The Titan Fund Gifts to the Titan Fund provide critical income that bridges the gap between the Endowment and tuition. Because Titan Fund gifts are unrestricted; they are applied to the School’s many budgeted expenses such as faculty support, technology expenses, trip fees, student activities, and building and grounds maintenance. Anyone may contribute to the Titan Fund, which encompasses unrestricted donations made during a fiscal year (July 1 through June 30 of the following calendar year). Gifts can be made via cash, check, credit card, or stock transfer. You also may use our secure online giving link by visiting www.trinitynola.org.
o r G e d n n i e k gruthful, t rave b & Endowed Gifts Your gift to the Endowment reflects your commitment to help Trinity progress beyond excellent to extraordinary. We are happy to assist you in helping to identify an area of need within the Endowment that most resonates with your interest— such as student scholarships, faculty development, endowed chairs, or other areas that support Trinity’s mission.
You may pledge to make a contribution to the Endowment over a period of several years, and payments can be scheduled to meet your needs. Typically, they are completed within a five-year period. Multi-year pledges offer significant tax advantages. Planned Gifts A planned gift is any gift given for any amount, given for any purpose such as operations, capital expansion, or endowment. A gift’s use can be immediate or deferred. In addition, it includes any gift that is carefully considered by a donor in light of estate and financial plans. They provide income, are an excellent way to give, and their flexibility makes them popular. How does a Planned Gift work? You transfer assets such as cash, securities, or other appreciated property to Trinity Episcopal School. The School then invests the assets and pays you and/or your designee an income for life or, if you choose, for a term of up to 20 years. You are encouraged to choose how the remainder of the gift will be used.
Examples of Planned Giving: 1. Property—When appreciated property is used, you will be relieved of capital gains tax. Property gifts also enhance your estate by helping you increase cash flow, reduce taxes, and avoid the cost of probate. This type of gift offers numerous tax-wise options. For instance, you can give real estate: a residence, summer home, or farm while retaining the use of it for the rest of your life. 2. Life Insurance—Life insurance can also be a simple and flexible approach to make a significant contribution to Trinity. A life insurance policy is an excellent tool for charitable giving because not only does it allow you to make a substantial donation to charity at no cost to you, but you may also benefit from tax rules that apply to gifts of life insurance.
