Policy Assign new safe distance for gas processing plant in residential area This content is mentioned in Decree 25/2019/ND-CP, which has amended Decree 13/2011/ND-CP on safety of onshore petroleum projects, effective from April 22nd, 2019.

Accordingly, the safe distance for the gas processing / treatment plant in residential areas is specified as follows: • Independent houses and auxiliary works (including gardens, fish ponds): 40 meters for special level, 30 meters for level 1, 25 meters for level 2; • Houses with 4 floors or above and / or more than 10 permanent residents: 70 meters for special level, 50 meters for level 1 and 40 meters for level 2; • Schools, hospitals, kindergartens, theaters, cinemas, commercial centers, supermarkets or marketplaces: 150 meters for special level, 100 meters for level 1, 75 meters for level 2.

Vietnam’s low-cost carrier Vietjet said at its 2019 Annual General Shareholders’ Meeting in Ho Chi Minh City that the company planned to open 20 more new international routes this year.
