Dear Members, I am pleased to present the annual edition of the Diplomatic Club Medical Directory as a service to the diplomatic corp.

The aim of the bulletin is to assist diplomats and their families and staff who often come to Israel without knowledge of Hebrew, and perhaps without foreign health insurance that would cover them adequately in the event of emergencies or health problem.

In spite of that, due to my long time experience it treating gum diseases (periodontics) and in cooperation with general dentists I still believe in essential and patient process of treatment of diseased gums and affected teeth. Accurate diagnosis of the state of health of teeth and gums may need several meetings in order to improve oral hygiene before taking final decisions. The final treatment plan states which teeth need gum operation, which teeth have to be removed and where implants should be inserted.

Controlled oral hygiene is necessary in all stages of treatments, and constant connection with the general dentist is needed.

Daily and efficient cleaning of teeth and implants is very important, since gum diseases around implants is more traumatic than around teeth.
