A LARGE ANI. WELL-FURNISHED GYMNASIUM has been erected on the College Grounds for the PHYSICAL TRAINl 'G AND MUSCULAR DEVELOPMENT of the Students. This Department IS under the supervision of EXPEHIENCED GUINASTS, SERGEANT-MAJORS CHAumRs AND EMMOTT. While nothing is left undone to impart to the Pupilsa SOUND Ll'1'~;RARY AND SCIENTIFIC EDUCATIO " the RI!:LIGIOUS and MORAL 'l'RAlNING of the Students receive sl'ecial attention. The only Ieligious observance required from non-Catholic Boarders IS presence at morning and night prayers, when each boy can say his own particular prayers. They are neither taken to Chureh on Sundays nor are their religious opinions interfered with in any way.

A VEIn CAREFULLY SELECTED LIBRARY is provided for the Students. The course of studies includes :-Reading, Writing, Geography, l£nglish Grammar and Literature, History, Arithmetic, Euclid, Algebra, Mensuration, 'T'rigonometry, Applied Mathematics, Book-ke~ping; F.r-ench, Latin, Greek, Chemistry, Physics, l£locution, Vocal and Instrumental Music, Model, Freehand, and Mechallical Drawing, Geology, Typewriting, Shorthand, etc. Pupils are prepared for the UNIVERSITY PRIMARY, JU1\"IOR, SENIOR, HIGHER PUBLIC and MATRICULATION EXAMINATIONS, for the W.A. GOVERNMENT SCHOLARSHIP EXAMINATIONS, and for the UNIVERSITY EXHIBITIONS. Advanced Students will be specially prepared for the great national prize, "THE RHODES SCHor,ARSHIP," £300 a year for three years in Oxford. The School Hours are from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., including one hour (from 12.30 p.m. to 1.30 p.m.) for dinner. School for half-day on Saturdays. The Vacations are: Two weeks at Midwinter, and "even weeks at Midsummer. The TeI11l days for the year commence on or about the 2nd February, 14th April, 14th July, and 1st October. The Scholastic year is so divided as to have eleven weeks in three of the terms, and ten weeks in the remaining term.

Cutlery, Table and Bed Linen are provided free of cost at the College. An allowance of 10 per cent. is made for brothers. Resident Boarders are charged five shillings (5s) per quarter for sporting expenses and for use of the College Library. An allowance is made for boys who enter, for fIrst time, after the beginning of the term. are charged only for the portion of the term which has to run after the date of admission.

Parents of Boardel's, when calling to see their sons, should try to do so outside class hours, The bebt time is 4,15 p.m, It, is very detl'imental to the acl.vmlcement of the Scholars to ask them out durillg school hours.

Parents living in the country should not authorise their friends who may be on a visit to Perth to take their children out. This is a very important rule. Each Boar'der should be pl'(lVided with tIle following :-6 shids, 6 collal's, 2 pailS pyjamas, 6 pairs socks, 6 handkerchiefs, 1 better suit, 2 sl'llool suits, 1 ovel'coat, 3 neckties, 2 hats, 1 GH.p, 1 pail' sand shoes, 2 pairs boots, 1 hair brush and comb, 1 clothes hrush, 1 tooth brush, b towels, and 1 sel'viette ring with name engraved. Every article must be marked with the name in full and the initials (C,B,C,), and a list attached to the inside of each trunk. Special attention is called to this point, Medical attendar.ce, when needed, repairs to clothing, school reyuisites and postage are charged to Pupils.

N.B.-Boarders are always nnder sb-iet supervision. They al'e nevel' allowed alone in the dormitories, class-rooms, or recreation grounds. They are not permitted to lea-ye the precincts of the College, except under charge of one of the Christian Brothers; however, a half an hour is allowed them on Saturday afternoon to spend their pocket money, They are taken to see sports and outdoor entertainments regularly.
