The season of Epiphany lasts four to nine weeks, beginning on the Feast of the Epiphany (January 6) through the Tuesday (Mardi Gras) before Ash Wednesday. The length of the season varies according to the date of Easter.

FIRST S U N D AY at T R I N I T Y On the first Sunday of each month, Trinity hosts a hot breakfast and ‘Trinity Talk’ on a specific theme, with small group activities and table discussion.

We Make the Way by Walking . . . Beloved Community Supper and Discussion Wednesday, January 15 6:00pm - 8:00pm in Bishop Polk Hall Join the Vestry and Staff for dinner to share stories of our personal journey towards Racial Reconciliation and the Beloved Community. Parishioners are especially invited to share their experiences with Trinity Undoing Racism activities over the past twenty years. Trinity Church and School MLK Jr. Day of Service Monday, January 20 9:30am - 12:00pm Gather in the Circle Drive Trinity Church and School communities will gather for a family-friendly day of service! The morning begins in the Circle Drive with a community “walk about” to help clean our neighboring area. After returning to campus, participants will decorate lunch bags and pack meals for the Trinity Loaves and Fishes feeding ministry. Nursery Care (Infant - 3 years) Sundays, 9:00am - 12:00pm Godly Play Sundays at 10:15am, in age-specific classroom The Baptism of our Lord Celebration Sunday, January 12 10:30am Holy Eucharist On Sunday, January 12, the Church celebrates the Baptism of Jesus. All who have been baptized in 2019 are invited to return this Sunday to be recognized, and "remember the light" of their Baptism. There will be a special coffee hour reception following the service.

Children 24 months to 5th grade are invited to join their peers on Sunday mornings for Godly Play, an imaginative way of telling the stories of the Bible using multi-sensory materials and presented “chronologically” and in sync with the liturgical year.

EY-Seedlings (4th - 5th graders) Friday, January 10 6:00pm - 8:00pm at Molly’s House 4th and 5th graders will come together for a meal and a white elephant gift exchange.

Rite-13 (6th - 8th graders) January 12 and 19 Sundays, 10:15am at Molly’s House The beginning phase of the Journey to Adulthood (J2A) youth program is called Rite-13, a name that comes from a liturgical rite of passage to celebrate with young people around their 13th birthday.

Junior EYC (5th - 7th graders) Games and Gospel on Sunday, January 26 3:00pm - 5:00pm at Molly’s House Cyber Seniors Sundays, January 5 and 12 11:45am in the School Library A student-led ministry where high school youth provide one-on-one technology assistance.

12 Steps Are for Everyone January 5, 12, 19 and 26 9:15am in the Board Room Participants discuss the effectiveness of the 12 steps of recovery as a process for spiritual growth.

Faith and Fiction January 12, 19 and 26 9:15am in the Parish House (Doesn’t meet on First Sundays)

Out and About: Louisiana Children's Museum Wednesday, January 15 11:00am - 2:00pm Tour the newly opened Louisiana Children's Museum, with all that makes you want to be a child again!
