WELCOME FRESHERS Freshers Week has always been the best week of the year for students, and with TES it's no different. We have some fantastic stuff organised for all of you including free food, great membership deals and an awesome membership pack. During the week we’ll be running a TES Apprentice Competition, with the winners announced at our famous TES Freshers Night out. Last year we had over 1500 Freshers sign up and for good reason! With free t-shirts, free Dropbox storage, Hailo and UBER taxi vouchers, free crèpes and some pizza thrown in there too you were all kept well-fed and happy out! This year will be no different! We've even decided to add in an extra event to make Freshers' Week that bit more enjoyable for all of you.

“STARTING A BUSINESS OFF WITH A BANG IS THE WAY THAT I DO THINGS” - NIALL MCGARRY Welcome to all Fresher's and continuing students!

(FOUNER OF JOE.IE AND HER.IE)

I'm Liana and I'll be TES's new president for 2015-2016 for the 10th year anniversary since TES first began! I'm honoured that you're interested in joining TES! TES has the aim of driving entrepreneurship and innovation in Trinity, and I hope that you'll find it to be a great resource!

On the weekend of Friday October 3rd to Sunday October 5th, we have an entrepreneurship weekend, called Idea Starter Weekend, where people can get into teams and work on fintech (finance-technology) projects, which is the latest area to get into!

During the rest of the year, we will organise TES Startup Workshops, which guide you along the process of starting a business and include relevant knowledge that you need for starting a business. We also have new updated website! It now contains a jobs board to let you know all about the latest job positions/internships which may be of interest to you! We will also be writing regular blog posts about our events, as well all the latest news from Irish startups. Sign up to TES for €2 any time, to get these fantastic benefits! I can't wait to meet you all! Liana
