Hardys Tintara: A Testament to Quality Winemaking

Hardys Tintara This story of ingenuity, strong determination and selfless hard work will encourage you everytime you will come across it. A young boy with a burning zeal and passion in his heart moved to Australia to create something that will be admired for generations to come. An old flour mill on the main street of McLaren Vale was converted into The Hardys Tintara winery in 1878. This marked the start of the journey for Thomas Hardy and its been 160 years and more since then; Hardys wines as a brand has made its name and place in the industry. Hardys are proud to make wines that are prized in the markets of the world exactly how their founder had envisioned. Thomas made wines with a belief that it is for people to easily access and enjoy for many years to come. His legacy is being followed and celebrated to this day by his successors. Over all these years, the brand has worked whole heartedly to create a range of wines that is competitive enough among themselves. All the ranges are unique and have a story behind them. One such range is Tintara that boasts of combining age-old methods with new-age techniques. Thomas Hardy purchased the Tintara winery in McLaren Vale in 1876 to expand his already successful winemaking business. His vision for Tintara was to make it synonymous with the outstanding Australian winemaking, just like the region of McLaren Vale. Tintara has many wines under its Core, Geology, T Series and Premium ranges. Each one of them have a reason to exist like Core range has wines from areas with thin soils, limited water and warm summers that helps harness the vines natural vigour and produce intense flavoured fruit. T Series showcases the diversity of alternative varietals that have continued to evolve and develop in the McLaren Vale region. Premium wines are sourced from the distinguished sites of McLaren Vale, where the sub-regionals highlight the best sub-regions depending on the quality of the vintage. And the Geology range draws on the ancient soils to craft a wine befitting such a unique region. Let us take you through their flavorsome Shiraz.
