For Patrons with Mobility Impairments Trinity Rep is accessible for patrons

using wheelchairs, walkers, canes or crutches.

Ample doorways, handrails in theater aisles, elevator service to the stage level of the Chace Theater, and conveniently located accessible restrooms make it easy to enjoy a performance at our theater.

Removable seating in both the Chace and the Dowling Theaters allow patrons to be seated with their companions while sitting in a wheelchair. Aisle seats are also available for those who wish to transfer to a theater seat. Please inform the ticket sales representative of your needs at the time of ticket purchase and indicate whether companion seats are required.

For Patrons with Hearing Impairments Open Captioned Performances

Trinity Rep offers a number of open-captioned performances during the regular season. Open captioning seats are available for $22. To purchase tickets, call or visit the Trinity Rep box office.

Open Captioning is live text displayed simultaneous to the performance on an LED screen at the front of the theater. As opposed to closed captioning, open captions do not require the user to have any special equipment for viewing the text and are always “open” to anyone. The next open captioning performance this season is: Oliver!

For Patrons with Sensory Sensitivity A Sensory-Friendly Performance

will be offered of A Christmas Carol on Saturday, November 9, 2013 at 2:00PM. All seats are $22. Sensory-friendly performances are designed to create a theater experience that is welcoming to children and adults with sensory input disorders, autism, or other developmental, cognitive and physical disabilities and their families and caretakers.

Assistive Listening Devices, which

allow patrons to increase the volume of the performance to a comfortable level, are available free of charge. Both theaters feature new infra-red systems with hand-held receivers, and are available with headphones or neck loops (for patrons using a hearing aid with a “T” switch). Assistive Listening Devices (headphones or loops) are available in the downstairs lobby, Box Office, or from the House Manager.

ASL-Interpreted

Trinity Rep offers a number of ASL-interpreted performances of their annual production of A Christmas Carol each season with additional ASL-Interpreted performances as scheduled below: Oliver!
