THIS YEARS EVENTS Come and experience the atmosphere of being in a Chinese community, we welcome and include everyone.
1 Blind Dating During freshers, you will fill a questionnaire about yourself. We will then find you a match and send the location and time for you to meet up. It could be a spot on campus, a bookshop or a bench on Stephen's Green. You will know nothing about whom you're going to meet beforehand, you can only find out in person.
2 Karaoke nights out( dice, card games) Typically, Chinese students will rent a private room in a ktv bar when they go out. Dice and card games, 狼人杀 are played to loosen the atmosphere. When everyone has got into the swing of things, they chat among themselves or sing their hearts out.
3 Chinese New Year The biggest event of the year, it will take place in both Trinity Halls and campus. Â Make your own dumplings, write Chinese calligraphy coupletswhich you can stick to your door to bring luck and happiness to those in your apt, and stuff yourself with food! Red packets with lucky money will also be handed out^
4 Talks, group discussions,debates

Topics include - How to survive in modern China, rules and culture differences, introduction to the history of China.
Go and tea tasting Friendly Go matches alongside with hot brewed tea in a warm, comfortable environment.
6 Mandarin Classes Those who are currently learning Chinese or want to start Chinese, we offer Mandarin Classes every week based on demand. We focus on the fun, oral aspect of the language, through role play, games and comedy shows. It may help prepare you if you're going to China in the future (how to call a taxi and give directions, how to bargain, how to hook up locals ;-) We also have an active TCD Wechat group, if you're looking to improve your reading and writing skills you can join the discussion through the following steps below:Â
