they are so that they can walk into their divine destiny. LaSandra’s motto is: “Every day is an opportunity to make a difference”. She believes this can be done through deeds and encouraging words. LaSandra resides in Spring, Texas with her husband and son. She enjoys spending time with her family, traveling and writing inspirational pieces. Some of her work has been featured in a play, “Faces in the Mirror” LaSandra has also written a book, “From A Christian Perspective Encouragement for Daily Living” which was published in February 2018. On June 22, 2019, LaSandra hosted her very first conference, “Free to Be Me”. On March 28, 2020, LaSandra will have The Power of Hope conference. At some point in our lives, each and everyone one of us will be faced with adversities and if we are not careful, we these challenges can cause us to question our faith and cause us to lose sight of God’s promises to us as believers. This conference is designed to encourage others to keep hope and faith in Lord regardless of what their life
circumstances look like. It will illustrate how I myself was faced with adversity and how I maintain my faith, hope and trust in God and overcame that challenge. This conference will be at the Hilton Gardens 7979 Willow Chase, Houston, TX 77070. Come join us. When we asked her to share with us something she overcome or all the success she had achieved; she shared this. “Back in 2006, I left my husband and my life as I knew it was in total chaos and turmoil. Little did I know that God had a plan for my husband and I. The first year of that separation, the Lord dealt with me individually, reveling to me where I went wrong in my relationship with Him and my husband. One day, while in church service, the Holy Spirit came upon me, while I was in communion with God, he told me my marriage would be okay. In 2008, my husband and I reconciled our and united back under one roof.
This past June, we celebrated our 23rd wedding
Anniversary. What I learned from that experience has been invaluable and I minister to married couples now encouraging them to put God in the mist or their relationship because they cannot maintain their marriage on their own strength.” In 2018 my goal was to publish my devotional book and I did. “From A Christian Perspective: Encouragement for Daily Living” can be downloaded for free by gong to Smashwords.com. In 2019, my goal was to host my first Conference and I accomplished that in June. It was a huge success to say I have no idea where to begin with even planning a conference.
God truly amazed me because I asked him to put the resources, I need in my path to help me with this conference and he did just that. I would have never imagined have a radio station air my conference live. I could have never imagined have 50 people in attendance, some who did not even know me or ever heard of me before me advertising this conference. All I can say is but God…
