OUR MISSION "Striving to replace negative perceptions one bud at a time."

- WESTDALE BLOOMS 2020

HOW WESTDALE BLOOMS CAME TO LIFE! Identified the many green spaces in Weston and Rexdale that need maintenance Explored advantages of community gardens Positive impacts a garden has on people Identified the issue of food insecurity Found that a beautification project helps shape outsider perceptions

Our Vision To tackle the outsider perceptions of the Weston and Rexdale communities through means that include, but are not limited to: Foster intergenerational relationships and conversations Promote environmental literacy and ownership of green spaces Maintain the existing green spaces Contribute to easing the struggles surrounding food insecurity Enable greater volunteer opportunities

WESTDALE INITIATIVES Sow-A-Plant Kits and Planter Boxes

Find Your Plant Booklet

What Are Sow-A-Plant Kits? The Sow-A-Plant Kits are designed with the purpose of providing those interested in gardening with all the tools they need to create their very own at-home gardens. The best part is that they are made inclusively to unique needs as well as do not require any prior gardening experience.

Find Your Plant Booklet The "Find Your Plant Booklet" is WestDale Blooms' guide to helping you find the perfect plants suitable for your environment! The booklet consists of a variety of plants such as flowers, vegetables, fruits and herbs that you can pick from to have included in your very own Sow-A-Plant Kit!
