Financial Highlights 2010-2011
JSL STAINLESS LIMITED JSL Stainless is India’s largest and the country’s only fully integrated Stainless Steel manufacturer. The foundation of the stainless steel journey began in 1978 with a melting capacity of 87,000 tons at Hisar in Haryana. It has been gradually enhanced to 780,000 tons over the last four decades. JSL Stainless has now grown from an indigenous single-unit stainless steel plant in Hisar to the present multi-location and multi-product conglomerate. JSL Stainless is a globally recognized producer of stainless steel flat products in Austenitic, Ferritic, Martensitic and Duplex grades. Its product range includes Ferro Alloys, Stainless Steel Slabs & Blooms, Hot Rolled Coils, Plates, Cold Rolled Coils and speciality products. Keeping in view long term vision, JSL stainless over the last 5-6 years has invested around Rs.9,000 crore in the Odisha Plant for achieving 16 03
complete integration in the stainless steel manufacturing. The Phase I of the Odisha plant was implemented in 2005-06 and has running 250,000 tons Ferro alloys facilities along with 264MW captive power plant. The company also envisages to start the operations from the 800,000tons integrated stainless steel facilities in Odisha in FY 2011-12. This combined with 780,000 tons stainless steel facilities at Hisar would enhance the company’s stainless steel manufacturing capacity to around 1.6 million tons. This would make JSL Stainless amongst the top global stainless steel manufacturer. Driven by its focus on sustained growth & value addition in its products and services, JSL Stainless has led the way with continuous innovation. Its new focus is on providing feasible solutions by developing new product series such as Krome16+ to counter the challenges of escalating raw material costs.
