Successful candidates gain: Certificate of Higher Education Skills for the Workplace (Health & Social Care)
This program will equip students for various job opportunities in the public and private health and social care environment with a focus on adult and child care. For instance, residential or nursing homes, domiciliary care, clinical health settings and day care centres. Students will be able to take up roles such as, Care Assistant, Family Support Worker, Community Worker and Teaching Assistant.
Entry criteria: we are interested in creative people that demonstrate a strong commitment to their chosen subject area and therefore we welcome applications from individuals from a wide range of backgrounds. The applicants will have to
pass the written test and the interview with one of our academics in order to be accepted onto the programme.
The programme is specifically created in its content and flexible delivery to give you the confidence to anticipate problems and find solutions, to work independently and with other people, to plan things out before you start and complete the things you've started, in short to develop the skills that employers want!
