On the first Sunday of each month, Trinity hosts a hot breakfast and ‘Trinity Talk’ on a specific theme, with small group activities and table discussion.

FIRST S U N D AY at T R I N I T Y Special Worship for Advent A Celtic Advent Wednesday, December 18 5:30pm - 7:30pm Meet in Bishop Polk Hall Advent in the Celtic tradition actually begins on November 15 and lasts for 40 days. Come find out why over dinner with a program that highlights the rich Celtic spiritual tradition that is part of our Christian and Anglican heritage. The evening will close with a quiet Celtic service as we prepare for the celebration of the arrival of Jesus in our midst.

A Liturgy of Light in the Darkness Thursday, December 19 6:00pm in the Church Chancel Holidays are not always times of joy, and this beautiful, candlelit liturgy of Holy Eucharist honors that reality. All are invited and welcome, but people who are grieving a loss of any kind are particularly invited and encouraged to participate. This service is followed by a reception in the Board Room.

9:15am, ‘Trinity Talk’ on #ADVENTure Led by our Children’s and Family ministry director, Ashley Bond, learn how to use the Godly Play method to inspire family storytelling at home. After church, materials will be available to create your own Advent Story.

Sunday Morning Formation Hour Trinity Forum Sunday, December 8 9:15am in Bishop Polk Hall On the secondSunday of the month, Trinity will host a continental breakfast and forum, connected to the First Sunday theme. On December 8, the Reverend Andrew R. Thayer will explore the birth narrative of Jesus and how it informs the rest of the Gospel. There is no Trinity Forum on Sunday, December 15, 22 or 29.

12 Steps are for Everyone December 1, 8, 15, 22 and 29 9:15am in the Board Room Participants discuss the effectiveness of the 12 steps of recovery as a process for spiritual growth.

Children, Youth & Families “What child is this? . . . whom angels greet with anthems sweet, while shepherds watch are keeping. . .” Nursery Care (Infant - 3 years) Sundays, 9:00am - 12:00pm Godly Play Sundays at 10:15am, in age-specific classroom Children 24 months to 5th grade are invited to join their peers on Sunday mornings for Godly Play, an imaginative way of telling the stories of the Bible using multi-sensory materials and presented “chronologically” and in sync with the liturgical year. There is no Godly Play on Sunday, December 29.

The Feast of St. Nicholas Spaghetti Supper and Cookie Decorating Wednesday, December 4 5:30pm - 7:30pm in Bishop Polk Hall Share a meal, hear the story of St. Nicholas, and decorate cookies to be distributed to the community through the Trinity Loaves and Fishes ministry.

EY-Seedlings (4th-5th graders) Friday, December 6 6:00pm - 8:00pm at Molly’s House 4th and 5th graders will come together for a meal and soap making for Christmas gifts.

Rite-13 Afternoon Sunday, December 1 3:30pm - 5:00pm at Molly’s House Rite-13 (6th - 8th graders) Sundays, 10:15am at Molly’s House December 8 and 15 The beginning phase of the Journey to Adulthood (J2A) youth program is called Rite-13, a name that comes from a liturgical rite of passage to celebrate with young people around their 13th birthday.

Cyber Seniors Sundays, 11:45am in the School Library December 1 and 8 A student-led ministry where high school youth provide one-on-one technology assistance.

Spiritual Seekers Discussion Group Sunday, December 8, 7:00pm - 8:15pm in the Board Room Explore some of the biggest questions of faith, informed by short readings from recent theologians.
