Coming 2020

Cover Spotlight Kimberly Rashawn “Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, 'Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?' Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. You’re playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.” Kimberly Rashawn is a speaker, personal development coach, author, organizational development consultant, mentor, and radio personality. My style of coaching is different whereas I administer a self-reflective approach of empowerment for people to obtain wholeness in various aspects of their life. Kimberly Rashawn is a board-certified professional coach (BCPC), earned her Master’s degree in Education l Leadership, and author of the column, The Empowerment Zone, in Tribute Magazine. Since answering her calling to serve in ministry in 1998, Kimberly has hit the ground running and serves God with an adoration and passion that is contagious. She discovered her gifts of administration, teaching, working with youth, and empowering others to walk in their purpose during her time of training. In 2017, God gave Kimberly Rashawn a vision of a movement to impact women’s lives. F.I.E.R.C.E. Women’s Empowerment Movement has been established to empower women across the nation to provide a support system for women facing challenging moments in their life, foster friendships, strengthen the family unit, and serve the community. I am the founder and Executive Director of F.I.E.R.C.E. Women’s Empowerment Movement. F.I.E.R.C.E. is an acronym for Fearless Innovative Empowered Resilient Confident Exuberant.

The time finally arrived for Kimberly Rashawn to pen her life story of overcoming self-hatred and abuse, developing self-love, and living a F.I.E.R.C.E. lifestyle. Her self-published book, What Made Me Love Me: Six Strategies to Live F.I.E.R.CE., was published Fall 2018. Oftentimes, life hits us so hard that we become stagnant and feel inferior, unloved, and alone. In my first book, What Made Me Love Me, I provide strategies for readers to incorporate to live a Fearless Innovative Empowered Resilient Confident Exuberant lifestyle. It is my goal and purpose to teach women how to live a F.I.E.R.C.E. lifestyle. Back cover of What Made Me Love Me… Have you been broken and depleted due to self-hatred? Has the sting from life left you wondering about your existence, worth, and purpose? What Made Me Love Me takes readers on a journey of self-empowerment by renewing their mind and learning self-love. This powerful journey of selfempowerment is reinforced by developing the six strategies to live a F.I.E.R.C.E. lifestyle. This interactive book will transform your current mindset and empower you think outside the box. The F.I.E.R.C.E. lifestyle strategies are incorporated in a manner to empower you to fulfill your dreams and walk in your purpose. Kimberly Rashawn uses occurrences from her life story to encourage readers that their past does not dictate their future. After completing this book, you will definitely be empowered by the memory Scripture, “I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me,” to overcome the pain of your past and embrace your purpose. Grab a mirror, this book, and a pen and get ready to be empowered to change the status quo of your life. The main thing I have overcome is the lack of self-love. Due to certain family members not loving me when I was younger, I developed low self-esteem and felt that if my own family did not love me, no one else did. I questioned others’ love for me and even God’s love for me until I realized my mind had been twisted to hate myself. In my early twenties, I attempted to commit suicide due to the pressures of life. My book, What Made Me Love Me, was written from my life story to help readers learn to develop self-love. Developing self-love helped me with my battle with depression. What would you like to achieve in 2020? The year of 2020 will be one of enhanced vision for many. This year (2019) has been a year of reflection and wondering what Is next for me. In 2020, it my goal to develop a coaching arena to help businesses look at their organization in a way that help it develop in various aspects. I have been positioning myself for stepping outside of the box and walking in my purpose in new arenas. #NeverGiveUp is my motto. When I think about my suicide attempt, I think about how I was in such a dark place and I wanted it to end. Later I began to develop a deeper relationship with God and repented for underestimating His value of my life. The greatest gift God gave us was life and how dare I attempt to take that away. Now, I encourage everyone I meet to #NeverGiveUp. It is imperative that we understand our purpose and that is what I plan to do… walk in my purpose and teach others their purpose. While writing What Made Me Love Me, I stumbled across a quote by Colette Warden that reads, “It’s ok if you fall down and lose your spark. Just make sure when you get back up, you rise as the whole dame fire.” This quote speaks volumes to resiliency as well as my motto to Never Give Up. As the founder of T.R.A.I.N. Our Youth Program, a part of my mentoring strategy was to have the girls reflect on the poem, Our Deepest Fear by Marianne Williamson. When I first heard this poem, I was amazed and astonished, and I still use it as a mechanism to empower others. It is mentioned in my book, What Made Me Love Me, and I hope it blesses and empowers you as well.

Co-author Spotlight Cassandra Davies “All journeys are Sacred.” ~ Cassandra Davies My name is Cassandra Davies. I am the author of the (yet to be completed) book titled, A Guardian Speaks - One woman's journey of transforming the badge. Guardians Speak is my Face book page and podcast. “I wanted my story to illustrate to people that, no matter who they are forgiveness is the only salve for their pain.” “Trauma/pain is what we use to justify wrong-doing. It is time for us to heal ourselves. Healing frees us to be, and experience more love, joy, and compassion in our lives.” We also asked, “What do you want the readers to take away from reading your story? “That with forgiveness; there arises the compassion of the soul because it is a natural capability. Holding on to painful events and the feelings of hate or resentment, a need for revenge, is not only dangerous to the body; it is harmful to our mental health and ultimately, our souls.”

I believe this power comes from our shared human experience, our desire for connection and our longing to know that we are not alone in our struggles and triumphs. Addiction is a multi-dimensional affliction. Its destructive power does not begin and end with the addict; the ripple effects can be felt through generations. Despite this fact, love conquers all.” “I really want readers to understand the complexity of addiction from a familial perspective; Maybe to hold their judgments lightly and not rush to a conclusion. I would also like to leave the readers with a sense of hope.” “Be the change you wish to see in the world.” ~Gandhi “A mindset of abundance is the single biggest factor in determining your success in any area. Co-author Spotlight Ann Anderson Romans 8:28. “And we know that all things work together for the good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.”

My name is Ann Anderson. However, I was born in Houston, Texas as Louann Denise Wilson, the oldest of seven children. My family moved away from there when I was about seven years and I was raised in Shreveport Louisiana. Everything that I am doing today, I stumbled into it. Today, I am Amazon best-selling #1 author of the novel about my life called “Butterfly Uprising." I have coauthored six other books/anthologies, been in numerous magazine articles, podcast, radio interviews, and featured in the two other books between Louisiana and Texas. Now, what I am most proud of is serving as a successful certified Women's Holistic Life Coach. My personal self-development women's coaching program is called "60 Plus And Powerful." It was also derived from my book "Butterfly Uprising." 60 Plus And Powerful is designed to help women sixty plus as well women who are 35, 45, 55 and who approaching their sixties. And who wants to up level their game regarding their inner and outer temple and not allow their mirror, clocks or calendar determine their ages or how they choose to show up in the world. I chose to share my story because I wanted other women who had similar experiences to see someone who had overcome the same tragedy, they had but was still thriving. Who chose not to be silent or remain a victim, but who was victorious and someone who had designed a wonderful, blessed, abundant life for herself void of any type of abuse in spite of her heinous past.

I want others to know That to be self-aware is one of the greatest blessing or gifts that you can choose to give yourself. We all have a past, a story to tell. And we’ve all gone through things or had bad things to happen to us. But that is not who or what we are, but just what happened to us. What we went through. We are not defined by it and it doesn’t have to be the end of our lives. And that the things that God blessed you to overcome was for you to be able to help someone else to find their voices and the strength to tell their own story.

Spotlight Laisha Dharni “Just start writing!!! Pour your thoughts and ideas on paper, something beautiful will surely come out of it. It may take a little while, but remember: Never Give Up!” ~Laisha Dharni

Laisha Dharni is a lively 13-year-old with a vivid imagination, she says, laughingly. We asked Laisha what inspired her to write her book, and she responded; “I have always been interested in reading; In fact, I started reading at an early age of 4.” “This particular story started off as a short story when I was about 10 years old and my parents inspired me to write, and expand on the thought.”

We also asked Laisha what she would like for others to take away from her book and she kindly responded. “I would like the readers to feel like a part of the book and travel along with the characters, and experience the joys of the team play and enjoy their many adventures.” “This book is about four friends at school; I think kids aged 7 through 14 would enjoy the book.” “I also hope that older people also read the book and enjoy the adventures that the characters experience, and maybe inspire them to motivate their kids to write.” When asking her if she was planning another book, she cheerfully said, “Yes, hopefully, in the future an idea would inspire me to write some more.”

Laisha Dharni’s book is available for digital download on Kindle and can also be ordered as a paperback edition from Amazon.

Laisha would love to hear from you at: laishadharni@gmail.com or you can follow her on Facebook at: https://m.facebook.com/LaishaDharni/
