YEAR 2011 IN REVIEW
Compiled by Jonathan Annobil, Toronto
The Year 2011 that has just passed was one that was very eventful for our community and the Land of Our Birth. There were joyful moments, historic moments, dramatic moments and sad moments. They ranged from an
official census exercise to find out the population levels in Ghana, and the honour of a Presidential visit of the Ghanaian President to Canada. The Year also witnessed high achievements by some of our community members in various fields of endeavour culminating in the hosting of the eleventh edition of the prestigious Ghanaian-Canadian Awards Night in September 2011. And the year also witnessed the sad passing of a number of our community members including the Ghana High Commissioner to Canada. We highlight below some of these moments and events we recorded over the Year 2011. JANUARY
