CHRISTMAS IN THE HILLS Friday 13 December 2013 The Oakbank Racing Club’s ‘Christmas in the Hills’ twilight race meeting will be held Friday 13 December with racing from approximately 3 - 7pm. Guests are welcome to pack a picnic and enjoy the stunning scenery and exciting thoroughbred racing from a trackside location. At $15 per adult and free admission for children under 13, it’s a great way to catch up with family and friends or to celebrate Christmas with staff, suppliers or business partners. As always, there will be plenty of family-friendly fun with FREE amusements for the kids and a visit from Father Christmas himself. A broad range of food and beverages will be available from our on-site vendors and bars. For those who don’t want to self-cater, guests may choose to book one of the many hospitality options available. Full details of each package are outlined within this brochure. THE LIGHTS OF LOBETHAL This year, Oakbank will again be teaming up with ‘The Lights of Lobethal’ – the largest community Christmas lights display in the Southern Hemisphere to showcase the best of the Adelaide Hills during the Festive Season. With racing finishing at approximately 7pm, a visit to the Lights of Lobethal after the races is an ideal way to celebrate ‘Christmas in the Hills’ and treat your guests to a unique experience that captures the true spirit of Christmas. Lobethal is located just 10 minutes drive from the Oakbank Racecourse.

Jingle Bells package $95 per person Located in the historic CS Hayes Bar, this area is just steps away from the member’s grandstand overlooking the winning post. Package includes: • six beverage vouchers per person – selection of beer, red and white wine, sparkling white wine and assorted soft drinks • assortment of hot and cold cocktail style food • admission to the racecourse • casual seating and cocktail tables • race books • TV monitors and nearby tote facilities Roped-off private areas can be arranged for groups of 10 or more guests

Festive Fun group package $65 per person Located at the rear of the grandstand, these picket-fenced areas provide a great location to enjoy a day at the races and you needn’t bring a thing. Package includes: • • • • • •
BBQ buffet style food private cash bar admission to the racecourse private outdoor area with casual seating and undercover shade race books nearby tote facilities and TV monitors
Suitable for groups of 10 - 20 guests. Multiple areas can be booked together for larger groups Grandstand Corporate Boxes $155 per person Located in the main grandstand, this premium location offers a bird’s eye view of the winning post. Package includes: • • • •
an assortment of hot and cold cocktail style food four hour beverage package admission to the racecourse private undercover area including tables and chairs, overlooking the winning post • race books • tote facilities and TV monitors Four corporate boxes available Minimum 12, maximum 20 guests per corporate box Multiple boxes can be booked for larger groups

Private function packages Shining Star package $80 per person with cash bar, or $110 per person with four hour beverage package This private room is located under the member’s grandstand and is moments away from the winning post. Package includes: • • • • •

Santa’s Sleigh package $110 per person with cash bar, or $140 per person with four hour beverage package This private trackside marquee is the ideal setting to host a staff Christmas function or entertain corporate clients. Package includes: • your choice of cocktail style or BBQ buffet style food • admission to the racecourse • private marquee with a view of the track, including casual seating and a private outdoor area with umbrellas • race books • tote facilities and TV monitors Minimum 50 guests

General Admission For a family Christmas get-together or a social outing with friends, why not pack a picnic or enjoy the many food and beverage vendors on offer. Oakbank Racecourse will be a-buzz with festive cheer and fun activities such as the Stable Stars Kids Club, FREE children’s activities, animal nursery, pony rides and a visit from Father Christmas himself. Terms and Conditions • Gates open at 12noon • Packages commence at 3pm and conclude at 7pm • Dietary requirements must be submitted upon confirmation of final numbers • All packages are subject to availability • A 15% non-refundable deposit is required upon booking • Final numbers are required a minimum of seven days prior to the event, ticketing will be provided upon receipt of full payment • BYO beverages are not accepted in the grandstand, marquees or hospitality areas under any circumstances
